Prime Tiger was a beast. I am glad I got to see him when I did.
Mad_Matter03
30th in fairways hit. 1st in Greens in Regulation. Man was he fun to watch!
RadiantWhole2119
I missed seeing his reign. Just too young to care. I can imagine seeing shit like this live would be a different level of experience.
I am however really enjoying watching Scottie’s current tear. No one will be Tiger again, but Scottie makes me want to watch golf.

Muirfield No 11?

Prime Tiger may have been the most dominant athlete ever
Thellamaking21
I think I heard it explained once before what made it so interesting is that he’s like Scottie Shefflers dominance with Rory Mcilroy’s play style.

He missed, though. Left it a few feet short

The music is absolute ass.

The shots in the video games were only made possible because Tiger showed what the possibilities were.

I can do that from 240 with my long hybrid, 3 hybrid.

Prime Tiger was peak athleticism.

Yeah…. But did he make the putt? /s
SuccessfulAd4606
Even with Scottie playing so well it’s nothing like the Tiger dominance

Dude carried a 2 iron in his bag?!

What is this stupid music over the video?

The pros today don’t know what it feels like to have Tiger’s breathing down their neck on Sunday afternoon. It was a great era.

it’s the swing girth

The sound of that swing makes me shiver

Too bad he can only hit it 273

I didn’t start playing golf until my 40s but I had Tiger Woods polos and hats as a child. His impact on golf was so massive for the time. Also, Tiger Woods PGA game on the original PS was so freaking fun. Especially when you got Tiger power.

Back in early-mid 2000’s i thought he would shatter jack’s major record and every other record. I’m still in disbelief that it never happened

Haven’t seen a lash like that in decades outta the goat

It lands so softly too

Nobody can convince me he didnt max that bitch.
We all do it. I hit my 5 wood 235. That’s my number. I may have only hit it once but that’s the number.
A 274 3 iron is tigers number. Nobody will convince me otherwise.
Objective_Site3528
This is one of the purest golf shots ever struck.
FlyingSceptile
There was one where the on course commentator gave the yardage and club Tiger was using and the announcer in the tower said “I don’t want to hear that”. Many of the yardages we take for granted now on Tour used to be Tiger and only Tiger by 30 yards.

Imagine walking in on a 274 yard 2 iron

There’s no way to explain Tiger 1997-2008 to anyone who wasn’t around to witness it. In any given round in any given tournament, it was entirely possible that he’d do something that just seemed to defy physics.
It was so much fun to watch. I’m glad I was around for it.

Tiger Vision existed in the games for a reason.

Crazy!
bionicbhangra
With Tiger in his prime it felt like anything was possible when he stepped up to the ball.
Anything within 15 feet when it was a big putt felt inevitable. I can’t imagine what that must feel like to be that clutch on the greens.
