While looking to schedule a playing ability test for my PGA membership for this upcoming year, I made a rash decision. There is only one within 100 miles of where I live, so I've decided to make a trip out of it. It is NOT the champions course, come to find out, but I only paid the registration fee of $150. Still a deal!

The PAT is a 36-hole one-day event where aspiring PGA pros go for a target score of 15 over the course rating. A PGA pro is not someone who plays on tour. It's just someone who books your tee time and gives you a fitting/lesson.

I've got some questions. If anyone has played Dye's Valley, let me know what you thought. I also want to hear from anyone who has taken a PAT before.

Dyes valley is very difficult. Water down the entirety of one side of the fairway on basically every single hole

Good luck! I passed my PAT in July. Likely on a significantly easier course than this one, lol
