But if you look at this PJ teaching coaching model, this covers everything. It’s the only drill you need to do. It covers center contact, path, face angle. So like on this path we talk about for all you over the top flippers. When you’re doing this with the one arm, it just drops in the slot automatically. And then you create that strength so you can grip the club correctly. If you’re gripping it wrong or you’re gripping it in the palm, you can’t do anything with it. So you definitely have to grip it in the finger, which allows that lead arm to extend back and to create that hinge position. So you’re covering your path, your arc width, your arc length, your lever system, your release of body and hand, club head lag. This motion of the lead arm pulling down keeps that lag angle in place. That’s got you there. And then your own tempo timing rhythm.

When I do this drill, I really have to keep my trail hand and arm as passive as possible.
