  1. I've watched a lot of Pistons so far this season. I've noticed the early passes also. I'll tell you this, if he can cut the turnovers down more, and they can maybe get another shooter, they're going to be tough in the playoffs

  2. Expected THE Cade vid to be the Knicks pummeling, but, oddly enough this game does fit better in explaining why Cade/the Pistons have found so much success this season

  3. Other than maybe Shai, what primaries find themselves being this active defensively? I think this defensive usage also tracks with what we've seen from him in the Knicks series

  4. This is the content that increase my basketball knowledge and help me create a more realistic setting of basketball on 2K. Channing things here and there to create great basketball feel for the game in 2K has made it fun. Anytime I watch videos like this I just want to replicate it in 2K because basketball is so fun even when you’re not scoring. It’s so fun seeing chaos unfold when watching a pistons game or even my rockets. You never come into a game thinking Cade will go 0-6 from 3 and yet they won and he was doing all the other things that make basketball fun for the non scorers. Reading defenses reading the court watching teammates directing outcomes. Fighting for the ball digging on help defense that’s the type of player I was on the court.

  5. "hang dribble" my ass. That's a carry. This guy is a carry maniac! Refs at one point were actually watching this at the beginning of last season, then they now let it all go. So much for "points of emphasis".

  6. Man, just by the title of the video I already know that every single person on NBA Twitter needs to watch this one.

  7. It is hard to grade somebody like Cunningham because he contributes in other areas. But it is not surprising that a mediocre scorer like Cunningham makes his team BETTER by scoring LESS. In fact, it is to be expected. Detroit is 12th in the league in offense. It would be better if its leading scorer was not well below the league average.

  8. Exactly why watching highlights and remembering stats has ruined basketball discourse, nobody actually watches games to actually notice things that dont show up in the stats that makes players special.

  9. I don’t think Cade will ever be an efficient finisher at the rim. However, if he can make improvements in his jumpshot particularly from three point range. He can become a bonafide top 3 to top 5 player in the league. He clearly has a very high basketballs IQ, great vision, good defender etc. I see a bit of Jason Kidd in him, with a mixture of Penny Hardaway

  10. I feel like it's kind of the same with Luka doncic also. You'll see 15 rebounds on the stat sheet, but in the game you'll completely forget that he got those rebounds. It's not him actually boxing out against another person for a rebound, it's more of just picking it up after the ball hits the rim. Same with his assist too. Out of like six of his assists would be actual playmaking, but the other four would be him passing it to a person and they score 4 seconds later.

  11. his game is defined by leadership. no outlier talents, but making the most of what he's given.

  12. This is a great video, as a microcosm of how minute elements of positioning and awareness effect how plays unfold. This is basketball content I really love, as I get to learn to watch the game in new ways.

  13. Yes it is impressive how much he trusts his team mates and his trust allows them to excel. Pistons are a second round exit this year imo. This video was A LOT of glazing. Anyways..pistons are a piece away from owning the east.

  14. This is definitely what the NBA has forgotten. Looking for flashy plays, when what you want is great decision making, and effort.

  15. Kids this is why it’s important to actually watch GAMES, not just highlights, otherwise you miss out on the DETAILS like this. Great breakdown

  16. I shed a tear watching one of your videos every post. Without fail, you always confirm what I noticed about the game of basketball and the most effective ways to play. The last couple years I’ve played 2K, regardless of my build, the exact way Cade and Shai plays for 6’6 builds and above. Thank you for constantly proving I’m not the crazy person for my play style.

  17. Matters A LOT. That's why the hornets are winning recently, because Brandon Miller & Kneuppel have been super efficient on offense, and Lamelo is doing less (ie. Shooting & turning the ball over less = more efficient)
