AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – The Patch, the re-envisioned Augusta Municipal Golf Course, is just months from opening to the public with construction progressing on schedule for a spring debut.

Aerial footage from Sky 12 drone showed the course’s current state as work continues on the facility. Construction started last March, and hundreds of trucks full of sod came and went over the summer months.

The course was fully turfed as of Aug. 3. Work is now largely focused on the clubhouse, which will be located near Wrightsboro and Damascus roads.

The clubhouse is expected to finish around New Year’s, along with the on-course comfort station. The Patch is set to open in the spring during Masters week.

Job openings are coming for The Patch. The course says positions are available for golf professionals, cart and shop attendants, food and beverage staff, and greenskeepers.
