He pretty much blew his first British Open, when he hit two into the bern on 18. But he escaped there, somehow got three majors, and now is on the verge of a legendary Champions Tour career. I'm glad he won that first British, because who knows what would have happened in the future. Sometimes, avoiding a disaster like that, which would have likely given him a lifetime of regret, is the most important moment of a golfer's life. Not many players have a clear conscience at the end of a career, but I think Padraig is probably one of them. He "got" his.
