Check out the best shots of the day from Round 4 of the 2026 The American Express, featuring Scottie Scheffler, Jason Day, Ryan Gerard, and Andrew Putnam.

The PGA TOUR returns to the United States’ mainland for one of its longest-standing events as The American Express gets underway in the Coachella Valley, welcoming what may be the strongest field in the tournament’s history. World No. 1 and reigning Player of the Year Scottie Scheffler headlines the action, making his long-awaited season debut, and immediately raises the stakes as the TOUR settles into its early rhythm. He’s joined by a star-studded cast that includes his best friend Sam Burns, Patrick Cantlay, Ludvig Åberg and Ben Griffin, alongside a deep mix of major champions, elite world-ranked players and emerging contenders eager to take advantage of the famously low-scoring conditions. With three courses in play and Aon Swing 5 points on the line, early FedExCup momentum is up for grabs as players look to position themselves for the season’s first Signature Events. Defending champion Sepp Straka returns aiming to buck history and repeat in the desert, while the Pete Dye Stadium Course once again sets the stage for a shootout that blends pristine desert scenery with one of the TOUR’s most player-friendly tests.

  1. I love seeing a good Christian Father and husband on the top of the leader board. A true role model for young men.

  2. 20 pga wins in under 4 years.
If he stays fit and motivated for 15-20 more years he could threaten Jack’s record.

  3. Closing strong in the championship rounds. Scottie's fun to watch. He's like a surgeon around the greens.

  4. Can we talk about how far he appears to be hitting the ball? I mean he has all the shots! Short game pretty insane, ball striking off the charts, and the driver can get out there when he needs it. I feel bad for the other guys but I’ve been wrong before!

  5. For those greats that captivated the golf world there was Arnold, then Jack, then Tiger. If Scottie keeps this up another 5-7 years he'll be in their category.

  6. Just amazing how many dingleberries there are in the world. And seems like a higher percentage have really expensive cars too.

  7. Why is this course setup too easy for these players. Just not fun to watch.

  8. Great highlights package; in chronological order (most important), showed approach shots not just the puts, showed mistakes by contenders et al, please keep it up.

  9. Title almost should been “Final Round – Scottie Highlights” 😂 dude is a shooter!

  10. Jay Day has mixed bag of clubs, old and new with jumbo grips.. let's face it he can play with any clubs.. that's how good these guys are

  11. damn… if these guys are just trying to stay close to Scotty, they're doing it wrong. they need to play to eclipse him. they have to push that hard or he will simply do it to them. he seems to always be poised to go on a dangerous run with endless birdies.

  12. Its like 'Joey doesn't share food!' to see Scheffler play😂😂. Nice to see Jason Day playing so well again though.

  13. PGA has a bunch of average golfers who to let one golfer win as much. Congrats to Scottie but the math says PGA is watered down.
