Tiger Woods is back on the course. Now the question is Augusta.

Woods made his return Tuesday night in the TGL finals, but the bigger takeaway wasn’t the result. It was what comes next. The Masters is 16 days away, and Woods isn’t ruling anything out.
Not yet.
“I’ve been trying,” Woods said when asked about Augusta. “It doesn’t mean I’m not trying… I want to play. I love the tournament.”
That’s enough to keep hope alive.
Physically, it’s complicated. Woods has battled through multiple surgeries in recent years, including his latest back procedure and a ruptured Achilles that wiped out his 2025 season. Recovery hasn’t been smooth, and he acknowledged his body doesn’t bounce back the way it used to.
Still, he’s working toward something.
“I’ll be practicing, playing at home this week and keep trying to make progress,” Woods said.
Even in limited action Tuesday, there were flashes. He didn’t play much, just a handful of shots, but the swing didn’t look far off. At times, it looked like Tiger.
Woods says he’ll be at Augusta regardless. Between the Champions Dinner and his course design project, he’ll be on the grounds. The only question is whether he’ll be inside the ropes or watching like everyone else.
He hasn’t made a decision. But he hasn’t said no.
And with Tiger Woods, that’s always enough to keep the Masters conversation going.
