LIV Golf signing Victor Perez calls out PGA Tour’s ‘challenging’ rule changes

Victor Perez recently made headlines by becoming the latest PGA Tour regular to switch allegiance to LIIV Golf. The Frenchman replaced the relegated Frederick Jetup at Martin Camer’s Clicks GC. Following the move, the 33-year-old has come out to site PGA Tours challenging rule changes. one of the reasons for his move for the unverse. Perez earned a spot on the PGA Tour after the 2023 season, which saw him win his third DP World Tour title at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. The golfer confirmed his move to LIIV Golf by withdrawing from the last week’s RSM Classic, which he’s qualified for as 108th in the FedEx Cup standings. Interestingly, this position was enough to gain him a full PGA Tour card for 2026 last year. However, the American circuit reduced the full playing spots from top 125 players to the top 100, denying Perez automatic qualification for next season. It is pertinent to note that he had missed the Butterfield Bermuda Championship cut at the Port Royal Golf Course a few days ahead of his move to join LIIV. Now Perez joins Martin Kair, Richard Bland, and Adrien Moranc on the Clicks GC side, which finished 12th in LIV golf’s 13 team standings.
