WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: The 2026 Toulon Collection of putters continues the company’s trademark classic shapes, looks and precision. It’s a 10th anniversary of sorts for the one-time startup from the industry leader Sean Toulon that had a noted run as the milled brand at Odyssey before returning to an independent brand a little more than two years ago. The Toulon brand shipped its first putters in 2016, and while the brand’s most recent launch, the Formula Series putters, embraced new possibilities in its approach to varying degrees of torque-free putting, the 2026 Toulon Collection sticks to the tried and true family of solid-piece milled designs. But also in the mix is the return of an old technical favorite, too: The faces will feature an upgraded version of its deep-diamond milling pattern to improve feel and roll.

PRICE: $600. MODELS: Blades—Austin, Boston, Hollywood; Mallets—Alactraz, Alcaraz Mini, Las Vegas, Monaco.

3 Cool Things

1. The face you can’t forget. Among the early developments in the Toulon putter line was the face milling pattern that looked to enhance both feel and roll. Known as a deep diamond mill, the pattern stretches across the entire face of the putter with a diamond shape cut that includes a small horizontal groove within each diamond shape. That pattern became the preferred milling for tour players who began using Toulon putters in the early days of its startup and Odyssey years. Most notable among them was Xander Schauffele, and the 2026 version of the deep diamond milling pattern is authentic to the two-time major champion’s gamer, said company co-founder Preston Toulon.

“If there were a hallmark of our brand or a flagship milling pattern since we’ve started, it’d probably be this deep diamond,” he said. “This is the one responsible for the lion’s share of our wins on tour. But this is not just the same face milling from 2021, 2022. It looks similar, but it actually is quite different. There’s an added horizontal groove designed to help promote forward roll a little bit better, and the depth has changed, and it’s to bring it literally in line with the exact same deep diamond mill pattern that Xander uses.”

Toulon said the new design creates a larger contact area with ball and putter face for better roll and a better sense of feel.

2. The mix. That sense of exhausting all possibilities to get the littlest things rethought and optimized is pretty much how the 2026 Toulon Collection’s lineup was built, as well. While many of the shapes are familiar, each offers a subtle improvement on versions that have come before. Toulon pointed out even the smoothness of the underside to the cut on the back cavity as an example of how the 2026 lineup tries to get every aspect better. These things aren’t about mass properties and moment of inertia, Toulon said, but on putters like these they may resonate even more.

“We want these putters to perform like crazy, but we also wanted them to like literally invite touch, right?” he said. “Maybe it’s something completely inconsequential and insignificant to the performance of the putter, but it’s not to your experience. It’s not going to increase the MOI, it’s not going to give your four-footer a better chance to lip in, but it is something that would make you enjoy the experience more. So why wouldn’t we do that?”

Those subtleties include softer shoulders and more radiused bumpers on the classic plumber’s neck Austin blade or the more concave flowing shoulders on the more angular Hollywood blade. Meanwhile, the Boston classic blade offers a distinct longer neck that offers less toe hang for strokes with less rotation.

Meanwhile, the mallet lineup again embraces the mixing of milled steel and milled aluminum to maximize feel and higher MOI for forgiveness on off-center strikes. That group includes the compact Alcatraz Mini (in plumber’s neck and double bend shaft offerings) and the full-size Alcatraz. Both feature two 6061 Aluminum sole plates on the heel and toe to create greater stability by removing mass through the sole cavities and pushing mass to the perimeter. The full-size Alcatraz is the largest mallet in the lineup, but both feature wings that are joined by a back bar that creates a window in the back flange to frame the ball at address.

The most dramatic mallet in the lineup is the new Monaco, which mixes an 80-gram aluminum top piece with the 304 stainless steel body that makes up nearly 80 percent of the head’s total mass. The extra long single alignment line creates a distinct point of focus for target awareness.

Throughout the lineup, each model is offered in a special midnight blue finish for the right balance of subtlety and contrast.

3. The Xander. While Preston noted that the company’s putters have been used to record 69 worldwide wins, it’s of course the victories by Schauffele that have been the biggest for the brand. Schauffele has used a custom version of the Odyssey No. 7 that the Toulon group calls the Las Vegas, but Preston referred to it as “kind of a Frankenstein” that’s pieced together from many different parts.

“If you put a gun to our head, there would be almost no way that we could exactly replicate its final form right now,” Toulon said, noting that the shaping of the top line is not exactly flat straight across and the flange is more rounded than typical versions. “It’s because his putter takes like five different versions of the Vegas and smashes them together.”

But in the 2026 Toulon Collection, this version of the Vegas will be modeled after Schauffele’s. “This is the closest we’ve ever gotten to making Xander’s actual putter,” he said. This version features more of the rounded top line with softened edges on the wings for an overall improved and more resonant sound at impact. A large aluminum sole plate covers the cavity that frees mass to be distributed around the perimeter for better forgiveness. Like in all the 2026 Toulon Collection mallets, heel and toe sole weights are loaded in the front for better energy transfer at impact.
