What a story we have from the DP World Tour qualifying school. An emotional Eddie Pepper has just secured his tour card for next season in the most dramatic fashion possible. Seriously, you couldn’t write this stuff. Picture this. Final day, final round at Infinitum. The pressure is immense. Your entire next season hangs in the balance. What does Eddie do? He steps up and birdies the last four holes. Four. That sensational finish pushed him to 19 under par, landing him safely inside the top 20 and securing his playing privileges. For those who follow Eddie, you know this is a huge moment. He’s a massive fan favorite known for his wit and honesty, especially on his podcast, The Chipping Forecast. This victory is extra sweet because just last year he missed out on his card by a single shot, agonizingly missing an eagle putt on the very last hole. Can you imagine the heartbreak? That meant a tough year playing a mixed schedule on the DP World Tour and the Hotel Planner Tour. But this year, he fought his way through two tough stages of qualifying backto back in Spain. After his round, he was visibly proud saying that was a tough day with a great finish. I really hung in there. I am delighted. Remember, this is a guy who won twice in 2018 and was a top 50 player in the world, even tying for third at the players championship. But since then, he’s been incredibly open about his struggles, both with the technical side of his game and the mental battles that come with it. When asked to describe what this moment meant after all the difficult times, the emotion just poured out of him. He started to answer then had to stop overcome with tears. All he could manage was the game has been tough for a while. I have made it hard for myself. So next question. That raw emotion says it all, doesn’t it? It shows just how much this means to him. So what’s next for Eddie? He asked expected to head down under for the BMW Australian PGA Championship to kick off the 2026 race to Dubai season. He admits his game isn’t perfect, but he’s heading into the new season with a huge dose of confidence and optimism. As he put it, I just want to take forward what I have just done here. We are so thrilled to see Eddie Paprael back on the main tour. His journey is a powerful reminder of resilience and what it means to fight for what you love. What a legend. Thanks for watching.
