Interesting content this time! It was almost hard to watch you do this. Funny how your low IQ aggressive approach gave you results very similar to what I get with my thoughtful conservative strategic approach! Seemed a little too familiar : )
If you are playing for score only, I agree. I play for fun, stretching, and exercise so I hit those risky shots more often than not. Like catching a trout on dry flies, it is just more enjoyable if you don't mnd the misses (just throw it away like a bad cast). I only hit maybe 60% ish but acceptable to me, but I learn from the mistakes if I'm playing the same course. 2 things: it works out well in match play often and builds confidence when I stuck the green the last round from 200-250 out. You miss all the shots you don't take in my opinion. I would never have made 2 eagles in the last 6 or 7 months if I didn't go for it.
I'm sorry, you're actually not playing aggressive. You're playing reckless. There's a big difference.
I played today and shot 100, but zero penalty shots and 1 sand trap. I did 3 putt 15 greens but had an enjoyable round, Thanks for the tips !

I literally paused the video and took a screenshot at 12:38. That represents me trying to get every yard out of my tee shot and then having to manufacture a recovery shot. Before every round, I will review what I am learning here on this channel and peep that screenshot. My goal is to break 80 several times this year.
Golf isn't a video game which is why the phrase course management exists. There's a fine line between aggressive and conservative.

Playing for a good score is nice sometimes, but pulling off a tough low percentage shot is more fun if the score doesn't bother you.
You clearly did not enjoy that but is was intertaining!

I needed to see this, it was like watching myself at its best. Now I can stop convincing my self tht I can keep playing like this and move on To a smarter style of play

Three years ago, I decided that I would play 9 holes aggressive. I hit 8 pars and one bogey. Played aggressive the following week and made three birdies but had one blow up hole and scored 1 over again. Spent the rest of the summer playing aggressive and didn't even come close to low scores like that. So, now I am of the mindset to know when to play aggressive and when playing aggressive is not the smart play.
