Nice — That’s doing your job as first off! Nothing worse than a first group off that plays in 4:30! Criminal.

3.5 hours is nice, 4 hours pleasant, 4 hours 20 minutes is to be expected, 4 hours 30 minutes is not criminal, but slow. 2 hours 30 minutes is not golf it’s “I have to get home or my wife will kill me, walk faster, walk faster”!

I played a solo round with a caddie down in the Dominican a few weeks ago. We were through 9 in less than an hour. We got backed up around 13. Still finished in less than 3 hours
CompetitiveSale7198
Is that a par 4 or par 3? That would be one vicious par 3.

The only issue with being the first one out is that there are no dew lines on the putting greens to help with the reads

2:30 min?! What did you play 3 balls? Pick up the pace slowpoke 😂🤣😂 jk – nothing better than an expeditious round – but now you’re gonna be spoiled and 3.5 will feel like an eternity.
bout3_50
Second group out is best. First group usually does well at setting a fast pace and you get the benefit of seeing their dew putting streaks on the greens. Closest we get to Tiger Vision.

We like playing golf. As long as we don’t have to play it for too long

Home in time for breakfast.

I will always do my best to get the first tee time, especially as a solo player. I got tired of asking buddies to play. I don’t mind getting paired up with a random group.
Also, with winter golf in full affect, I’m getting better prices.
BilboSwaggins1993
Maybe I’m the odd one here, but I like my golf to take about 3.30. It’s a fun, relaxing (frustrating…) thing to do for a chunk of time, not a task that needs to be done as fast as humanly possible.

And somehow the course will still end up insanely backed up!

I love everything about being first out except the dewy grass. Sub 3 hour rounds are glorious though.

Were you playing completely solo or in a twosome/threesome/foursome?
JumpyBase4378
I’ll go out for a solo round early morning and will be back home within 2 hours of my tee time. Always the best not having to wait between every shot
TheChubbyGolfer66
It really is a wonderful feeling. And playing well makes it even better.

Sometimes the grounds crew might still be working and in your way, but overall, the speed of play at Dawn will make it nearly impossible to consider playing any other time of day

Cherish it!! I was second out on Friday and first group out was a fivesome that couldnt advance the ball more than 30 yards at a time :/

There is always a group or two that doesn’t have a tee time, but goes out before the first group and does their round in 2 to 2.5 hours. Seems like every non-resort course has those groups.

First/second out is fucking glorious. The smell, the fairways and greens still covered in dew. The soft light…and the rad as fuck pace
Hang it in the Louvre
Nice work. Playing fast = better play for me.
