He’s the official CDPI number one now sealed the autoameric title and will be representing India at the DP world tour next year. [Music] We have with us the Vishwa Samudra Open 2025 presented by Capil Dave champion Yuvra Sandhu. Incidentally, he’s also sealed the PGTI order of merit title with this victory, his sixth of the season. He is now officially the PGTI number one and will represent India at the DP World Tour next season. Yuvraj, many congratulations. Sixth win of the season, matching the PGTI record for most wins in a single season, sealing your DP world to a card becoming number one on the order of merit. take us through, you know, what has stood out for you this season. I think uh what has really stood out this season uh for me would be just being very very consistent with my routine and uh with uh with the way I step into a tournament. So I think that that is really something which has stood out this season. Also six wins for you but one can’t forget the runner-up finishes. three runner-up finishes, uh two heartbreaks, you came really close to winning. Uh how was it gathering your thoughts after that, coming back from those disappointments, those heartbreaks, and moving on very quickly, putting them behind you? I mean, you know, it is a heartbreak definitely when you’re leading the tournament down the stretch and you you don’t end up winning and you finish runners up, but uh you know, it was actually more or less uh more or less, you know, proving it to myself that I am better than last week. I am better than the Raj who played last week uh to today and uh I continue doing that. Uh definitely you know you you don’t really learn when you win so much uh you only learn when you have it and then you don’t have it. So I think going back to the drawing board is very very important and those heartbreaks or those runners up finishes were some some or less very very important for me to understand uh myself better. Now talking about winning at the Delhi Golf Club which is known as the home of Indian golf. You’ve seen your heroes been over here as a kid. Uh you know the golfing icons of India. Uh tell us about that feeling. I mean uh I have a very very very vivid memory of coming uh to DGC as a junior golfer and I was walking with uh none other than than our Indian legend Joti uh you know Joti Shahad was he won the Indian Open that year and uh you know growing up as a child you always see that you know even I want to do this even I want to experience that I I want to taste that victory. Uh, I think it’ll sink in when I actually just get home and uh see my trophy and I’m just sitting with my friends and family. I think that’s when it’ll actually uh sink in. Right. Uh, now talking about the Order of Merit title, uh, you’ve uh, sealed your number one spot. How are you looking forward to playing on the DP World Tour and tell us a little bit about sacrificing your Asian to a card to, you know, achieve that goal? Yeah, I mean uh about 3 4 months ago, I took a very conscious decision um of letting go of my Asian card. Uh it was definitely hard for me because uh I am one of those players who have gotten the Asian do card through the tougher route I would say which is the ADT. I think I’m blessed. I’m very very grateful that uh things have worked in my favor and uh you know I’m sitting here with the DP Volto card and I’m really really excited I would say uh even though I’ve just had the sixth win of the season I’m you know I’m literally itching to go out there on the DP world tour and compete and play well uh we had uh Rory Maroy and likes of Shane Lowing and ML and coming into DP tour at DGC. I think that week also gave me a little glimpse of what DP World is. uh and that also motivated me to be on that tour. Thank you for speaking to us. All the best for your stint on the DP World Tour. Well, that was our PGTI order of merit champion for 2025, Yvraj Sandhu. We are all excited to watch him play on the DP World Tour next
