The Spring portion of Princeton’s women’s golf season opens with a trip to Sarasota, Fla. for the Spartan Suncoast Invitational hosted by Michigan State University.
The field of 15-team field will convene at Palm Aire Country Club for 54 holes of play with the first two rounds set for February 15 before the final round on February 16.
The Palm Aire Champions Course was designed by renowned architect Dick Wilson in 1957 and updated by architect Michael Benkusky in 2021. Palm Aire is a members only privately run club which has played host to several PGA and LPGA events over its storied history. The Club features full athletic facilities, including 36 holes of golf; the Champions Course specifically is its signature golf course and a jewel nestled in beautiful Sarasota, Fla.
Included in the field are 12 teams ranked among the top-60 in the latest NCAA Rankings in Division I: Northwestern (23), Oklahoma (27), Kent State (28), Kentucky (30), Clemson (36), Ohio State (45), Princeton (47), Illinois (48), host Michigan State (50), College of Charleston (52), Michigan (53) and Purdue (55), Florida International, Iowa, and Maryland.
The Tigers are coming off a Fall campaign where they had finishes of 1st (Princeton Invitational), 2nd (St. Andrews Links Collegiate) and 3rd (Inverness Intercollegiate). This event opens a five-event Spring slate that concludes with the Ivy League Championship at Baltusrol April 24-26.

The Tigers will be without freshman Thanana Kotchasanmanee who is in New Zealand competing at the R&A’s Asia Pacific Women’s Amateur where she made the cut and is playing the weekend.
