This is the third episode to my new series on understanding sports finances. This is a short overview of the expenses incurred by a large sports club or a sports federation. It covers the major cost areas such as the event costs and the costs related to running a sports organisation, such as FIFA and the IOC etc.
This is a huge topic that I have simplified and summarized, and hope that this provides you an overview of the expense side of sports economics.
