The only upside of a small golf country like mine, is that if somebody is finally selling a club, you probably already know the guy, he is playing one of the 5 courses you play as well, so you do the deal usually right on the range. It is not that uncommon to even get the club for a (unsupervised) test round and only then make a decision. The downside is, the second hand market is very small and prices are not that great, usually not far off from walking into a store and just get a new piece. This is what I envy those florida based golf thrifting youtubers, the seemingly endless choice of old and new clubs.
