The next bout of the evening is an amateur Muay Thai contest taking place under 66 kg. Please welcome first in the blue corner representing Carlo Muay Thai Logan Ro. And please welcome his opponent in the red corner representing team Torres, Cameron Smith. Final instructions being given by the referee. Here we go. Range advantage seems to go to Roach. See if he can fully utilize lead hand, lead leg dominance. Nice work again off the center line there from Smith. Oh, again can be quite difficult for a technical fighter to find range in the opening round when it when they’re met with huge energy. That’s a nice knee from Roach. Caught the leg, popped the knee up the middle. Solid work being done in the clinch here. Strong work from Roach in the clinch. Roach seems to be the one who’s dictating the clinch a little bit more. Real tight grip again. Unless both fighters have done this in camp, this is going to feel very awkward for one. Already a little bit of marking up underneath the left eye of Smith. and settling down now a little bit again. They seem to end up in the clinch by default as opposed to one person driving it. Yeah, it’s more so that with no disrespect, but they’re falling into the clinch a little bit more than proactively looking for it. Great knee and turning. Approaching the final stances of round number one. And neither fighter really seems to have got a real foothold in the fight as of yet. No. No. But still, this could all change in a second. We kind of feel like they’re building up to something. Round one in the books. They’ve had an opportunity to have a little bit of a look at each other. They’ve tested one another in the clinch. They felt one another’s strength. Fight is very much wide open for either fighter to to take control a little bit. Just as we say that, that’s very nice work to begin from Roach. And the tape from Smith. Roach now seems to be the one who’s leading the dance a little bit more. again. He’s a lot of unanswered shots there that the judges are going to be looking at. Nice movement from Roach. Nice change decision making there. Right leg kick score. Head movement. Rolls underneath. Works the body too. This is a good round so far for Roach. Once again, we find ourselves in the clinch and it may be won or lost in this clinch if they keep going one for one. The judges will be looking at who’s dominating. Muay Thai clinch is a huge score within the rounds. decent work from Roach though. He’s elicited that reaction of the check. He’s faked the leg kick and has gone up top a couple of times. Yeah. Thought about the sweep. Good balance so far. Again, great refereeing. You notice the way he came back with the leg. Referee allowed it. He’s given the fighters every opportunity to let them fight their way out of these situations. And you don’t get it sometimes on some Mai shows for whatever reason. The the referee may not want the clinch. Too much work in the clinch. Referee called for the break. Decent from Smith. A little bit more work like that from Smith and he could really turn this around. But for me in that round, that’s definitely where we saw Roach starting to pull away a little bit. We’ve said it a couple of times tonight. If one fighter can turn it into a little bit more of a dog fight, a little bit more of a scrappy affair, I believe that would benefit Smith in this situation. And as we say that, he has been a little bit more aggressive now in the opening stanzas. Oh, it’s a beautiful hook from Ro. Strong work in the clinch once again from Roach trying to get that separation, trying to get the break. Smart work from the referee. You see the corner of Roacher telling him to go forward to be the aggressor. Needs to get himself out of that corner. Unless there goes to a significant shot in this round by one of the fighters, this is going to be a tough one to call. They’re they’re I’d like to see one of them just take the advantage, get the last shot in, try to do something a little bit different than the opponent. They say that the the first round for me would be the most difficult to score because it was very much uh a two minutes of feeling one another out. Yeah. Yeah. right now as Smith is trying to be the aggressor. Great body shot and then goes up top. I said Smith was being the aggressor and then just as I say that Roach lands three really strong shots and rightly so. The ref now will break up the clinch. If he feels it’s not being actively sought after, not strong. There’s no strong knees or strong clinch. He will break it up. Oh, good shot to the body, but then just as I say that, Smith lands up top. So difficult to score. Approaching the final 10 seconds of the third and final round here at Deliverance. Fell Campbo. Mark Castway on the call. I don’t envy the judges in this match. This is a tough one. Probably the most difficult one we’ve had tonight so far. Yeah. Ladies and gentlemen, after three rounds, this bout has been declared a draw. Please show your appreciation for both fighters.
