When it comes to choosing the right golf bag, there’s so many options. Let’s break down what one might be best for you. So, starting with a pencil bag, range bag, maybe Sunday bag known as most of these now come with double straps, which I would say is quite essential. Even though these bags are super light and small, they are best to still try and even that weight across your back with the double strap. Makes it so much easier. You can single strap and obviously double strap with these. So, just put one on or not. You’re going to get nowadays plenty of pocket spaces in these. And you get some. This Callaway one comes with this little kind of half kickstand as well if you don’t want to lie down in the wet grass. Lots of people use these as kind of wintry bags ideas. And you can now I mean fit a full set of clubs in these. Some of them you’re only going to fit a few clubs. This one you definitely could fit a full set of clubs. And it’s divided. I think when it comes to a lightweight, maybe second bag when you want to just say if you’ve got a bag on a trolley and you don’t want to take that in the winter, you can’t because they get banned, you might then have this as a secondary cuz you want to keep it really light, but you still want to play in those wet winter months. Pencil bags, great. I wouldn’t use them as my main bag personally, but a good secondary bag option. Next would be your carry bag. So, this is a step up from the pencil bag, which is also carried. It’s fuller in size. You’re going to get everything in here. More pocket space, bigger pocket space, bigger pockets at the front. This is a ping one. Big pockets at the bottom and on this side as well. Again, double strapped is something I would look out for. They’re going to come in different ways divided. Some will be basic, some will get more dividers at the top. General rule of thumb, the more dividers you get at the top, the heavier they can get. So, subject to a carry bag being wanting to be light as the agenda for purchase. If you like, I would be careful with how many dividers you get up there. If you’re not fussed about that, then divide away. You can get waterproof versions or not. You can get some that are lighter than others. They’re all going to feature a nice big stand that’s activated at the bottom by just pushing down on the bag with the weight of the clubs will basically activate that stand. It kicks it out like that. um you’re looking for padding, you’re looking for pockets, and you’re thinking about light or heavier if you want more divided. This is an essential golf bag for most golfers who do want to carry their golf clubs. Then we move up to cart bags. So, these bags are designed to go on trolley. So, this is a power caddy one. It comes with its unique lock that locks it onto your electric trolley, making sure it’s super super secure. They are often coming with one strap just so you can move it between say car and trolley um or car and into your garage or wherever you store your golf clubs. No stands cuz that tends to get in the way. Loaded with pocket space. These aren’t worried so much about weight. You can get lighter and heavier ones. Magnetic pockets. Just hundreds of pockets on these bags. Often divided at the top. This is 14 way divided. You also got a separate slot for the putter. Um, you get waterproofing versions of these and not you get lighter or heavier version, deluxe versions. These are golf bags that people will be buying if they have a dedicated trolley, electric or pull push. They are going to have this bag with plenty of room, plenty of organization for the clubs and you can just get everything and more into them. But they are not going to be carried around the golf course. If you end up having to carry something like this around the golf course, something has gone wrong with your trolley. A slightly newer category that’s coming more and more popular. This is a hybrid. So, this has a stand and it’s also got double straps that come out from in here. They’re basically packed away, but you got double straps as well. It looks pretty much like the carry bag, but it has the locking system for the trolley on the bottom. This is the Hydrolex. This one’s for Motor Caddy. So, this will go on their electric trolley as well as it’s light enough to be carried. So, if you want the best of both worlds, so you want a good amount of dividing at the top, but not as much. You want a good amount of space in your bag, plenty of pockets, but it’s still quite light so you can carry it when trolley are banned. These hybrid options are really quite smart. It’s going to go on a trolley. It’s locking in. This locks away so it doesn’t get in the way. It’s not going to be one of those carry bags that you put on a toilet that just falls off on about the fourth hole, which is super frustrating. It’s called a hybrid because it’s doing in theory the best of both worlds. If you don’t want to own multiple golf bags, this might be the option if you are looking at a trolley and in the winter months to carry your golf bag. Then finally, if you’re really going for it, this is the tour bag. This is what you’ll see on the telly. This is what those poor caddies have to carry around when you watch the pros on the telly. They’re branded up. They look super smart. They’re deluxe kind of materials. You’re not going to be 14 way divided on these. They’re going to have their dividers pretty open. Um loads of pocket space. Like just huge amounts of pocket space. But these are serious golf bags for price and for commitment to room in your car and at home. And they’re heavy. They’re like not built to be light. They’re built to look like what you’re seeing on the TV. These are a real treat for anyone who wants that tour pro kind of look and appearance when they play golf.
