why do zero torque putters bother people so much?
One of those golfers used their feet to feel what the break was on greens. Using your body to read greens has been around for a long while.
I’m sure Justin Rose, Fowler, Zalatoris, Adam Scott, etc will be fine.
Every aim pointer who I have played with in a tournament sucks at putting. Used to work for that guy on the right.

I’d be more worried about Cliff Roberts and ANGC coming for me for slow play than these guys (especially when I’m only on the 2nd hole)

I think they would be more concerned about your malbon attire.
No problem aim pointing, just don’t wait till it’s your turn to start the process. Being ready when it’s your turn on the green, or going out of turn because you are ready and the golfer up is too slow will cut rounds by 30 minutes easy.
Imagine caring that much about what equipment other people use and how they choose to play a game.

Hogan would have been the first guy to try a LAB putter. He hated putting and would have done it day 1.

Arnie was just all of that back in the day. I used to live not far from Latrobe, and not only is it the home of Mr. Rogers and Arnie the swashbuckler, it has a great little airport. You can fly to Florida for about 100 bucks round-trip and there’s only one gate. Plus free parking and a statue of Arnold Palmer out in the front, doesn’t get much better.
Well, it does, because it’s cold as hell and you’re pretty far from everything else. But there’s some amazing golf courses. Laurel valleys just up the road and Nemacolin Woodlands is a bit of 40 minute drive if that.
The guy on the right gamed one of these in the 90s so I think he would be ok with it.

It all comes down to what you are used to. You could putt with a mini golf putter and still be about the same if you could take 100s of reps a day. Pros putt with whoever pays them the most. Practice is what makes it.

Those guys wore one inch metal spikes. Aimpoint would have made those greens more difficult to putt.
Imagine doing it in wool pants and a cardigan in 95°.. I’m pretty sure everyone on tour would die of heat exhaustion by the time the putt went in
