Not at all how I thought these golf balls would work but so cool to see that’s how they give them a mirror finish

This might be the strangest golf ball you can play on tour. This is the Chromax golf ball, and I can’t tell at this point if it’s a golf ball or a disco ball because of how reflective it is. It’s supposed to be super high visibility, but at this point to me, it looks like a mirror. So, I wanted to throw it in for a full test to see how this golf ball works. The first thing I did was throw it in for a sweet spot test. And we take a look at the sweet spot line here. You can see that it kind of goes just through the logos. Nothing special. But what I thought was really cool about this golf ball was that the line is actually reflected back on it because it has that mirror effect. Then I threw it in my compression tester to see who’s going to perform best with this golf ball and it said 110 mph swing speed is going to be the best swing speed. But that’s kind of ridiculous considering the look is more for an amateur golfer. Then I threw it in my cutter so we could see what was going on inside. And the middle bit was very easy to cut through, but the outer shell was not at all. And when we take a look inside, you can definitely see why. Now the core is perfectly centered, which was awesome. And the outer shell is this like clear plasticky feeling stuff, but then there’s this like rusted rim that goes around it. And so I wanted to see what exactly that was cuz it’s probably a third layer on the golf ball that makes it shiny. So I cut it again. And when we take a look here, I could barely start to peel it off. And I was starting to see more of that like gold color. So I got it up with some pliers. And that’s how we could see it. It had like a waxy outer coating on the inner core. And then on the inside of the shell, it had this like vinyl mirror print on it so I can see myself.

Have you thrown these balls in more than once? To see if the line always ends up in the same place? I’ve seen multiple people post where the line is different every time they put it in the cog spinner
This just draws a line on the ball you moronnn, it’s doesn’t find the “sweet spot”
Not a sweet spot test center of gravity test
Looked like a boiled egg inside. 😂
