Finally got started on my sim build this weekend. Been slowly accumulating some of the components over the last 5 months. Setting up in my 30×30 shop behind where I park my truck, so my goal is to have the screen permanently set up and the side nets retractable. Literally started this build yesterday afternoon so go easy on me!

Couple questions for you guys:

  1. What padding should I use around the perimeter of the 13’x10’ screen? I’m pretty crafty so I was thinking I could custom build something but don’t know where to start.

  2. How to keep the side net tight? I plan to have all sorts of friends/family with varying skill levels using this so I want to ensure the net is fairly tight in the chance that a ball gets sent off the toe of the club towards the bar area. Any suggestions on how to quickly/securely do this with the top of the net attached to a roller track?

  3. Floor padding. Whats a budget friendly floor padding to use in front of the screen? I was thinking I could use some foam padding for the first 0-6 feet and then switch to some rubber drainage mats to park on for 6-11 ft. I would leave out a 3×5’ section in the rubber mats for inserting the hitting mat during use.

Would appreciate any and all feedback. Love all the creativity in this sub!
