In Part 1 of my Road Trip series, we stop at Sunriver Resort just outside of Bend, Oregon. Playing the Meadows Course was a perfect way to start my trip and morning. Teeing off after a 30 minute frost delay, the weather soon warmed up and Central Oregon showed its beauty.
Designed by John Fought’s layout gives you wide fairways, with strategic sand and water placements. The greens change with the weather, leaving you having to adjust your game throughout the morning.
Although my score did not represent it, I really enjoyed playing the course and being challenged.
I will be back to play at Sunriver Resort again; their hospitality was top notch.
