A top golf club and resort in Surrey is set to open a new restaurant this spring.

Foxhills Club and Resort in Ottershaw will launch Lomri inside the historic Manor House in April 2026, alongside a revamped lounge and bar to offer what has been described as a refined yet characterful social space at the heart of the popular venue.

The new restaurant is part of a wider repositioning of the Manor House near Chertsey, following a £1.5million investment into the late 18th century building at the resort.

The vision is to create a versatile space that feels special enough for celebrations yet relaxed and welcoming enough for everyday dining allowing thoughtful hospitality and vibrant food to elevate both meaningful and simple occasions.

The new restaurant, Lomri is named after the Indian word for ‘fox’, a subtle nod to Foxhills’ heritage and identity.

Symbolising curiosity, intelligence and adaptability, Lomri reflects the restaurant’s spirit of discovery and its journey between cultures, flavours and traditions.

Lomri is centred around an immersive culinary journey led by head chef Achal Aggarwal.

Drawing inspiration from the historic trade routes that once connected India’s ports to Britain, the menu transports guests from the flavours of the subcontinent to the heart of Surrey.

Grounded in authentic Indian ingredients and Japanese culinary skills with warming, layering profiles, Lomri balances tradition with innovation, seamlessly blending Indian cuisine with contemporary British elegance.

Chef Achal’s career spans international training in Tokyo and New York, senior roles with The Leela, Hyatt and multiple Oberoi Hotels, and a key role in bringing the celebrated Wasabi restaurant to Delhi.

Foxhills is situated within a 400-acre estate just minutes from the M3 and M25 and the Manor House was built in 1841.

The resort now features 66 bedrooms, three restaurants, newly-refurbished gym, nine tennis courts, three padel courts, two pickleball courts, five swimming pools, an award-winning Health Spa, creche, soft play area, as well as conference, meeting, wedding and event facilities and two golf courses.

The golf club was established in 1975 and now features two superb 18-hole courses – Bernard Hunt and Longcross – as well as a par-three nine-hole Manor Course.

Lomri opening date: April 2026.

Address: Stonehill Road, Ottershaw, KT16 0EL.
