Bryson DeChambeau has had a bit of success over the past few years, but after missing the cut this season, a brighter light than ever has been shone on his flaws there. So today, we are going to take a look at his game and the stats behind it to try to find out what the deal with Bryson at Augusta National really is.

It's really hard to say because the sample size is so small. He had a bad weekend of golf. Unless you're Tiger in his prime, that can happen no matter what. Even for Tiger it happened on rare occasion.
He's very clearly not currently as consistent as Scheffler or Rory in Major tournaments. But skill wise, he's in the ball park. Remains to be seen if he ever bring sit all together to get in that convo.
It's not his clubs, because he just won the 2 most recent LIV comps. I think he just wants it too much at the moment, and understandably so. It's a psychological block which is hindering his ability.
Were you saying the same thing about Rory a few years ago? Probably not.
I won
He is trying to reinvent the wheel with equipment instead of working on his shortcomings.
Or it’s just golf and massive lottery , it’s not that deep bro
Are you making a video on the current situation with LIV golf??
You can’t call it recency bias when you’re having to go three years ago to find poor performances.
Having played well at Augusta two years in a row I think it’s fair to assume he’s going to play well again considering it’s a pattern
If he's not good enough and he is winning multiples in liv, what's the level liv players are standing at?
One length makes sense for the mid to long irons, but any club you plan on using around the greens (lob wedge through 9iron) should be standard wedge length.
Bryson watching this video 😔
C'mon guys can't we just appreciate the comedy show DeChambeau's career has become.
Him RAGING out at the driving range was the most possessed and disturbing thing I've ever seen in golf…
That “..par 67 for me” line has haunted him. Ridiculously stupid thing to say.
Is Bryson betting on his own unders?
It's a pitch and putt…. Par 67…
Always top content. Algorithm, DO YO JOB!! Much love from 🇨🇦
If they played a scramble from the Red Tees, in pairs, with Walmart clubs he would win for sure. Especially, if you had to hit over the clubhouse to the 18th green. Lol. My point is he spends a lot of time not practicing and doing dumb shit to entertain. It isn't making his game better.
9:22 My point exactly.
Love seeing Dechambeau struggle…since he's an *+%. 😂😂😂
Dooschambeau
Hot take -Bryson needs to do a swing over haul like Tiger did after winning his masters,
Its called arrogance
Rolu I’m in Ohio too and usually play Maumee Bay a few times a summer, tough course
I expected him to struggle… I didn’t expect him to miss the cut. 😭
He was on SUCH a heater leading to the Masters this year.
I think something people are missing, or more likely ignoring… is that Bryson’s wedges have been lights out the past 12-14 months. It’s been the only thing he’s worked on. He had a bad two days, obviously, but his wedge play on the whole is not some outrageous outlier. He plays from the sand very well…typically.
I think most of his performance was probably mental, that’s usually when he gets in trouble. He’s not tinkering a ton right now, so I don’t think it was an equipment issue. He’s playing with the stuff he’s used to, I think the lights got a little too bright to be totally honest. You have to see it.
I think Patrick Reed said it best. Augusta makes you be creative at times, especially when you're out of position. Last year, Bryson couldn't miss. This year, he did and couldnt recover. He has perfected making the same consistent swing over and over again, but that goes out the window when you have to be creative.
Until these know-it-alls have tried his club setup, they don't know jack *hit! BD has a distance advantage, not so much a finesse advantage. All his notoriety and fame surrounds his distance, not his touch. So without that clear advantage, he's like every other player both mechanically and mentally.
Did you notice how poorly the LIV golfers did at Augusta? How could you NOT notice? Moving to LIV made them SOFT, which is precisely what you become when you take the cheese, when you take the easy money and run with it. There's only two LIV golfers that AREN'T soft, and no coincidence they are the two golfers who decided to leave LIV immediately (Kopeka and Reed). Yes, we all make mistakes, and hopefully learn from them… but there had better be some consequences for the LIV group of softies before they are allowed the privilege of returning to the PGA Tour. You make your bed, you gotta sleep in it.
Watching baby Bryson cry when he walked into the rope is all you need to know about him
Because of the one length irons, his wedges have to have a higher loft to have the same distance as a standard wedge would go. The higher loft with higher swing speed makes the ball go higher in the air. That longer flight time gives more time for things to go wrong. It allows the wind to affect it more. It allows spin to affect it more. Ultimately Bryon would be better of adjusting all of his clubs to a pitching wedge length if he wants to stick with the one length irons. He couldn't claim to high a 7 iron 250 any more but you can just hit a 5 instead. He'd be much more consistent closer in and he really wouldn't lose that much distance.
Most people don't know that all his irons are like 5 to 7 ° upright
look at sergio and john rahm, both masters champions, made the cuts this year but almost came dead last in the field for weekend play. Its an extremely daunting wekeend of golf.
Come on man… "he is just not good enough"?? That is completely untrue.
you are all a bunch of sensitive idiots, the guy enjoys making content and is an excellent golfer. you guys know f.k all abt Scotties actual personality. why judge bryson
