St. SIMONS ISLAND, GA. – The Kansas men’s golf team is set to travel to St. Simons Island, Georgia, to compete in The Johnnie-O at Sea Island on March 9-10. The team will play at the Sea Island Resort.

Kansas will compete in a 15-team field that includes West Virginia, Cincinnati, Princeton, FGCU, Georgia Southern, Nebraska, Minnesota, NC State, Memphis, UNCG, Penn State, Kennesaw State, Notre Dame, and along with the host school Rutgers. 

Coach Jamie Bermel will travel with a lineup of seniors Will King, Luke Honner, junior Will Baker, sophomore Hatej Grewal, and freshman Arthur Carlier. Sophomore Ty Lasley will also be traveling with the team and will be an alternate.

“We are looking forward to competing on another really good golf course, as they play the RSM Classic on this course,” Bermel said. “The team has had a couple good days of prep work down here and they look ready to go.”

The Jayhawks tee off at 7:45 a.m. CT Monday in a shotgun format. The tournament will consist of a 36-hole day on Monday, followed by 18 holes on Tuesday.
