LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil has confirmed five-time major champion Brooks Koepka “has signed for 2026” and will not be headed back to the PGA Tour.

O’Neil confirmed Koepka’s LIV Golf status for next season during an interview with Sports Business Journal’s Josh Carpenter.

Koepka’s initial multi-year deal with LIV Golf came to end this season.

There had been rumours in the industry that Koepka was considering a switch back to the PGA Tour, despite him remaining a suspended player.

But that’s not the case, confirms O’Neil.

Koepka remains a LIV Golf League player and Smash GC captain entering 2026.

Smash GC is made up of himself, Talor Gooch, Graeme McDowell and Jason Kokrak.

“I know you’re not going to want to hear this one, just the individual players, and this goes back to our policy, we’re just going to run it through,” O’Neil told Sports Business Journal.

“So, we haven’t made any announcements on players, but he [Koepka] is signed for 2026.”

Two-time major champion Dustin Johnson, 4Aces GC captain, also recently confirmed he has also extended his deal to remain on LIV Golf.

Talks are reportedly still ongoing between LIV Golf and Bryson DeChambeau, but it’s understood the two-time US Open champion and YouTube sensation will remain on the Saudi-bankrolled circuit in 2026.

It’s understood Koepka and DeChambeau accepted deals in the region of $125m when they first penned deals with LIV Golf in the summer of 2022, while Johnson’s deal was north of that at around $200m.

Other superstar signings such as Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton remain in multi-year deals with LIV Golf having both signed in 2024.

Rahm and Hatton are still currently waiting to hear back about their appeals over DP World Tour fines for having joined LIV Golf.

A major update was provided on the appeals process last week.

Reports surfaced recently that the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) is no longer stumping huge sums of cash to sign players any more.

O’Neil also told Carpenter he considers LIV Golf has a “puncher’s chance” of receiving Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) points before the start of the 2026 LIV Golf League season in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in early February.

He admitted there has been a a bit of “back and forth” between LIV Golf and the OWGR board on the subject of the league receiving points in 2026.
