If there were any lingering doubts about Anthony Joshua’s capabilities, he dispelled them quickly on Friday. Joshua scored a stunning knockout against former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It took him less than two rounds to finish Ngannou, delivering a pair of knockdowns before the decisive final punch.

Having previously held three of the four major titles in the division, Joshua made it clear that he remains a top contender, sending a strong message to Tyson Fury, who was watching ringside. Fury had a tough time against Ngannou last October, getting knocked down before narrowly winning by split decision. Joshua is now waiting to see the outcome of Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk before planning his next move, having lost two decision fights to Usyk in 2021 and 2022, which cost him his titles.

Ngannou, who was not interviewed after the fight—a growing trend for fighters who experience such a heavy knockout—did share a statement on social media.

“Sorry guys, I let you all down,” Ngannou wrote. “Today was a bad day in the office, but tomorrow will be another day. Thank you all for the love

  1. I love rewatching this fight because I know UFC Meat Riders cried all night after this. A tear drops everytime he went down lmao

  2. Fury: lets make a show out of this. Don't need to train
Joshua: i have dinner reservations tonight for 8:30 so it has to be done by the 2nd.

  3. Как будтто перечатки разные у Джошуа маленкие а у Нгану огромные почему

  4. Anthony Joshua was smart used his jab, feints and landed smart punches that lead to the knockdowns and knockout yeah Francis Ngannou was not ready for Anthony Joshua but respect he went in there and give Tyson Fury a tough fight and was doing well against AJ but man Francis Ngannou vs Joe Joyce would be a WAR

  5. Then when jakes team contacts francis for a fight he felt disrespected but yet anthony the guy who kos him accepts the fight with jake. Francis being a little francine.

  6. Please God let this fight with Jake Paul actually happen. Jake think since he's been training for a fight for months that he will force AJ to fight on short notice. Probably only a couple weeks to train that it will somehow give him a chance. We all know what's up.

  7. A.J. is going to merk JP.

I dunno why Jake would fight AJ. It's foolish and a guarantee loss.

Maybe Jake is going to give his haters some entertainment.

Cuz you can't even sit here and think that you're going to win that fight if you're Jake Paul.

Is literally just giving his haters a treat I think.

    Which is cool..
If you're going to take a big loss Anthony Joshua is probably the best opponent. 😂😂

I wouldn't even sneeze at Jake losing to Anthony Joshua because it's going to happen.
    No way Jake wins.

In fact if Jake does not get knocked out cold then the fight is rigged 100%. 😊
