The END of TAYLORMADE’s Dominant P790/P770.. WILSON’s Brand NEW XB Irons YOU’VE Never SEEN Before!!

🔥 Is This the End of TaylorMade’s Reign? | Wilson XB Hollow Body Irons Review 🔥

Wilson is back—and they’re not playing it safe. In this video, we take a deep dive into the brand new Wilson XB hollow-bodied irons, a serious challenger in a category long dominated by TaylorMade’s P790 and P770.

Hollow-body distance irons have been TaylorMade territory for years, but the XB brings modern shaping, explosive ball speed, and a surprisingly clean player’s look that could shake up the market. Is Wilson finally delivering a true P790 competitor? And more importantly… are we witnessing the beginning of a shift in the hollow-body iron era?

⛳ In this video we cover:
• First impressions & design
• Feel, sound, and forgiveness
• Performance vs P790 & P770
• Who the Wilson XB is really for
• Whether TaylorMade should be worried
Wilson has been quietly building momentum, and the XB might be their boldest statement yet. Let me know in the comments👇

👉 Is Wilson back at the top table?

  1. Back in the 70's it seemed like Wilson Staffs were a primo brand of club – way over my game. I love my Gen6 XP's. It would be great to see a comparison of these vs. Gen8 XPs vs P790s. Hope Dave heals up quick and we can see how he gets on with these!

  2. I just got the Callaway AI 150 irons a couple weeks ago. Dave did not hit them so well in your older video. How did you hit them? I can swing a lot faster than Dave. I grew up playing with my Grandfather’s blades.

  3. Love the channel and the focus on mid handicap Dave who is made for YouTube! Used Wilson for many years before going to Callaway Apex 21's which I really enjoy. Would try the new Wilson model. BTW may want to change the thumbnail picture to say P790 rather than P 970… Keep up the good work!

  4. I was a Wilson staff player in the sixties and loved them. However, when ping brought out the Karsten 1's, I bought a set of irons. They made golf so much easier and mishits didn't hurt my game so much. Now, in my mid seventies, I need as much help as I can get, to reach the par fives and even some of the par fours. But, it's great to see Wilson being taken seriously again.

  5. Hi chris i played the wilson D300 20.22 to 20.23/24 i then eent to the tokomo 101s but after 4 months but because I wasn't really getting on with them i went for a fitting and i now play the mizuno hot metal 925s with a grafite shaft which im loving at the mo they also fitted me into callaway supersoft ball.

  6. Love your content, would love to see some colab playing rounds. Have you seen Ron Chopper is hoping to play in the UK July time, would love to see you pair play around together.

  7. Chris, these irons are not on the "discount" side with their pricing in the big boy range. Hardly affordable.
You should swing the least expensive clubs you have in the pro-am, just to show that they are playable.
    As always a great video.

  8. Wilson was the first set I played in high-school 30 years ago. Then got fat-shafts that I played for 10 years. Tried the dynapower when I got fit last year but just didn't like the feel.
