Patrick Reed is 18 holes away from a massive victory at the 2026 Hero Dubai Desert Classic! After a brilliant 5-under 67 on Moving Day, Reed sits at -14, holding a 4-shot cushion over fellow LIV golfer David Puig.
In this video, we analyze Reed’s “locked-in” performance at Emirates Golf Club and why the rest of the field—including Rory McIlroy and Viktor Hovland—failed to make a move. Is Reed sending a message to the PGA Tour after his recent comments about wanting to return? We also look at the Sunday showdown between the two LIV stars in the final group.
If you’re following the road to Scratch at 50, Reed’s short game and mental toughness this week are a masterclass in how to close out a tournament.

I hope Saudi Arabia keeps these players and that the PGA never lets them back. That would be the ideal situation. And I think it's interesting that certain types of personality have self-selected themselves for the LIV train. Not many of them are likeable.
LIV should merge with the DP tour and keep the DP framework.
