It’s not the most glamorous setup in the world, and I’m definitely still figuring some stuff out.. but for $290 (for the enclosure) I’m pretty happy with it. Plus it’ll give me something to do during paternity leave. This is just MKi and proof of concept for the space I had available. I do plan on building a better structured enclosure in the future.
-$180 for the PVC and connecting corner pieces (10’x8’)
-$100 for a Temu impact screen dampens sound fairly well and got here fast!
-$10 hitting mat I got I’m from a Amazon return store
-$free carpet to sop balls from bouncing constantly

Congrats. Add whatever cheap padding (foam puzzle, stall mat rug pad, etc.) you can under that hitting mat. Your elbows/wrists will thank you later.
That pvc was a waste of money. Speaking from experience. The first time you hit one of those bars that setup is cooked. They explode.
Can you share the link of the impact screen from temu?
Honestly, not a bad proof of concept. Definitely wrap the PVC in foam or corner pads. It will shatter with a direct strike.
I don’t know how bad your misses are but if it were my house, I would buy some golf nets and run it up the left hand side in case you shank the hell out of a shot and pad the roof line/right hand wall up to the screen for the skyballs and slices.
RIP to any left hand buddies you might invite over – no shot they get a full backswing. 😉
Good tips offered on padding the pipe. I appreciate the iterative approach. Get it going and make improvements/enhancements as you go. Looks good!
I used 3/4 inch metal conduit. Not much more expensive but can take a beating.
I also only used 4 pieces and anchored to my walls works like a charm and cheap friendly
How much did it all cost?
Doing good for a broke boy;) nice bro
Nice, very nice.
That PVC from wont last very long. Even with a foam wrap.
