The Opening Swing and the calendar year wrap up this week on the DP World Tour at the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open. This week sees the ninth edition of the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open and second to be held at the stunning Heritage La Réserve Golf Links. John Parry returned to the DP World Tour last season after claiming three wins on the 2024 HotelPlanner Tour and it did not take him long to claim a first DP World Tour victory in more than 14 years. After four events across three weeks in two continents, the Opening Swing on the Race to Dubai reaches a climax this week in Mauritius.

However you’re capturing the audio, please keep doing it. It genuinely feels like being out on the golf course, and it makes it much easier to understand the conditions the players are dealing with. Other golf coverage often seems to digitally filter out the wind and surrounding sounds, which takes away from that realism. I’m really enjoying this approach to the audio.
