A former major winning PGA Tour player, Caddyy Duo is set for a long- aaited reunion in 2026 after their unexpected split in 2023. Websimpson, the 2012 US Open champion, will once again partner with his longtime Caddyy Paul Tesar next season. The two previously spent 12 successful years together before parting ways following a difficult stretch in which Simpson missed five cuts in 10 starts and slipped to number 133 in the official World Golf Ranking. We decided to do a one-year deal and we’re going to grind it out for his 11 or so events. Tesar told Golf Week Webb has been extremely generous. I’m under a very generous salary that has enabled me to do it and that helps with staying home more often. During their time apart, Tesar worked with Cameron Young, Brendan Todd, and most recently Tom Kim. He split with Kim in June as the South Korean prepared for spinal fusion surgery. Tesar later filled in for Simpson at the 3M Open where the two discussed officially reuniting for the 2026 season. Tesar has also previously cattied for VJ Singh and Shawn O’Hare. Simpson enters next season with one final year of fully exempt status carried over from his two- win 2020 campaign. He earned an additional year of exemption due to the CO9 pandemic and also holds a career money list exemption. I’m trying to get back to my 2011 mindset of long-term goals. Simpson said, I want to focus on working towards something and not get caught up in every round. Tesb could play 10 more years or he could play one more year. Hopefully, he does something big, wins, and we extend that schedule a little more. The pair’s decorated history includes their major breakthrough at the 2012 US Open, Simpson’s victory at the 2018 Players Championship, and multiple appearances together for team USA in the RDER Cup and President’s Cup. With Tesri on the bag, Simpson also reached a career-high world ranking of number four. God.
