Stop “Placing” the Golf Club (Try the Hammer Strike Instead)
Every golf “guru” tells you to “swing easy” to fix your slice or improve contact. Take our FREE Simple Swing Fix Quiz For Senior Golfers ▶ https://quiz.theartofsimplegolf.com/ They’re wrong. For the older golfer, “slow and easy” is often a death sentence for consistency. When you try to be too smooth, you lose your athletic intent, leading to a “loosey-goosey” strike zone and a violent “snatch” at the top of the swing because your brain knows you aren’t committed.
In this video, we’re rebelling against the “smooth” myth. I’ll show you why “authority” beats “tempo” every single time and how a simple change in your takeaway can stop you from “placing” the club and start you “thumping” the ball like a hammer hitting a nail. We back this up with GCQuad simulator data to show you the objective truth: commitment creates consistency.
Stop trying to be a technical robot and start playing the simple way.

When training, hit as hard and as far as you can. It will make you better on the golf course. It will increase you max distance, it will increase your controlled swing distance and it will increase your confidence committing to the ball strike. This past weekend I made 4 new personal bests with my irons. I am 54 years old and also a first year golfer.
4 Iron 243 yards
5 Iron 241
7 Iron 209
9 Iron 186
