The woman of the hour, Caitlyn Clark, arriving to Pelican Golf Club outside earlier this morning to compete in the Anukica driven by Gamebridge ProAm for the second straight year. What a scene. guard for the Indiana Fever twice at WNBA Allstar back at the Anukica mixing it up with the best on the LPGA including Nelly time winner Caitlyn will play her for nine holes and tournament host Anukica Sornam for nine holes there you see Caitlyn’s Indiana Fever teammates Sophie Cunningham and Lexi Hull in caddy bib serving now Sophie and Lexi got these custommade Caddy uniforms they nice bro and they broke the internet. I I reported on that this morning. As you’d expect, the T-Box was crowded with fans and kids to watch. One of the biggest names in all of sports playing the game we love and we will follow along for the next three hours right here. Three-hour event today. Let’s get him. [Music] So guys, this this whole event right here is scheduled for three long hours. We’re going to try to cover it all. I’mma try to cover it all, y’all. I’mma try my best to to cover it all. Oh, somebody said her shoes is dropping right now. Her shoes is dropping right now. Let’s see here on this Wednesday, folks. Bringing homemade signs and a lot of energy out. Even some little kids enjoying the sunshine and the star power one day before the start of the Anukica driven by Gambridge Pelican. Hello and welcome. Damon Hack alongside Anna Jackson and Aean Lynch. Big day in the game. An exciting day for us as we announce USA Sports as the new brand and division name for our company’s robust sports portfolio across USA Network and golf channel. This includes PG. So today, this is Ken Clark’s second year doing this pro amateur event. This is our second year streaming it here on the channel. Um, we should not have any any any lags in coverage or anything like that. At least I hope not. Um, I’m g try to bring you guys this this thing today without getting copyrightening without getting copyritten here on the channel. Uh, but it’s it’s it should be a fun fun fun event. Should be very very very fun. And yes, I did hear should be a very very very fun event. Let me see here. Let me cut this sound back on for you guys. Just ready to have such a good time. And it’s the perfect moment, I think, before we head into next week, the season ending event on the LPJ, the CM Group Tour Championship. The LPJ is back on US soil, back from the Asian swing. And it feels like this is the momentum and really kind of a moment in it. Put a marker in the ground and say the LPJ is back for the next couple of weeks. Yeah, I think it’s it’s a great day to enjoy the fact that a superstar of this magnitude actually enjoys playing golf and enjoys this kind of setting, which a lot of people are are kind of nervous in these settings. Caitlyn Clark isn’t one of them. She’s going to bring a lot of attention, a lot of eyeballs. And it’s very easy to overstate the pi piper effect here. And the audience that comes out for Caitlyn Clark on Wednesday may not be the audience that shows for the actual competitors the rest of the week. And that’s okay. This is an opportunistic moment for attention for the LPGA tour. There’s a whole different conversation about how they turn attention into growth. That’s a strategic conversation for another day, but this is an opportunistic moment for the LPGA tour to put its best foot forward like Steph Curry, Tony Romo, Marty Fish, Danica Patrick. It’s nice to have a star from another sport enjoying the game of golf. And as we told you, Caitlyn Clark already on the golf course. This was earlier the par4 first. Let’s take a look at this golf swing, folks. She’s got to be a little nervous. You got to think the the the whole world is watching this moment. That’s a nice shot. That’s a green in regulation. A it is. They’re playing a shambo format out here today. She’s leaving herself a long putt. We’re going to see that there’s no reservations. This is a traveling violation on this. Damon, I imagine Aean, your game is quite familiar with the shambles. Would you do you Wow, we’re taking shots early. Look at her compare. So Kayn Clark is actually out. I don’t know why they wait so long to broadcast this event, but that’s how they do it for some eerie odd reason. Uh they take a year and a day to bring us the coverage. Um yeah, man. That is so weird that they do that. I I can’t I might go next year. If she if she if she does it next year, I’m I’m going. I should have went this year, man. But I did not go. So this is it right here. I believe this is Kaitlin Clark doing it live. Shirt alive. Shirt alive. Shirt alive. Y’all rust off. Look, she hasn’t been playing her full schedule on the WNBA. We know that. I’m sure she’s had a little bit of time to to just tinker on the golf course on the practice area. I mean, again, I’d be happy with that. I think most people who play for a living would be happy with that from that range. Yeah. Onto the fifth hole we go. And I mean great facetime with Nelly Corda. I mean this is great. We talked to Anukica earlier in the week a you know one of the greats talk about they do talk about workout routines and you know practice routines. It’s not just hi and hello. They’re trying to get some information. Yeah. Yeah. They learn from each other. They don’t learn from the likes of us. It’s just appreciate that scene as well. Caitlyn Clark walking the fairways with Nelly Corder. Two of the greatest American female athletes that we have right now. It just it kind of doesn’t get much better than this, I don’t think. See that butter once again who’s starting to dial it in. Look, a little action there with a little knee bend. Wonderful speed, I would say. She about a high single digits handicap. Yeah, I think that’s what Anaka had her as. High single, low double digits. Better than us, Aiman. Yeah. Plat from off the green on six. finding her comfort zone. She really is. Nice to see the sun shining out there. All those folks watching one of the biggest names in sports. Number one overall pick 2024 WNBA draft by the fever. Finished that rookie season breaking multiple records. Earned WNBA rookie of the year honors that year. Didn’t see much of Clark on the hardwood in 2025 as injuries plague her season. But great to see her inside the ropes on this Wednesday. So with more, why don’t we send it out to Pelican Golf Club where we find our own Grant Boon and Morgan Prele. All right, Damon and Aean and Anna, great to have you with us here. This is This is now live, guys. The books and on the ground like you can get the exact carries of bunkers when you’re shooting with a rangefinder. It’s not the exact carry that you get like when you do it on the ground. So I would say it kind of like maybe could increase time too because there’s an extra step that you’re doing. Yeah. You’re doing like two things organizing on some knowledge. Yeah. I think it’s just so fascinating. I mean I know uh the crew in Connecticut’s talked just about how important today is in the sense of women’s golf. One of the most transcendent athletes in all of sports, not just women’s golf. Kate women’s sports. Caitlyn Clark here playing in the proam and trying to get some tips. I mean, every amateur in the world, nobody, if you know how far you actually carry your ball, that’s one of the most important things you can learn as a professional, something that professionals dial in to the yard. And here, Caitlyn trying to understand, hey, instead of shooting the top of the bunker, why smash that like button, guys, 100 people in here. Come on, y’all. Just these professional athletes are on the golf course. Caitlin trying to learn. Come on, y’all. Like the video, man. Share the live, man. Share the live. Like the video, bro. and she wants to show off for these fans. This is the par five seventh and we have a third shot coming up. Just a big throng out there. You’re going to see a whole bunch of jerseys. Indiana Fever, Iowa Hawkeyes. You should. It’s so funny. This is live. This is live, guys. They go right at it. All right. Has an actual caddy and then has some celebrity caddies as mentioned. Teammates Lexi and Sophie. There’s Sophie number eight. Lexi Hall number 10. Their jersey numbers. Last piece of advice. Aim right at it. I’d have to say she’s used to that. That’s nice. That was nice. Okay. High standards. That was nice there. In the sport that’s not her usual stock and trade. Well, it’s a delight to welcome you here to Pelican Golf Club. And we can answer Anna’s question from earlier. How many times do you ever show a prom on a Wednesday? Been doing this a lot of years, counting last year, two. And here we are, Morgan, watching some oneame wonders, Nelly and Caitlyn. And both times it was because Caitlyn Clark was in the proam here at Pelican and and a special day. It look like a green screen. Why that look like a green screen? I ain’t gonna lie. That like a green screen. It don’t even look real. It don’t even look real. Damn. Damn. That that that right there don’t even look real. Smash that like button, y’all. Smash that like button. Oh, there go Kaylin. Hold on. Back to that alongside a superstar in Nelly Corda. Um it’s just fun to see. Yeah, Caitlyn’s second season in the WNBA was cut short because of an injury. And she said this morning that she felt the rush for the first time. This is her first athletic competition since July, so she was feeling it. Here’s Nelly’s’s third at the bar. [Applause] Nelly, this is her personal playground. She’s won it three of the last four years. never shot over par. Her coach Jamie Mulligan, this might be just what she needs, Nelly. Yeah, just um you know, hasn’t won yet this season. A lot of talk on that, but you feel like I think about when she came back. I said that was definitely a green screen towards the end of the season a couple years ago. It was really powerful for her and a special moment. And here, I swear it didn’t look real. It didn’t look real at all. What the hell they get that from? Just like that as she showed off there short of seven green makes it just look easy guys and this was oh that a okay so this the precursor last year played with Caitlyn. So guys after seeing this aerial coverage see this is what I wanted to see. I wanted to see the aerial coverage because I wanted to see definitively was there going to be more people than last year because we know we’ve been covering it over here on the channel. There has been a drop a drop in interest with the WNBA and Kayn Clark. There has been Hold on. Kayla Kayla Clark off. My bad y’all. My bad. That’s it. She had tremendous speed on the previous hole on her putt there on six. It again. Okay. We were talking. Yeah. Yeah. She looks a little flammished. All right. Amidst the uh huge galleries down there is our own Tom Abbott. Good morning, Tom. I’m going to use Good morning, Grant. It is a beautiful morning out here. A little chilly by Florida standards, but uh the sun is shining. It’s going to warm up. Great crowd as we have seen watching this proam group of superstars. But I tell you, And I am muted. And like I was saying, last year that whole area that was back in the green was full of fans. Like all over here was just full of fans, bro. I’m not seeing that this year. I’m not seeing that. As you can at a golf tournament um to the players and uh you know, not every golf shot is straight down the middle. A few of them might be closer to the gallery ropes than you might see from the pros. So, chance to get up close uh and uh see Caitlyn Clark. So, it’s it’s really nice out here, but I I think we need some more energy. We need some putts to go in. We need some noise. Get him fired up out there, Tom. Yeah. Trying to do a Mexican wave or something. Bro, y’all should have had John liquid inator. Look, bro. This is not that many people, bro. I swear to you guys, I covered this last year, bro. It was thousands of pe I mean you couldn’t even see the green bro. That’s how many people was there. You know almost an entire team out there for the Fever who made it to the semifinals WNBA playoffs before losing to the eventual world champion Las Vegas Aces. And of course you’re going to see a bunch of 22s out there for Caitlyn Clark. I have to say, Grant, she’s probably used to performing in front of a larger crowd as there would be in an arena, but this is not her natural sport. This is not her her sport that So, judging by the way of this, I think they saying Kaitlin Clark doing bad. I believe that’s what they’re saying. I believe so. I believe so. Kaitlin go. That that takes an athlete out of their comfort zone. [Music] And as you mentioned, so competitive once to perform. They play back in Indiana at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. I sponsor this event, the Hey y’all, smash that like button, man. Smash the like button, dog. Come on. Show your boy John. Look there some love, man. Smash like button, man. We got 200 people in here. 100 likes. Smash the like button, man. Damn dog has never seen like college basketball is has never seen record TV ratings of course on NBC and USA Network coming up in 2026 [Music] and now Nelly of course last year turned the LPGA into front page news with her seven win season including five in a row. Par for eighth right down the pipe and Sophie plays a crooked stick in Indiana. Carmel area of Indianapolis. You’ve played a thousand proams. You don’t usually get crowds like this, do you? I played in a bunch of celebrity proams as well, which are which are quite common, but nothing quite like this in terms of smash that like button. Celebrity status in an LPGA proam. Shout out to Australia in the building of friends who texted me today saying, “Are you really going to be on today covering this proam?” And how excited they were to watch and to see Caitlyn. And and you just think about, you know, as Tom said, it’s you can get really close to the players around a golf course, much closer than in an arena setting. This is like the ultimate courtside seat. Here go Kaitlin. Take a look at the swing of Caitlyn. She does hit a pretty significant left to right shot. That was a little bit over the top. wasn’t happy with that one. Didn’t quite turn through it. She knew it. Okay, the fun has begun. Let’s get it. And we’ll be here to follow along. Damon, back to you for now. So, I I’m not sure. Is Caitlyn playing good, bro? I don’t I don’t think she’s playing good today. Who is MTV? MTV22. Shout out to you, bro. I appreciate you. Also, it’s school for kids. What’ you say? Also, school for kids. Well, she’s come back in basketball, you know. Uh, so there is some stuff going on. So, typically during the commercial breaks, I bring you guys some other coverage. And uh that’s what we fa do right now because there’s a lot of stuff going on right now. I think they show Kaylin Clark shoes if I’m not mistaken if I could find it. So the Indiana Fever showed this crowd that was following Kaitlin and this is kind of what I want to pull up here while while we’re on commercial break is this right here. So, this is the crowd. I don’t think it’s that big. I don’t think it’s big like it was last year. Last year crowd was just way bigger than this. Which, like, don’t get me wrong, like it’s a lot of people. Smash the like button, y’all. So, we got they uploaded this too on uh let’s see Testing one, two, three. So, somebody had posted Kayla Clark golf shoes if I could find it. Find it. We’re going to clock off our seats real quick. We just sent the aerial view, bro. We just sent the over top view. It’s not that many people compared to last year, bro. We just sent it. Hey, Wendy. How you doing, Wendy? Hey, Wendy. I see you. Yeah. And so we haven’t. So they showed the the aerial coverage of the event. Okay, guys. And it’s back on. Let’s head back over. Head back over. And they’re back. They’re back on. It’s back on, guys. back go Lexi Hall. They said it’s cold. almost. But it’s so fun. It’s It’s cool to see how many people she brings together to another sport. Um and it’s fun to hang out with her. She’s super cool. We saw each other actually last week at an outing. Um and yeah, I mean it’s nice to be alongside Grace. I mean even her teammates super fun. So um it’s been a blast so far. We’re going to we’re going to walk and talk. Is that all right? As we head up to the green, um I’ve been noticing a lot of young women, girls in the gallery here that you you don’t see as many at a regular tournament. How important is that? And what does that mean for uh not only the LPJ, but for women’s sports going forward? I mean, to see that, that’s probably the best part of being out here, right? inspiring the next generation, seeing those girls look up to us and saying like they want to be in this exact spot in the next couple years because we were those girls, right? So, I think it’s very important for everyone to have role models. I had amazing role models. So, it’s it’s really cool to see and yeah, I just I hope they love the game of golf as much as you know I do. Um, what do you learn from Caitlyn Clark? Obviously, you said you’re at that outing. you have a chance to chat away from maybe the the cameras and the fans. What do you Hey guys, share the live, like the video. She’s just, you know, she enjoys everything that she does. Um, you know, it’s sometimes with there’s so many things that you can juggle, right? There’s so many things that we kind of have to do and for her to be so laidback and relax and have fun and just chitchat with everyone is is cool to see. Now, I understand you’ve got some some new shoes that you’ve developed. Is this is this going to be a gift for Caitlyn? Yeah, so I gifted her some shoes before the round, so hopefully she uses them. She did say or she did ask me if they’re going to make her golf better and I was like guaranteed. Did you sign them? Did you sign them? No, I didn’t. I hope she uses them. But I gave her a little gift bag of this little PE collection, which has been super fun to make. So, um, I’m very grateful. And if you told me this, I don’t know, 10 years ago when I was looking in the crowd that I would have my own shoe and being here playing in front of everyone and inspiring the next generation, I would tell you you’re crazy. So, it’s been a lot of fun. Well, it’s fantastic to talk to you and I know you’re you’re really enjoying uh this atmosphere and uh got a couple more holes to play. So, we’ll watch you do that. Thanks. Thanks, Tom, guys. Nelly, thank you. And Caitlyn getting a look at just how tough these greens are. Caitlin, this won’t make you feel any better, but we see this even from LPGA pros. They struggle on these greens. These are some of the toughest of the year. Mentioned it earlier because of that Bermuda grass, especially chipping from the runoffs. Typically, you’re chipping into the grain makes it very difficult to get solid contact. See, a lot of players elect to use a putter from positions like this. That isn’t a walk in the park either. At the golf course, as usual, in perfect condition here at Pelican Golf Club. Those things that give the other players fits is one of the reasons why we’ve seen Nelly in contention. Yeah. week in week out here at this golf course almost every year. Here we go. What? Uhoh. Little short on the first one, a little aggressive on the second. Yeah, it’s good. Kaylin, you good. and Sophie said they would be more cheerleaders than caddies. But we talked about the one name wonders with Caitlyn and Nelly. Here’s another tournament host. She’s playing with Rachel Hec was just honored by Anukica. Okay. Why you say that, bro? Why you say that, bro? Why you Why you do Sophie them like don’t do Sophie a legend like that? Why you say that about them, bro? They doing good. Everybody doing good. Smash the like button, man. Smash the like button. Damn, dog. 300 people in here for birdie. By the way, those shoes um that that Tom was talking about with Nelly, that was really exciting for Nelly. She said she worked with Nike for over a year on those shoes, and we’ll maybe see these throughout the week. But, uh Caitlyn still got her shoes that she brought to the course, but she’ll now have the Nellies. There we go. They’ve got little charms on them, a tennis racket, uh Leo for her birthday in July. and and she said working with people who do this for a living, the very best at what they do. And here’s Nelly, of course, one of the very best to have ever done it, the LPGA. She loved the whole process. And when she opened it up, she said, “I was blown away.” It’s a cool thing for somebody like Nelly. I mean, first of all, it shows her stature in the world of sports and and what a a prominent figure she is, of course, at women’s golf, but across the spectrum of women’s sports and sports in general. to have your own shoe with Nike. Not many athletes get that opportunity to be in those meetings and and and build something quite like that. So, it h it’s an honor, but also just really neat to see her personality come out. Uh like you mentioned with the charms that are personal to her and uh and fun to have and give it to one of the greatest athletes in Caitlyn Clark, the PE they call it, the player exclusive. And that’s going to be released next week. So, you can Get your pair starting next Thursday. This is the par three ninth. See if you can see. There you go. Kind of got the double swoosh there overlaid. Family first, she said. Tennis racket, of course, for her family. [Music] Good job, Kaitlyn. Got her attention. There’s a little room over there. I don’t know if it held up or not. There’s left to right that flag on 18 grand stand. You can see Yes, I do. Yeah, I think it’s a 37 shot. You just hit it. Great work there. pretty interesting having hearing Nelly talk a little bit about her injuries that she has struggled with. She mentioned a neck injury there in that interview with Tom. So, hasn’t played in a while, but hopefully healthy this week. Not in about uh month and a half. All right, more from Bel Air later. For now, back to Damon. All right, Grant. Caitlyn Clark looking to heat up at the Pelican. And stay with us, folks. Special guest coming up on the other side of the break. Kate Scott, USA Network lead playbyplay voice for our upcoming W. Smash that like button, y’all. Share the live, man. Share the live, dog. Come on, man. We should have way more people in here, bro. Share the live. Show your boy some love, bro. Damn, dog. So what we fa to do is typically when it goes on commercial break we’ll look see what the street saying speaking about Kayn you guys can see here as we are on commercial break we’ll come back with some more live coverage shortly I don’t think anybody want to watch the damn commercials smash that like button man what y’all saying in the chat Nelly has the most beautiful swing I swear hair. What y’all saying, man? What’s What’s happening on X? It’s Kayla Cart talking to watch you of our blue Kobe. Yeah. Smash that like button, guys. And Caitlyn Clark, describe this atmosphere. It’s crazy. I mean, that first tea um was something out of a book almost, but it’s so fun. It’s It’s cool to see how many people she brings together to another sport. Um, and it’s fun to hang out with her. She’s super cool and we saw each other actually last week at an outing. Um, and yeah, I mean it’s nice to be alongside Grace. My boys are very Guys, smash the like button, man. Can we get to 300 likes? Let’s get this live to 300 likes. I like to give away some money today. Let’s get the live to 300 likes, bro. 300 likes. Can we get there? Can we please of What makes a star, Kate? Caitlyn Clark is a star in your mind. Why? Oh, she has the it. And thank you all for having me this morning. It’s so fun seeing Caitlyn playing a sport again after injury took her away from the W this year. But you guys know there’s certain players in every single sport that just have it. They have the skill in that sport, but then they also have a little extra janiqua. They know how to relate to the audience. Um, and and they just take off because of that. And Caitlyn has been that person for the past handful of years in women’s basketball. First at Iowa in college and now in the WNBA and then everywhere she goes as we’re seeing on the course this morning, right? we saw last year. Fans follow because she just has that it factor that people want to be around. They want to try to soak up themselves. Yeah. You can’t you either have it or you don’t. Kate, I mean Damon just read out your resume. You have broken new ground as a pioneering playbyplay voice across the NBA soccer and now of course the lead for the WNBA coverage on USA Network. You’ve had a front row seat to this history and this surge in women’s sport. How would you describe the movement that women’s sport is experiencing right now? And how can we capitalize on that? Yeah, it’s so fun, Anna. I mean, I I broadcast now, but a long time ago, I played sports myself and never in a million years could have imagined women’s sport in general being where we are right now. Um, and I think the W has shown the other leagues, whether it’s the LPGA or women’s soccer, that the best way to do this and to grow your league, is to allow all your players who are from all over the country, all over the world, to truly just be themselves, right? Because that is how you bring in more fans. If you don’t just try to be one type of player fitting into one little box because our fans are from all over the country and all over the world. Um, so I think really allowing players I love that we were just talking about Nell Nelly, right? And she’s got this new signature shoe that is really her. You see those great leopard pants that she’s wearing and fans are going to be attracted to that. Maybe that don’t even know the sport of golf, but wow, I really like her style. And we saw that in the little sizzle reel from the W players coming in. Look at all the different things they’re wearing before they even get to the courts and then I may relate to them differently when they’re actually playing the sports. So, so I think really just leaning into the athletes being themselves on and off the court and the course um will allow the leagues to bring in more fans from again all over the place that see themselves in different players for different reasons. That’s an interesting question in all of this, Kate, on what the LPGA could potentially learn from the WNBA because I think there’s an assumption that something like this should be used to bring in new fans where you could make an argument that it’s actually more realistic to say it’s converting PGA Tour fans into LPGA fans, people who already have an existing interest in the sport. Is that your experience in the WNBA and how that league has grown is by actually targeting people who already have an interest in the sport? Uh it’s it’s a little bit o of all of it. Amen. I think that’s a really good question. Um and I think that this crossover that we’re seeing today and we saw last year uh is a great example of it. Right. Obviously, there’s golf fans who were there today, but there’s also some Caitlyn Clark fans who were not sure if they were golf fans before they came to the course today, but they thought, I’m gonna go out here and then seeing Nelly play and play so well, Anukica and everybody else who’s out there, maybe they’re going to become golf fans now. So, I think that that is one of the things that that the W has done so well recently. Maybe they were basketball fans, maybe they were sport fans, but also maybe they just heard about this superstar in Caitlyn Clark. This kind of cultural phenomenon. I think the great golf comparison is Tiger Woods all those years ago, right? He brought he brought people who maybe weren’t even a fan of sport, let alone golf, but all of a sudden you were hearing this name over and over and over again, and you thought, well, that’s the cool thing, and I want to be a part of this cool new trend in the world. Um, and that that is kind of what Caitlyn has done recently, bringing in again not just basketball fans and maybe not even fans of sport. I have friends and and parents who have not cared a thing about anything I’ve done, but they heard in the last few months, you’re all of a sudden going to be covering this Caitlyn Clark woman who I know is good at something. Tell me more. Uh, so it’s been fascinating, Aman, that it is not just sports fans or not even just basketball fans, just people interested in being a part of the recent trend in culture. Speaking of Caitlyn Clark, a little business, Kate, the WNBA, and the players association, of course, in the midst of negotiating this collective bargaining agreement for 2026. How confident are you that something will get done and soon? Yeah, damn it. I’m very confident. And look, I think all of us know in any sort of business, I just went through contract negotiations, right? They’re never pretty. Uh we often say things about each other that we don’t mean in an effort to get our way. Um but that’s all a part of the process. And uh I know the players in the WNBA who are a part of this. I know the folks on the other side for the for the league. Everybody wants to get something done that makes people as happy as possible on on both sides. Right. We know you’re never 100% happy after the end of negotiations, but but that pushes this league forward and continues to build on this incredible momentum that they have built up the last few years. So, nobody wants to see a work stoppage, and I’m very confident that everybody involved sees that, knows that, and is going to get something done. Kate, you’re obviously so passionate about the work that you do across all sport, but I know you are also a bit of a passionate secret golfer, maybe not so secret. You were recently just over in Ireland calling the Viking Steelers game in Dublin. You got a chance to play. I know you’re a big fan of Redm. Mana, you’re a huge Ryder Cup fan. Tell us a little about your journey in the game. Oh, that was uh wonderful, Anna. And uh my game is awful and that’s why I broadcast like a lot of us. Um but I but I do love playing and I’m hoping to play more and more over the next little while. But I’m so glad you brought up Dublin because the game that I called was at the end of September. It was right when the writer cup was happening and it was so fun, right? Because we’re obviously uh five, six, seven hours ahead. That was out of the cliffs of Moore which were gosh as breathtaking as I could have imagined. Had to stop by the Guinness Factory. I’m a beer girl and that was before the game at Croak Park that historic grounds which has only hosted a very few American football games over the years. We know it hosts Irish sports. But but after the game that we called because the Ryder Cup was going on back in New York, we just went to a pub and were enjoying it with all the Irish locals and that’s when I found out, oh, the Ryder Cup in 2027 is actually going to be back here in Ireland. So, I’m just putting my name in the hat now. You guys, I’m sure that one of you would prefer to go, but if you need a man or woman on the streets to, you know, kind of get the vibes of things, I didn’t get enough time in there. You can I didn’t get enough time. You have a beautiful country, sir, and I cannot wait to go back. But I’m glad you didn’t go over there for the weather, okay? Because that’s why I live in this. Guys, smash that like button. Share the video. Share the video. How many likes is we at? How many likes are we at, bro? I want to get us to 300 likes, bro. We should be over 300 likes. Let’s see how many likes we at. Come on y’all. Let’s get to 300 likes, man. Share the live. Share it live, man. Let’s see what’s popping on the streets real quick, man. I think they might be on like some type of break or something, man. Let’s see here. Crazy, man. Packer Packers. Crazy, man. Packer fan. Packers. What are you a Chiefs fan? I’m a huge Chiefs. Oh, yeah. Wait, I actually did. You were on the podcast. Yeah, I’m a big Chief from Kansas City, so I’m not Chiefs. Oh, she likes Chiefs. Oh, that I can’t wait to ask her about it next. They they they talking about football. What’s this? Week in week out. Uh, somebody screen recording. This is a cool photo here. Still don’t have no golf yet. Back on, guys. Bring it back. I’ll bring the covers back. ability right now and I’m hoping that we continue to build off of I hope we continue to have more crossover events like this with Nelly and other golf on Golf Channel and this is on the golf network because she is really growing not just women’s basketball but women’s sports she has that ability and power right now well the Las Vegas aces have won three the last four. Nobody want to hear about the elimination in the semifinals last year elimination game that went to overtime. So, what’s the top story line in your mind for the WNBA in 2026? Oh, David, you hit it. I mean, that’s that’s the comparison. The Las Vegas Aces, uh, led by Asia Wilson, who was there, Michael Jordan, they are the Chicago Bulls with Michael. They are the Lakers with Kobe. They’re they’re the Warriors Curry. There’s their Hammond who coached in the M. We are here lying to the people. They are not Michael Jordan and uh the Bulls. They are not Kobe and the Lakers. They be [ __ ] cheating. The referees be cheating. They be don’t get on here lying to the people. Get on here lying about that [ __ ] You know they be cheating last year. And that kind of perks people up to, okay, this isn’t just Caitlyn and friends. No, this is a really good basketball team. So, I think a lot of us are hoping maybe next year we might get an Aces Indiana Fever final, but there are so many other great teams. The New York Liberty led by Sabrina UNESCO who won last year and uh it was New York’s first title in any sport in a long time. So, they were throwing shade at the Knicks and the Giants and the Jets. It was a lot of fun. But, but again, it is the rising tide that’s lifting all boats. Aman, as you said, there’s so much talent right now. I mean, it is a different sport from when I played not too long ago. They’re so fast. They’re so athletic and they’re leaning into their authenticity and being themselves, which is just bringing in more and more fans because everybody has somebody they can watch. Appreciate you, Mary. Well, Kate, we wish you a wonderful season, a wonderful WNBA season. Look forward to watching you on USA. And anytime you want to come here and talk golf, you are welcome anytime. Thank you so much. You guys make that happen. and I will bring and maybe that’ll be my last time on the golf channel, but we’ll have a good time. We’ll make it happen. There she is. She does it all. Um I’m sacrificing covering my other channel to do this for you guys. And uh thank you guys so much for just watching it here with me, man. This is a bunch of fun being on camera watching this live with y’all. It’s never, you know what I’m saying? I wish I had some moderators in here, but uh I don’t. I’m going to be taking some wrenches away. certain people just should not be moderators on the channel. And uh I’m going to be making new moderators today because uh we definitely need new moderators here on the channel. So let me make sure I take all my wrenches away. Let me see here. Give me a quick second, guys. There will be no 2026. Yes, it will. Bro, they’re not going to allow this thing to be a lockout, man. I keep telling y’all that. Let me see here. I would have been at this, but somebody told me not to go cuz it wasn’t going to be that good. I should have went. Dylan Gabriel’s better than Shador. Dude, that’s a good way to get blocked. See you. And making the turn in this Wednesday proam, here is Caitlyn at the 10th. Kayla’s back. Yeah, looks like she was able to put into work a little bit of what Jamie was telling her. Release that right hand a touch through the ball. She’s an athlete. She’s a competitor. That’s it. I mean, anybody who gets to the top of their sport as she has is a real true competitor and she wants to perform well. I love that reaction. I’m sure Jamie’s smiling. Nelly’s coach She’s going to play this nine with Lauren Win, part of that national championship team at Northwestern back earlier this season. Lauren getting a sponsor invite to play this week. Her first LPGA event. Smash the like button, guys. Smash the like button. Some celebrity caddies out there with Caitlyn. How many likes car driver is guys? It’s a little quieter for him, too. Thanks. [Applause] [Music] He’s got the Charlie Hole recoil going. I have to say that is just not easy to do. Ice cold. Stand on the tea. He talked about being nervous there. No pressure, but that was really good. That was impressive. Oh gosh. They know it’s tough to follow that. And uh here’s another Lexi. Thompson’s here as well. Lexi play. Thank you. Look at right down the middle. [Applause] Trash talking on the tea. I mean, would you expect anything else? You need a ball. Go get it. You need a ball. I would back up. And I’m not kidding. The last time I did this, it’s getting real. Oh my god. To hit the ball, bro. [Music] Cuttingham. [Applause] [Music] Oh, is that bad? That was a good looking practice swing right there. Oh no. Oh no. You got it. You got it. Happy Gilmore. Oh wow. Sophie, good job. See, Sophie, good job. Okay. I like it. I like it. Yeah. Let’s do it. Yeah. Handing it up for the camera and for Sophie. I’m so sorry. Here, let me give you the ball. I’m so sorry. We are so like a real professional. That’s what you do. They actually give the glove, not the ball. They usually have to continue to play with the golf ball. But all the way down. She doesn’t have to keep playing. [Music] She hit. I think Sophie hit the guy. Sophie about hit the guy, bro. It was worth it. Thank you so much. One more celebrity t-shot for Scurry. That’s what she does when she’s a goalender. Want to make contact with the ball. All right, here we go. fans might scurry. Watch out here. [Applause] Okay. Nice tempo. Maybe it needs a little work on the grip. It’s okay. See, you know, grip is the only thing holding on to the golf club. So, it’s the best place to start for somebody who doesn’t play a lot of golf. Got the basketball court down there. I down we go again to Tom Abbott. Yeah. here with Caitlyn Clark who absolutely ripped one down there at number 10. But I’ve got to ask you first about your uh your teammates’s performance there. Yeah, I’m honestly I’m proud of them. That’s nerve-wracking getting up in front of a bunch of people and having to hit a golf club. Obviously, we’re basketball players, so we’re not very good at this, but they’re they make this event fun, so it’s fun to have them out here. And what has it been like for you today? Second time here at Pelican. Yeah, I think was warming up the first nine holes, but um it’s always cool to be out here and I they put on a great event and Gamebridge does a great job and it was fun to play with Nelly and now playing with Lauren. So um anytime you get to be out in the sun and in Florida and in front of really cool fans, it’s it makes for a great day. I know there’s a lot going on in the WNBA with the collective bargaining agreement negotiations that are going on, but I know you want to stick to golf. So let’s talk about your golf and your golf journey. Where did it start and how is it progressing? Yeah, I actually grew up playing a little bit. I remember for one of my birthdays I got this cute little set of pink golf clubs. They obviously weren’t very nice or anything and then uh kind of stopped playing and then during co I picked it back up in college. I had quite a few guy managers that played and some of my teammates so um we would make it competitive. None of us were really that good but it was really fun for us to play with each other in the summers or whenever we had some free time. I know it’s been a tough year in terms of injury for you. Does that mean you’ve played a little bit more golf this year? Unfortunately, it means I’ve played less. Um, just cuz I haven’t been able to get out there with some of the injuries that I was dealing with, but now feeling back to 100%. So, been trying to take advantage of the fall weather in Indianapolis before, you know, it gets too cold and um, obviously being down here in Florida, the weather makes it pretty easy to play some golf, but getting in as much as I can. Obviously, I stay pretty busy, so I don’t get to play as much as I would like, but when I do, it’s it’s always really fun. You just played nine holes with Nelly as we’ve seen. What does it mean for for women’s sports for two of the biggest stars to come together in this sort of environment? How important? Come on, guys. Let’s get the 400 likes on a video. 400 likes, shirt alive, shirt alive, shirt alive. Big advocate of that and supporting women’s sports and always been a big fan whether it’s golf or soccer or volleyball, whatever it is. Um, so it’s really fun to just see her do her craft up close and how good she is and you know, getting to play with her last year and I played a few other rounds with her. So, um, she just makes the game of golf look really easy. So, you’re almost like, how? But, um, you know, she’s great and, you know, I’m rooting for her to win this big. Well, we’ll see if she can. She has a fantastic record here. So, we’ll see she if she uh she gets the job done. Um, thoughts on your golf swing. You’ve been working a little bit with Jamie Mulligan, I saw back there. What are you struggling with? Well, I’m I’m slicing it off the tea. Um, but that was my honestly probably my best drive of the day, so I’m happy with it. Just need to slow down. I swing so fast and so hard. That’s my problem. I always want to kill the ball. But honestly, like I’ve hit some good iron shots and had some good putts. I need like a long putt to go in so the crowd can go crazy. I think they’re waiting for that. I agree. We need to get some energy in this crowd. No pressure. I I’ll try to deliver. I’ll do my best. Let’s see you not get in here close and make the put. Let’s make a verdict. Thank you, guys. Kaitlin, thanks. Mike, I am super having fun, too. This was her first T-shot after Jamie gave her that tip at eight for with the driver because the ninth was a three. She loved it. Yeah. All right. She’s a quick learner. What a shock. Damon, it’s been fun watching Caitlyn. Will keep on. Yeah, she’s a quick learner indeed. Grant, she crossed the top of the hour on this Wednesday. Special golf today. Damon Hack, Anna Jackson, Aean Lynch Walk of the best players in sports compete in an LPGA program. I guess my question is how replicable is this watching Caitlyn Clark? Can the LPGA take a page from today and replicate this down the road? We get to 400 li Damon Hack. I mean, let’s be honest. I think the hundreds of people who have turned up today are there to see Caitlyn Clark. They’re not there to go to an LPGA pro. But the point is is that the people are there and they are waiting to get to a golf course and see some of their heroes. Nelly Cord that this game has got Caitlyn Clark. But again, basketball is a much more transcendent sport. It’s an explosive sport. You can see Caitlyn Clark there out there on the golf course right now waiting to give the crowds that moment that she is able to give the crowds a courtside at a basketball game. But you have to look at, I think, the visibility of women’s sport and how much it’s grown in the last five years. It’s growing four to five times faster than men’s gout to West Virginia. West Virginia. Guys, let’s get the 500 likes. Smash the like button, man. Share the love. We on fire. Let’s get the 500 likes on the live, man. Big question right now. Uh, but it is there. And we are sort of on the edge of it. It’s just how you do it. And I think it’s easy to overlook the fact that the LPGA does actually have something of a head start over where the WNBA was a few years ago. I I I’ve been reading Christine Brennan’s new autobiography of Caitlyn Clark and there’s a fascinating story in there about Lin Dunn who’s one of the pioneering figures in the women’s basketball when she became the coach in Seattle 1999 just to get attention for for the women’s basketball league. She did a dribbling exhibition through Seattle 5 and a half miles she dribbled a basketball looking for attention. She was the woman who drafted Caitlyn Clark 22 years later. So, she’s seen what the transformation this game looks like. The the LPGA isn’t starting from where the WNBA started was in terms of its prominence and fan base just a few years ago. So, there there’s always hope. I do think the LPGA has a lot of challenges that it needs to face, but that’s a strategic conversation for them and it involves the schedule. It involves the star power and the media presence and the general resources that the league has. There are a lot of considerations go into that, but a Caitlyn Clark doesn’t come along very often. Yeah. And how you harness that, can you? It’s to Anna’s point, it’s it really is a much broader sport in basketball. And they had the NCAA’s which really made a superstar out of Caitlyn Clark a few years ago. The LPGA, it’s a slower sport. It’s a, you know, there’s a time difference issue. They just come back from Asia. So there are a lot of ingrained challenges that the LPGA tour has that the WNBA doesn’t have, but there are lessons to be learned in terms of how you can actually turn opportunism into growth. Yeah. You hope that even on a day that’s a a one-off that perhaps there are some things that the LPGA can do going forward with the WNBA. So with more on what the players are saying about Caitlyn Clark, let’s welcome in Amy Rogers on this Wednesday from Pelican Golf Club. Amy, hey there Damon. Well, on the heels of the conversation you just had, there has been so much discussion over these last few years about the Caitlyn Clark effect and how the LPGA can go about trying to harness that same sort of surge that the WA WNBA has enjoyed since Clark burst onto the scene. So, in one way the LPGA is trying to do that is by bringing Clark herself out here. And I can tell you this morning that the Clark effect was very strong on the first tea. Fans were lining uh that entire first uh tea box this morning uh at 8:30 this morning to watch Clark T off alongside Nelly Corda. Fans were packed in there about 500 likes. There were more fans out there this morning than I have seen in major championships out here on the LPGA. I can tell you Clark received the largest ovation. Uh lots of cheering from the fans that were out here. And guys, they are decked out. I saw them wearing jerseys from Iowa, from Indiana, t-shirts, hoodies, custom gear. I even saw a matching father and daughter duo. The dad telling me yes, he allowed his daughter to skip school today to be able to come out and watch Caitlyn Clark. Now, Hall of Famer and tournament host Anukica Saen Sam was out there on the first te soaking in the whole experience there as well. And she said earlier this week that even she has been left in awe since first meeting Caitlyn Clark. She’s a little busy playing another sport. I don’t know how much time she has to work on her game. I know it’s been maybe not the season in the end that she wanted, but um you know I a fan started out as a fan from you know outside the ropes or outside the court and then to get a chance to meet her here. Um you know she she left a very good impression I think on a lot of people and especially me I was like you know she’s really cool. She’s very down to earth and wow, she loves this game and and to see what she brought to this tournament, you know, the people that came here. Um it was terrific. So, I’m I’m just glad she’s coming back and you know, she really enjoys the game and I think she has a lot to add to it. So, I’m I’m glad she’s going to be here and um you know, another fan of of another female athletes are doing a lot for the sport. So, thank you, Caitlyn. I know. I really enjoy watching her out on the court. She’s an amazing athlete and seems like a great person, too. So, it’s uh it’s really cool that she wants to be out here with us. It’s amazing. And, you know, she came out last year and you saw the crowds that followed her. Um the crowds that came out and obviously watched Nelly’s’s group that day and uh that prom group. So, I mean, I I just think the exposure is huge for women’s golf. It’s amazing that she’s into women’s golf and wants to come out here and and put a spotlight on us and on this event and on this tour. So, I think it’s just a great day for women’s sports overall in general. I think it’s incredible. Uh it brings more exposure to our game as well. And I remember last year the amount of fans that came out to watch her was truly inspiring and I think it bring also brings people to understand that like golf is really hard and cuz she talked about it too. So just exciting for her to be here and I think she’s playing with maybe Nelly again next this year. I don’t know. But uh I’m I think her and Nelly had a great time and yeah just super cool. Well, you heard it there. Greatness recognizes greatness and the players I spoke to, you heard it there. They were genuinely excited to have Clark here on property. Now, the tournament’s decision to bring Clark here, to be a part of this tournament again this year, is rooted in the effort to try to bring more attention, more eyeballs, and more fans to the LPGA. Last year, Rory secured his third straight race Dubai title, winning this event by a couple of shots over Rasmus Toyar. And Rory, of course, the current leader in the race Dubai rankings. If he wins for the fourth year in a row, it would be his. Can we get to 600 likes? I want to see 600 likes. We should have been at 600 likes. Let’s get to 600 likes in 2025 with more. Nick Zardy and Wayne Riley are on the scene in Dubai. It’s Wednesday at the DP World Tour Championship. We are almost at the first round. This man will be stringing the fairways. Wayne Riley, we’re stood here in the desert. Another beautiful day. Sun’s in the sky, beaming down, bouncing off the sand. I can barely keep my eyes open, but we’ll all want to watch Wayne unfolds here. Before we get into the players, what could happen? You’ll be walking the course. tell us a bit about it. Oh, the golf course is so different to last week. It’s a I think it’s a better golf course. It’s more exposed than last week, even though last week was on the estry, but you know, it’s a golf course that you need to negotiate the bunkers. A lot of them are out there 300. If you’re not long enough, you’re always in the landing zone of those bunkers are anyway. And if you’re a long hitter like a Rory Mroy, this is Rory Maroy Country Club. He can vomit over the top of them and so can others. Let’s talk a little bit about the three guys who have a chance to win the race of the course. All of the players here, there’s 51, can win the tour championship, but they were also crowned the seasonl long race winner. Rory’s won the last three. It would be four in a row in total, one more than 70, one. However, got to keep Penge and Hatton at bay. Give us a little insight into you saw them last week, Marco Pen and Rory Mroy. How do they compare as golfers? Look, they’re very, very similar off the tea. They were neck and neck last week. One hole would be Rory, two yards in front, then vice versa. and that they are so very good. I think Marco Pence flattens the ball out a little better. That’s what Rory Maroy is trying to achieve right now. I think behind the scenes, a lot of things are going on with Rory Moyy’s swing. Very much tick- tock threequarters on the way back, 3/4ers of the way through for the new season. But obviously the way he finished last week, he can get things done. He’s so talented, finishing way up there with that unbelievable round last day. But look, it’s going to be those two are going to fight it out. But I don’t think it’s a fair fight. I think uh Rory Maroy is too far in front and he owns this place. So it’s going to be very very difficult. I’d be mighty to s surprise as the world would be if Marco Pens Pens was to lift the race to Dubai here. It’s uh all Rory Maro as you would think. Looking at a positive note for Penge though, however, there is some slightly iffy news. He has to pull out the pram yesterday because of illness. So hopefully he’ll feel fit. They do say beware of the injured golfer after all. First or second is the only scenario that works for Pen to have a chance. And at second, he still needs a lot of help from Rory, not finishing really high up, which he usually does here. If he doesn’t win it, is it possible? Could Pens win or come second on this golf course with the challenge that it presents. Is it a possible thing that could happen? Yeah. No, absolutely. He’s won three times this year. Yeah. And the guy is this guy’s over on the PGA tour. Uh you you’re going to look forward to seeing this guy next year. This guy’s the real real deal. He’s uh he’s he’s going to be a welcome addition. Like he’s been on the DP World Tour. He’ll continue to play here and over there. So, it’s going to be a mighty fine event. Yes, he can win here and finish second. Yes. Yes, certainly can. But Rory’s not going to finish bad either, is he? Hatton and Penge are chasing, but Rory on pole here going down the home straight in the desert. It’s going to be a crack. Look forward to bringing it to you as well. Back to you in the studio. Thank you, boys. Coverage begins tomorrow 2 a.m. Eastern time. Rory’s race for seven Harry Van Trophies. Rory making putts, Caitlyn Clark making putts. More from Caitlyn at the Anukica Proand next. [Music] This is golf. Nice shot, honey. And this is golf’s supertore. Oh, yeah. Are you living with dry age? All right, Joe. I’m back. So, you could be on the road to How many likes we at? Let’s see. Somebody said, “I asked you a joke.” What did Hold on. What did he say? That’s you a joke. Let me see here. I got to cut my laptop off. Somebody said, “Ask you a joke. What did the egg say to the bowling to the boiling water?” I don’t know if you if I get hurt. I just get laid this morning. I don’t know if that’s a good joke. I don’t know. Smash the like button, man. How we doing, y’all? How the stream doing? Let’s see here. I want I want this stream to have like thousand something likes, man. It should cuz y’all know me, man. Like, I know I don’t never go live, bro. I’m not a live channel. I really don’t like going live because it messes up my day. I do a lot of stuff outside of YouTube when it come to business and stuff like that. So, like when I go live, it’s it’s a thing. You know what I’m saying? So, definitely smash that like button, man, because I I normally don’t ever go live, man. I’ll give you guys a thousand videos if I could. Um, somebody said, “Is Caitlin playing tomorrow?” I don’t know. I know last year she didn’t play backtoback days like that. Um, but I could be wrong. I could very much be wrong, bro. What up with you, Ethan? I see you down there, dog. I see you down there, bro. I try to have the best coverage, Michaela. I try. You know what I’m saying? I just try to be transparent and keep it real. But like, I be want people to hit the like button and share our live because I don’t go live all the time. Let’s get to 700 likes. Yeah. I don’t I don’t go live all the time. And um when I do, I just want y’all to support it, bro. Somebody said, “I never learned how to spell.” You know, and that’s all I ask. You know what I’m saying? It’s y’all to hit the like button, man. Cost you nothing. All right. What they saying about the W real quick. I just I just want to see a music. [Music] Yeah. That’s on the WNBA. WNBA coming to USA Network in May of 2026. Part of an exciting portfolio for USA Sports including NASCAR PGH Premier League WWE LPGA Tour A. You getting cooked, bro. Hey, Tyrant, you getting cooked with that spell check, bro. I mean, you might as well just cut the auto spell check off at this boy, bro. I mean, you g you gonna have to cut it off, bro, because you because you’re you’re getting cooked. Somebody said the re the resale of Caitlyn Clark Kobe’s is already $400 already. There it is already. They just came out. Hold on. Caitlyn Clark, Sophie Cunningham, and Lexi Carl Clark’s teammates on the Indiana Fever. inside the ropes today as celebrity caddies during Caitlyn’s prom. And there’s been some funny stuff out there on social. Sophie Cunningham celebrated the news posting four and her teammate saying, “Yeah, clearly we have a lot to learn, Clark. It’s four, but f not fur.” So they’re all out there right now inside the ropes. So let’s send it down to Grant Boon and Morgan Press. Anna, thank you. They’re on the 11th green and we just saw Caitlyn being Caitlyn back there at the 10th. Morgan, she told Tom needs to make a putt as they were discussing. Rolls it in almost like one of those logo threes from long range. Buried it and had that reaction that we love to see. Yeah, that’s what you do, right? You call your shots. I mean, she Tom even called it earlier. Needed something to get the crowd fired up out there. That certainly did the trick. But it’s been so much fun to watch Caitlyn out here today. Really bringing so much attention to women’s golf. We’re all feeling 22. Fever jerseys. Got the Iowa Hawkeye jerseys. Her her number 22 at Iowa. Retired. No one will ever wear it again. Wait. So you guys are hitting her, right? Headed off the tea. Part three. So, you don’t want the Lambo? Hey, were you impressing there? I was, to be honest. Watch your back. Watch your back. And as we’ve been saying, if you’re a fan of Caitlyn Clark and that’s why you’re watching this morning, welcome. If you’re not familiar with the LPGA tour, stick around. You’re going to see the very best in the world. Guys, let’s get to 700 likes. 700 likes on the live. Smash that like button. women’s sports organization in history 75 years strong. Kirk, she’s walking right at you, Kirk. Yeah, it’s wonderful to see an athlete like look at the Lamborghini years. They got the Lamborghini on the field for Kayn Clark. They got the Lambo about the game of golf, how it helps her with her mental toughness on the basketball courts. She’s like, when I’m on the court, I’ve got teammates to back me up. In golf, I’m out there all by myself. And I hit a bad shot. I’ve got to refocus and really just try and dial it in for the next one. And I just love how much fun you can see how much fun she’s having uh playing out there today. Even right there, you see how she’s drawn to the hardwood just kind of naturally. Yeah, that’s cute. They’re her Indiana fever teammates and Lexi. Like um Wheel of Fortune the car models. [Music] Little little hole in one. could drive away with that. No, that’s correct. Yes, that Lamborghini is up for Grams and the ProAm as well. Winner Lammo today, bro. All right, focus in here. When it comes to intimidating shots, this is one of the most on this golf course. Wow, that was nice. Guys, we just hit we just hit 700 likes. Let’s get to 800 likes. No, Kayla went in the water. It was online. Yeah, it was. While we have a moment, back down to Tom. Yeah. We’re here with Lexi Hull and Sophie Cunningham, Caitlyn’s teammates. They were just admiring the car here that Caitlyn wasn’t able to win with a hole in one. I got to ask you first about your t-shirts there at 10. How much golf you’ve played and how happy you were with your performance. Start off not happy with the performance. Um I play a little bit. My fiance’s really big into golf, so um it’s a fun thing to do together, but um definitely wish we could do it again. I feel like uh we didn’t perform our best, but it was super fun. Yeah. You should have had you hit a t-shirt here because you could win that car. Well, yeah. Duh. Sophie, how about yourself? Well, I think Happy Gilmore would be really proud of me. Um, so I’m feeling pretty good about my shot to be honest, but I feel like the last time I did hit a golf ball, I killed a squirrel. So, I just don’t know if this is my scene, but I would like to win that car behind us. The guy who who may have been hit by a golf ball, he’s it’s just totally fine. He’s totally fine. Um, let’s talk about today and how important it is to be out here with other athletes from from from golf. I mean, being with the number one, former world number one Nelly Cer and what you’ve learned and what it’s like to be out here. I mean, it’s so fun. It’s fun to see, you know, other athletes in their craft getting ready for a big weekend. Um, Nelly’s is amazing. Lauren’s amazing. So, just really cool to be see them in their element. Yeah, I think getting to know Nelly a little bit outside of golf because I know normally she’s serious and has to be in the zone, but super awesome girl. We’re going to be rooting her on tomorrow and we’re just now meeting Lauren and she’s a phenomenal golfer. But like Lexi said, just seeing them in their craft, uh, performing at a high level, um, it’s different from what we do, but they’re the ultimate competitor, so it’s been pretty fun. How about your caddy today? I thought you were actually going to be carrying the bag. So did we. So did we. We’ve just instead been holding phones and water bottles. It’s pretty much our role. The snack bag a little bit, which is good. So we’re we’re doing just fine. We’re killing it. Tell us about Caitlyn. You get to see her in the locker room. You obviously get to see her perform on the court. What is she like and what what does she do to bring your games and elevate your games? I think she’s just a great person. I think you see it out here today. She’s having fun, you know, um getting to know the players she’s playing with, not taking it too serious, but also like really focused at what she does. So, it’s just cool to see her in this environment and also see her on the court as well. Yeah. And I think she just elevates everyone who’s around her. Um she’s a phenomenal player, a generational player, and I think everyone sees that. We missed her out on the court this year, but uh you know, depending on the CBA and what’s going on, hopefully we’re all together again. But I think the thing about Caitlyn, she hit is she’s just a great person. She’s fun. She’s silly. Um kind of still just a kid. And so a lot of people see her in a serious light, but we kind of get to see the goofy side of her. She’s been inspirational for a lot of people. A lot of people come out to watch today. I really want to see you hit some more shots. Let’s let’s let’s see if we can make that happen. Grant Morgan, hit some more people. I don’t know. This would have been a good hole to do it. I think this car looks really nice. And have them send those snacks over here to the booth, Tom, while they’re at it caddying for their teammate, Caitlyn. Been a lot of fun today. The fun continues from here in Belair, Florida. We throw it back to Damon. All right, Grant. Appreciate that. It’s fun watching Caitlyn Clark, but I got to say she’s under a bit of pressure getting swing tips on the fly from Jamie Mullgan, one of the best in the business, and trying to incorporate that with cameras running and Nelly Corda standing by. I mean, it’s got to be a tough spot. I know she’s a great athlete. I’m not worried about her big picture, but this is a tough spot for a player. It just it just reminds you that golf humanizes everybody. She’s a goddess on the basketball court, but when it comes to golf, probably if not the hardest sport in the world. It doesn’t matter how naturally athletic you are. Even the likes of Caitlyn Clark is going to be struggling a little bit out there. And thank goodness she’s got her teammates. The power of team sport. And this is a really tough day in the office for Tom Abbott, by the way. That interview, I’m sure, was a huge struggle for him. But it was uh it’s awesome just to see Kaitlyn. She’s so down to earth. And I think that’s why people also love her as well. She’s just such a powerful athlete, but she’s also just a normal young woman trying to get her way around a pro right now. Yeah. And what we saw from her earlier as well on one putt where she was asking for advice from several caddies behind her leaves it way short and she was exasperated. There’s still that professional pride in her even in a sport that that isn’t her own. But she hasn’t lost sight of the fun. It’s it’s just fun to see per someone who clearly has very high standards for their own athleticism get humbled by a game that does it to even the best in the world, the best players in the world. Guys, let’s get the Let’s get the live right. Let’s get the live to 800 likes, bro. 800 likes. Let’s get the live to 800 likes. Our goal is a thousand as of right now. We surpassed 1,000, then we gonna try to get to 1500. But for right now guys, if you have not done so, click the like button and share the live. Share the live. You got to you got to share the live for your boy. I’m I love the fact that that Sophie and Lexi were talking about chatting with Nelly Corda, knowing how business-like she is Thursday through Sunday, but getting to know her on a Wednesday. And maybe there are some things collaboratively they can do. I don’t know if it’s social media wise. You got Nelly Ca talking about her shoes. I mean hopefully this is you know the beginning of a beautiful friendship as they say in the movies. Yeah. I think the most powerful thing as women is women raising other women and that’s exactly what we’re seeing here. I know on the on the on the show yesterday you were talking a little bit about do you think the LPGA players will be put off a little bit that the biggest star this week in the game today is going to be Caitlyn Clark. Someone who doesn’t even play golf or no. Like you can hear it in the sound just how much they adore having her out here inside the ropes lifting their game. The LPGA and women’s golf will always be more niche than basketball. It just always will be. So to have someone come in from a different stratosphere and sprinkle some of that fairy dust on the LPGA this week is completely invaluable. And it’s really interesting to see someone who has their own individual brand take a moment to elevate the other players around her from her own league and and Caitlyn Clark understands the value of eyeballs and advocacy. When when she joined the WNBA, she signed a 4-year contract that was worth $338,000. Her rookie year salary was $76,000. The male equivalent in the NBA draft that year signed a four-year deal for $57 million with 12 and a half as a first year salary. So, she understands. All right, I want to shift the focus here to this. Want to kill the ball, but honestly, like I’ve hit some good iron shots and had some good putts. I need like a long putt to go in so the crowd can go crazy. I think they’re waiting for that. I agree. We need to get some energy in this crowd. Let’s pressure. I I’ll try to deliver. I’ll do my best. Let’s see you not get in here close and make the Let’s make a birdie. Thank you, guys. But that was my honestly probably my best drive of the day. So, I’m happy with it. Just need to slow down. I swing so fast and so hard. That’s my problem. I always want to kill the ball. But honestly, like I’ve hit some good iron shots. And teammates Caitlyn, Lexi, and Sophie. All three six feet or taller. Quite the crew at the Pelican. Once Mindy heard about Walmart’s Black Friday commercial. No, no, no, no. Let’s see. What’s this? Let’s go to the LPGA site. Let’s see some of these highlights from from Kaylin today. What is this? [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Let’s go. Smash that like button, guys. Let’s see what other highlights they got. So, this is on the LPGA. Uh, what is this? Oh, this is the full thing. [Music] He’s got the Charlie Hole recoil going. I have to say that is just not Thank you. Don’t break my driver now. Right down the middle. [Applause] Come on. [Applause] Oh, is that bad? That’s a good looking practice swing right there. Oh no. Oh no. Happy Gilmore. Look at this. [Laughter] He’s down. He’s faking it. Yeah, they’re hamming it up for the camera and for Sophie. Watch out. Here, let me give you the ball. I am so sorry. We are We are so Watch out here. [Applause] Okay. Nice tempo. [Music] He’s got the Charlie Hole recoil calling you. I have to say That is just not break now. Right down the middle. Yeah, [Applause] is that bad? [ __ ] That’s a good looking practice swing right there. Oh no. Oh no. You got it, girl. Happy Gilmore. Look at this. He’s faking it. Yeah, they’re hamming it up for the camera and for Sophie. Watch out. I’m so sorry. Here, let me give you the ball. I am so sorry. Prime Time. It’s the all new Optimum Golf Channel Games December 17th at 700 p.m. Eastern on Golf Channel in the USA. Golf Channel has announced the full team rosters for the upcoming Optum Golf Channel games. The new rapid fire golf competition featuring Roy Moy and Scotty Sheffler airing live in prime time on Golf Channel and USA Network on Wednesday, December 17th at Trump National Golf Club Jupiter in Florida. So team Rory will include the 2019 Open champion Shane Larry. You got twotime European Rder Cup winning captain, former world number one Luke Donald and DP World Tour winner in Haong Lee. Then over on team Sheffler, it is the 2011 PGA champion and this year’s Rder Cup captain Keegan Bradley. Five-time tour winner in Sam Burns and former world number one amateur and PGA Tour rising rookie Luke Clanton. So, are you going to be team Sheffller or team Rory? Well, when you compare their 2025 season, it’s been pretty impressive for both of them. Two majors for Scotty, of course, the PGA and the Open Championship. The one missing piece to the puzzle for Rory’s major resume, the green jacket, which still looks pretty good on him after six months already. And it’s world number one against world number two. So, if we’re going to keep this comparison rolling, boys, what do you think we’re going to see for 2026? Scotty, Rory, who’s having a better year? I think you’re going to see them both do the same thing that they’ve done in 2025. Rory Mroy talked about it in his press conference in Dubai yesterday. This idea of playing where he wants to go in the world, see new places, bring his daughter to introduce her to new cultures and actually have some fun. Whereas Scotty is more of a homeird. He he plays a predominantly PGA tour schedule. Scotty leads a delightfully uncluttered life. He’s never been involved in tour politics. The Golf Channel games is a rarest example of Scotty actually taking on any kind of extracurricular activity at all. And I mean he’s finished the last time he finished outside the top 10 anywhere was the players. That was in March. The last time he finished outside the top 20 was the BMW championship 15 months ago. I might be crazy, but I’m not betting against that. Tell you what, Scotty Sheffler has a better year. Oh, if Rory wants to learn new culture, he should come to my house at dinnertime. I mean, he will see some things. But we’ve seen some things from Scotty Sheffller. Seven wins in 2024, six PJ tour wins in 2025 while becoming a father, while being arrested, while messing with his putter. Scotty Sheffller is a machine. And while I said on golf today earlier this week that I expect Rory Mackoy to play beautiful unbburdened golf, I still think that Scotty shuffle is a more prolific PGA Tour winner. I think the Scotty train keeps on rolling. I think they both play wonderful golf. Wonderful to have both those guys in contention for major championships, which we saw in 2025. But if I got to choose one, Scotty Sheffield is the best player in the world. I will pick him to have a greater, more bountiful, robust 2026. I guess it depends how you define greater and bountiful and more robust. You know, Rory Maroy, he’s already coined his season a 10 out of 10. In his mind, you’re not going to get better than that. Completing the career grand slam, winning in away Ryder a cup, winning a home national open. Rory’s going to really struggle to fulfill any more than what he has done this year. He’s now on this quest for international domination and to be the greatest European golfer of all time. He’s a couple of race to Dubai titles away from Colum Montgomery. he could get one back this week in Dubai. Scotty has still got so much to achieve in a major potential um in his future. So, it depends how you def it depends how you define better and more successful. And Rory’s talked about having to be more focused in terms of what his ambitions are that he’s achieved this great acclaim with with the career grand slam. So, now he’s going to be a little bit more targeted in where he gets focused and motivated for you. You don’t hear Scotty having to kind of narrow his focus at all. You know, I we’ve heard Rory Mackenroy on the record say this year he wanted to play golf more like Scotty in terms of being disciplined, less prone to errors. I’ve yet to hear Scotty say he wants to play golf more like anyone else. US Open that’s the last thing for Scotty to complete the career grand slam. See you at Shinock, baby. But it won’t be as dramatic as that final round at Augusta National in April for Rory Maroy. Nothing. Probably not. Nothing will ever compare to that. Well, we’re looking forward to it. Don’t forget, reminder, Optum Golf Channel Games will air live on Prime Time on Golf Channel and USA Network on Wednesday, December 17th. All right. Well, in case you hadn’t heard, Kai Trump, the granddaughter of President Donald Trump, is in the field this week at the Anukica LPGA event by a sponsor exemption. Kayla Clark made it to bar stools. She is [Music] up there. [Music] Up there. [Music] It’s just gonna be cool to actually be inside the ropes with them, playing with them, learning what kind of shots they hit, what do what do they do on the course. Um, so yeah, I’m just looking forward to it and, you know, playing with the best. How much, if at all, have you watched Caitlyn Clark and and her game and what is it like being another individual in sports that’s inspiring to get into it and pursue it? Yeah, I mean what Caitlyn’s doing for women’s basketball. It’s amazing. Um, I think she’s a great role model to um, many people out there. Um, and I’m very lucky that people also look up to me in that way in golf. Um, and um, I’m just trying to grow women’s sports and just, you know, just try to grow as much as I possibly can. So, what Caitlin’s doing and what Anukica is doing as well? It’s just, it’s amazing. You obviously spent some time around Tiger Woods and what’s his influence been like on your game and did similarly, did he give you any advice for the week? Yeah, I mean, he is the best golfer in the entire world. Um, I would say that and he’s the even better person. So, you know, he told me just to go out there, have fun, and just go with the flow. Whatever happens happens. Can you share some of the advice that Anukica shared with you when you were playing as well? Yeah, same as you know, everyone else. Just go out there, have fun. Um, and just enjoy it because obviously you don’t have the first, you’re not playing your first ever event ever again. Like, this is just my first event. So, just go enjoy it. Um, and uh, just have fun out there. Well, with almost 9 million followers across her social media accounts, you wonder how many will be following her group and tuning in to see her teiered up in tomorrow’s first round at 12:32 p.m. Eastern alongside major champion Hanako Shabuno and Germany’s Olivia Cowan. So, with more on Kai Trump, we welcome in Brenley Romine, who is on site at the Anakah Brenley. We just heard a little bit from Kai there on her expectations uh for the week. But from a golf perspective, what do you think the realistic expectations are for the high school senior? Well, Anna, this is clearly a a massive competitive leap for Kai Trump when you consider that she’s ranked outside the top 1,200 in junior golf scoreboard, which is really the gold standard in junior golf rankings. And her biggest tournament to date, Junior Invitational at Savage Valley last May, shot 52 over par in four rounds. Was last in that 24 player field by 22 shots. But you speak to her future coaches at the University of Miami and the theme is potential and she has the height. Uh she has the speed. She’s a really good wedge player comparatively to maybe other 18year-olds. She’s athletic. We saw that on the 10th T this morning as from maybe just outside of high school range. She picked up a basketball and swished her first and only shot then stepped up and piped a nice little tight fade uh down that fairway. Now, she still has a long way to uh develop short game putting. Her head coach Janice uh Oliv Vinci Olivia uh at the University of Ma Miami said today uh quote, “She has tremendous potential in the work ethic.” And the assistant for the Hurricanes, by the way, is Jim Garren, who used to coach the men’s team at Coastal Carolina. He has experience developing players. He turned two club golfers, one into a conference champion and the other uh into a player who broke Dustin Johnson’s career scoring average. So, you know, perhaps getting Kai on campus and around some other elite players could help her turn into potentially an impact player for the Hurricanes. But make no mistake, Anna, this is clearly for this tournament for the LPGA an exposure play. You think about the social media following. You know, Kai is not going to win on Sunday. She’s not going to be holding the trophies. She’s probably not going to come close to making the cut. But for an 18-year-old to get this opportunity uh to try her best and gain experience, learn, and have fun, uh I think that’s exactly the type of buzz that Dan Doyle and and the rest of the LPJ is hoping to create this week. That’s right. We’re going to be talking about it, and that certainly brings value to the event. Well, Brentley, she mentioned it there, but she also had the chance to play with Anukica earlier in the week. What can you tell us about that? Well, Anukica was particularly impressed by the inquisitive nature of Kai. asked a lot of questions during that 9-hole program on Monday. And interestingly enough too, Anukica was brought back a little bit to 2003 when she teed it up on the PGA tour at Colonial against the men. Anukica talked about, you know, how back then she was really overwhelmed and it seemed like everyone had an opinion on her game. they were experts in her golf swing and she talked yesterday about the fact that Kai, you know, when you consider the last name, you consider all the attention, the scrutiny might even relatively be more and so she was really impressed with how Kai has No, only cash app. No Vimmo only cash out. So, if you guys want to take part in holiday giveaway, just for the day, I’m doing it for about probably a good hour. I’ll be giving some money away to you guys for the holidays. Appreciate y’all rocking out with me for the channel. this something I feel like doing, man. I gave away money the other day on the other channel. So, I I it’s only right that I bring it over here. Many Secret Service people around here. I feel I feel super safe. So, that’s another thing. Um but yeah, I mean, obviously her background and I just don’t know how she does it, honestly. I mean, to be 17 years old and and hear all the comments, I mean, she she must be super tough on the inside. I mean, I’m sure we can all relate what it’s like to get criticism uh here and there, but she gets it, you know, thousand times. So, um that’s why I just want to, you know, give her a break, come out here, have fun. I want her to feel like family here, and I want her to feel welcome. And I mean, give this girl a chance, right? Uh that’s what I think is our responsibility this week. And this morning and as I was watching Kai hit balls on the range, I ran into another division one golf coach who has won a national championship. And that coach mentioned that Kai had attended a golf camp a few months ago at that institution and said what really impressed that coach was the fact that she assimilated to the other girls. Like she was a joy to be around. Uh and quote she was just wanted to be one of those other girls. And I think you can agree or disagree on the merits of her being in this field. But the fact of the matter is she does have this spot. And I think that’s what Anukica was getting at when she talks about giving her a chance. Not necessarily a chance that, you know, she needs this chance to, you know, be able to make it in the game, but just a chance to kind of be a normal girl. And guys, can we get to 900 likes, bro? 900 likes on the live, man. Can we get to 900 likes, please? Let’s get to 900 likes. If you guys in the chat, you have not hit the like button. What um I think mostly are pretty low expectations for her competitor and drop your cash. Yeah, that’s right. She’s going to bring eyeballs to this tournament, Brenley, as you say, and let’s give her a chance. But the Cynics have been cynical already, and they’ve said, “Look, she has to play well.” Well, let’s take a look at this. She’s out there right now playing in the pro. This was just moments ago on 15 trying to prove herself that she deserves to be teeing it up in this field this week. If this goes in, what about that? Potentially the longest putt of the day, Kai Trump. She’s out there down in Florida at the Anukica. We’ve got more of this coming up after the break. [Music] This is golf. Nice shot, honey. And this is golf’s supertore. Oh yeah. When I got diagnosed with skin cancer, it was right under my eye. I was told that surgery was the only option and I did not want to get cut open on my face. I asked my women’s group to pray for me and one of the other ladies told me about the procedure that her friend had and it was gentle care. [Applause] [Music] up there. [Applause] Yeah, looks like she was able to put into work a little bit of what Jamie was telling her. Release that. Wham. Here is Caitlyn at the 10th. [Applause] Yeah, looks like she was able to put into work a little bit of what Jamie was telling her. Release that. Wham. Here is Caitlyn at the 10th. Crazy [Applause] man. Packer fan. The Packers. What are you a Chiefs fan? I’m a huge Chiefs. Oh yeah. Wait, I actually did. You were on the podcast. Yeah, I’m a big Chief. From Kansas City, so I’m not Chiefs. Oh, she likes Chiefs. Oh, hardcore. How about that? I can’t wait to ask her about it. Go Pack [ __ ] Packers. Packers crazy. Packer fan, man. I love the Packers. What are you a Chiefs fan? I’m a huge Chiefs. Oh, yeah. Wait, I actually did. You were on the podcast. Yeah, I’m a big Chief. Is from Kansas City, so I’m not Chiefs. Oh, she likes Chiefs. Oh, hardcore about that. I can’t wait to ask her about it. Go Packy Packers. Packers. Crazy. Coolest man. Packer fan. I love the Packers. What? Are you a Chiefs fan? I’m a huge Chiefs fan. Oh, yeah. Wait, I actually did. You were on the punch. Yeah. Stars in the world. Yourself and Caitlyn Clark. Describe this atmosphere. I mean, even her teammates are super fun. So, um, it’s been a blast so far. We’re going to Who are the biggest sports stars in the world? Yourself and Caitlyn Clark. Describe this atmosphere. It’s crazy. I mean, that first tea um was something out of a book almost, but it’s so fun. It’s It’s cool to see how many people she brings together to another sport. Um, golf today. [Music] And we’re back on, guys. [Music] Golf today. Oh yeah, a lot of crowds have come out to watch the WNBA’s biggest name, Caitlyn Clark, Wednesday prime at the Anukica. Chilly start as you can see, but still plenty of energy. Homemade signs. Let’s go girls. Caitlyn taking a picture for my 17th birthday. I bet she says yes. A lot of Indiana fever jackets. And one thing I can say is that the fans definitely showed up. The fans definitely definitely showed up today. Caitlyn Clark and she’s hitting some good shots. She’s struggling a little bit. I’m just enjoying the the drama of this Wednesday. It’s like watching a great star trying to warm her way. Yeah. And I mean, we’ve spoken a lot already about, you know, the importance that Caitlyn Clark is having right now on potentially exposure of the LPGA and bringing more rivals to the sport. But for me, just seeing those images of Caitlyn, Sophie, and Lexi, and Nelly, just four young women just enjoying sport and being a part of this world that is women’s sport that I just feel like for so many young women right now, for young girls growing up in this toxic environment of social media and it’s not who you are, but it’s what you have. And it’s so hard being a young woman. And I know for me growing up, sport was at the center of everything. And it just brings women together in out in nature. And to see Caitlyn Clark just such a the cool character that she is alongside Nelly and for young girls to be watching that outside the ropes and and aspiring towards that instead of all of this stuff that could you could also aspire to in today’s world, I think it’s just really special. And I was struck by something that Nelly said on that topic in her interview with Tom Abbott when she pointed to those kids lying the ropes and said, “We were those girls at one point.” And I think there’s a peripheral vision that they clearly have in terms of of a responsibility as as role models or something just beyond what’s in it for me. And that’s a perspective that too often we’ve seen lost in the men’s game in most men’s sports, but particularly in men’s golf over the last few years. And what is interesting to me particularly with Caitlyn Clark is how she steps up to the demands on her time and that has got to be a significant draining part of her life because everyone wants a piece of Caitlyn Clark and she’s giving back. It’s a special day and no doubt an inspirational day as you said for a lot of young girls. Definitely man for like Kayla Cart to be doing this is great because she has not played basketball in so long. just to see her doing something is box office, man. Truly, truly truly is this morning. But she she’s sort of in that in that kind of zone of trying to self-correct out on the golf course. She’s got Jamie Mulligan out there kind of giving her a couple of tips and we’ve all been there. We are trying to tweak as you go and it generally is not a good place to be. Want to have a quiet mind, don’t you? Quiet mind. No one’s going to accuse her of laying up on that pup. She’s taking an aggressive role at it. You know what though? It’s fun. She’s had a good sense of humor the whole time. Yeah, you see the competitiveness. You see there with her teammates also some soccer royalty there. Rihanna Scurry, great goalie from yesterday year. A couple gold medals for her. World Cup as well. But Kaitlin having a good spirit about the whole thing. Aman, you talked about the demands on her time. She’s she’s just like us. She just wants to play some good golf. Yeah. And when you spend your life on the three-point line with a lot of pressure and a wall of night around you, I guess this is actually relaxing. Good speed there. Hard to get comfortable, but look, she wants more. She’s a competitor. She wants greatness. And she’s been robbed of competition this season WNBA as well. Of course, she’s been struggling with injury. She said she hasn’t really been able to work on her game as much as well as a result on a golf course, but she’s got the taste of the competition. The juices are flowing. You can see she wants to give the crowd something today. You’re right. And she’s been dealing with groin injury, ankle injury. It’s good to see her out here. This is her first real competition in quite some time. And here it is just to see these powerful women tops of their game all together and sharing stories and sharing some laughs. What an inspirational video that is just seeing them walking the same fairway. Yeah. Get these women in Nike campaign together. Come on. This is this is what is going to get girls to pick up balls and start playing these sports. It’s just awesome to see them together again. Not bad. That’s her approach shot into the par four fifth hole. This the birdie putt to follow. Come on now. Trying to get that crowd riled up. The knee bend. How often do we see the knee bend? Whether you’re a two-time major champ or t handicap. Here she is on the sixth par three. Birdie putt from off the green. Texas wedge cozying it up there. Nice little touch. Starting to see some comfort from Caitlyn. All those eyeballs on her living and dying with every shot. Now, this is where she started to feel some good things after a little lesson from Jamie Mulligan, Nelly’s Courtis teacher. Yeah, you can see the little fist pump that turned to the crowd, nailed it straight down the middle. And this is where she then got up with Tom Abbott and said, “I need to give the crowd something to cheer about.” Well, they didn’t have to wait too long. this on the same hole. Oh yes. Turn the camera on and the teammates there just like on the hardwood. Nothing but love and support. She knocks in that birdie. The overall number one pick from last year. Alltime WNBA assist record. Earned WNBA rookie of the year honors. Named the 2024 All WNBA first team. As mentioned, didn’t see much of her on the hardwood with injuries this past season, but great to see her inside the ropes smiling today. So, let’s get some more smiles and send it out to Pelican Golf Club where we find our own Grant Boon and Morgan Preston. Damon, Aean, Anna, thanks. It’s not often that the LPGA gets center stage in a sports week, but on this Wednesday morning, it is all about Caitlyn Clark and these great athletes on the LPGA tour here. The ProAm again about half 8. And Morgan, it’s been fun to watch. Hey, there’s been a real energy on this property today. A lot of excitement. Just everybody wanting to get a glimpse of Caitlyn Clark. Whether it be on our coverage here on Golf Channel or up close here on this golf course. Fans have certainly So I believe this is the second round and she’s cheering on her teammates. Seeing her with Nelly this morning was a lot of fun to watch two true sporting superstars come together in the game of golf. That’s what that’s what this game is, right? Brings us all together. How many athletes do you see from all sports grinding it out on the golf course and to see a superstar like Caitlyn? It’s um look at I mean I just love to see how much fun she’s having. You know she’s a competitor. You know she wants to play well. You know she wants to perform well but still having fun. Yeah. Those are her teammates Sophie Cunningham and Lexi Hall. Just thinking about Caitlyn Clark and certainly in terms of sports, we know what she’s done. In terms of just most popular women in America, maybe the only one more popular is her favorite artist, Caitlyn’s favorite artist, Taylor Swift. Caitlyn is the showgirl today. And she has shown off with some cool shots and some long putts we’ve seen. I mean, that impressive putt that she made what on the 10th hole. That was I mean, she certainly knows how to play. She loves the game of golf and I think that’s a lot of fun. and it’s brought a lot of eyeballs. Some uh Nelly is We just hit 900 likes. Now, let’s get to the thousand. Appreciate all the love and support, man. That’s all I ask for you guys is come in and hit that like button, man. That’s all I ask. Come in, hit the like button. It cost you nothing, bro. Incredible household name. And to see her now for the second year in a row play on this Wednesday morning here at the Anukica, it’s been a lot of fun. And we see all the jerseys out there. Iowa Hawkeyes jerseys. Tons of Indiana Fever jerseys. Her second year playing for the WNBA’s Fever. There you go. That number 22. Just look at the young faces. That was you not that long ago. Well, I’m thinking about when that was me. Golf wasn’t that cool. And now you have some real superstars uh both in and out of golf. Making golf cool again for youngsters to play. And uh it it’s really neat to see. It was always one of my favorite things was to interact with the juniors who came out to watch. Maybe some whose parents brought them out had never seen golf before. And it can be lifechanging for these young kids. This is the par 350. [Music] There are so many youngsters out there. Tom Abbott caught up with one of them just a moment ago. That was pretty nice, guys. That was pretty good. Well, Grant, I’m here with a young Micah who’s 16 years of old, 16 years of age with 17th birthdays coming up because you got this sign. I hope you do get uh a picture maybe after Caitlyn finishes. Tell me, why are you inspired to come out and watch Caitlyn? What it is is it about her that makes you like her so much? Uh, I just like how hard she works and I feel like I grew up with sports. I play three sports. Um, and I think she’s helped me stay motivated because there’s times when I was like, I don’t know if I want to do this anymore, but um, basketball was a sport I played for the longest time. Um, I’ve played since I don’t even I don’t even remember. I’ve played forever. Um, but I feel like she’s just a really good role model for all people that play sports and she’s just amazing. Are you Are you Are you a golfer? Do you play golf? No. I wish I was good at golf, but I’ve tried. It’s not clicking to me yet. Well, you got to you got to keep working on it. Coming out and watching the the LPJ players and the celebrities playing today. Does that inspire you to play more golf? Yes, it definitely does. I think it does. Um, I wish I was good at golf. I my my younger sister plays golf, but that’s about it. I’ve always been around it. Well, we wish you all the best with everything. I hope you have a happy birthday and I do hope that you get your picture with Kate and Clark. Hopefully after the round you can get it. Thank you, Grant. Shout out to uh the Label volleyball team as well. Yeah, we can make that happen, can’t we? Get the picture. Alex, Morgan, who was that for you when you were growing up from a tennis family, obviously. who you can look up to. Yeah, I certainly players like Nancy Lopez, Julie Inkster. You know, I grew up watching Anukica Sornstam, Ki Webb, Siri Pac were kind of the big three at the time when I was really starting to get serious about competitive golf. And I I remember when I went out to my first couple of LPJ events to watch, standing like this on the side of the ropes waiting for autographs behind the 18th hole. And uh I still actually choked with Kari because she was one of the first to talk to me. And you know I remember that I almost I was speechless. I couldn’t I couldn’t say anything u back to her when she asked me a question. I just froze. And you know it’s just neat to see that in this next generation here. Excited both about the golfers as well as the basketball stars, the WNBA stars here on the course. You were younger than that when you were signing autographs, having qualified for the US Open at 12 and playing at 13. You talked about practicing your autograph, right? I did. That that is a true story. Yeah. And it’s great, by the way. Yeah. Just these uh kind of surreal scenes for these youngsters who are the biggest Caitlyn fans. And there’s Lauren Win playing with Caitlyn. Caitlyn came so close to a national championship with Iowa couple of times runner up. Lauren did win a natty with Northwestern earlier this year. And Lauren’s playing in her first LPGA event. She’s going to play the tournament. And I was talking to Lauren yesterday and I said, “So, standing over a putt to help win a national title or teeing it up Thursday, which will be more nerve-wracking?” She said, “Tomorrow playing in the proam with Caitlyn Clark. That’s going to be the most.” Yeah, that’s that’s fair. A lot of eyeballs on that group right now. I mean, here, you know, the entire group has been on camera for their entire rounds. And certainly with the NCAA’s being on Golf Channel and some of the collegiate players have gotten some of that experience, but nothing quite like the stage right here for Lauren. Good prep. Good prep for this week and for her future career she hopes to have on the LPGA tour. Yeah, good call there. We uh were on the range with Caitlyn earlier as she was warming up and I saw Lahi W and Alexa Pano, Caris Davidson go over and get some picks with Caitlyn before she got going. Here’s a long one. I feel like I remember seeing that last year when she was walking up the final hole. Players walking out wanting to get a picture with Kaitlin Clark for the Graham. You know, got to get it on the Graham. It’s not your ordinary Wednesday and it couldn’t be better out here in Bair, Florida. For now, back to David. All right, Grant. I agree. Been a big time morning. As we head into the lunch hour now, Caitlyn Clark played nine holes with Nelly Corda this morning. The 15time winner on the LPGA. What does Nelly think of Caitlyn? Two big time names front page bold type shouldertosh shoulder. Two years running at the Here’s what Nelly had to say about teeing it up once again with Caitlyn Clark. Yeah, I actually saw her last week for an outing. Um but she’s great. She’s so fun to be around. It’s so cool to see how many people she brings to a different sport, how many um fans that she has and what a difference and how much of a needle that she moves really. So um it’s really cool to see and just a lot of appreciation for her for coming out here and also supporting us. Nelly, obviously it’s the second year that Caitlyn’s been here um and played in this pro. You played with her last year. Did you notice any differences in her game from last year to this year or was it just more about having fun for you guys? Yeah, definitely more about having fun. I mean, her teammates were out too. They were they were a lot of fun. Um, I think maybe she was a little bit more comfortable. We knew each other a little bit more. So, for us, like chitchatting was a lot of fun. Um, but I would say the same amount of people showed up this year as they did last year. And that to me is really cool to see. How do you think you would do in a prom basketball game with Piglet? Bad. I did play I occasionally play um pig and I lose every single time. It takes me a a long time to really get warmed up. But actually Kayn and I were messaging and she’s like, “This is unfair. Like I need to take you to the basketball court. Like why are we always on a golf course?” So maybe one day. But it’s it’s pretty bad. I would definitely like to use some pointers. I don’t know if it’s like the shot. I think it’ll be more of like the movement for me. Nelly, like any youngster, right to Instagram. This is your Instagram story. Go Indiana Fever. Lexi, Sophie, and Caitlyn. What a photo. A lot of star power in Bair outside of Tampa at the Anukica. This is a big week for Nelly, don’t you think? World number two cuz last year she won the Anukica for her seventh win of 2024. Was a pretty unbelievable year. And Anna, of course, been a little quieter since. It’s been a little quieter. We haven’t seen her for a couple of weeks. She’s been struggling with injury. But since that win, this time last year, 18 starts, the two runner-ups, probably most notably at the US Women’s Open, the one that she’s desperate to get her hands on. Hasn’t missed a cut and posted nine top 10s. So, where are we at with the world number two? Let’s get back down to the Pelican Club and say a good afternoon again to Amy Rogers. Hey there, Anna. Well, this week at the Anukica driven by Gainbridge at Pelican, Nelly Corda is making her first start in more than a month. Uh she made her last competitive start at the Lote Championship in early October and it was shortly after that that she announced she was withdrawing from the Hanoa Life Plus International Crown due to injury. Now, at the time, she didn’t specify what that injury was, but she did confirm today that it was in fact a neck injury. She first injured her neck uh this past summer in June at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship when she said that she hit a shot from the rough and and injured her neck, which which led to that pain. And so, that same injury is still calling causing her uh some issues all these months later. Cortis said after her proAM today that she spent the last month doing quite a bit of rehab to strengthen her neck in order to avoid any further injury. It was definitely very preventative too. Um the thing with injuries and how much we travel and train like you’re never painfree. I think if you go to any athlete across all sports and ask them if they’re painfree um they’re going to tell you that they’re not. So last year was probably I’m not going to lie, it was one of my worst injuries ever. Um I wasn’t even sure if I was going to be able to play the rest of the year. I thought I was out for the season. And if I’m starting to feel that pain a little bit and I know that that could possibly reoccur, I have to prioritize my body and say that, okay, I need to step back. I need to take some time off and make sure I don’t go down that path. Ca went on to explain that she’s learned a lot from her past injuries and health issues. In fact, she said that she had experienced symptoms for three weeks leading up to that blood clot that she suffered in her arm, but she just brushed them aside as though they were nothing and just ignored them. She said she didn’t want to do that this time with her neck and instead address any of the discomfort that she was feeling right away. Not only to prevent further injury, but also to prevent any further layoffs or time away from competition. She said that she didn’t pick up a club for nearly three weeks during this latest break and again most of her time was focused on just getting her neck uh strong again. Anna, thank you Amy. Well, we are so glad to have her back in the field this week at the Anukica and she will get her first round underway tomorrow 1210 p.m. Eastern alongside a pair of major champions this year in Miyu Yamashita and Grace Kim. Coming up next, we’ll hear from Anukica [Music] Yes. This is golf. Nice shot, honey. And this is golf’s supertore. Oh yeah. Some of the best times with my mates are spent on our golf trips. Back on golf today, couple of LPGA winners in Ly W and Alexa Pano hanging out with Caitlyn Clark. What are they talking about? Short game, three-point shots. Oh, they’re talking about selfies. Come on now. It’s 2025. Oh, there we go. Great day. Sun is shining. That’s just today. Yeah, tomorrow it begins the Anukica driven by Gamebridge. The host is Anukica Sorn. And speaking of which, why don’t we send it back down to Florida and Tom Abbott? Yeah. here alongside Anukica who’s just finished her uh prom, putting the watch on, getting uh getting ready to uh spend the day talking to sponsors and fans and uh but let’s talk about your golf today. How was the prom? How’d you play? I enjoyed being out here. How about that? I had some good shots and then some mixed mixed bag, but you know, the core is in great shape and as you know, it’s more about being the hostess here and having fun with, you know, whether it’s our partners, our sponsors or Rachel Heck, who I play with who is the recipient of the Anukica Inspiration Award. So, it’s been great. It’s been a wonderful day so far, but we have lots more to come. Talk about what what has happened so far in terms of we we’ll get to what’s happening later on in the week, but let’s talk about what’s happened so far. What has been your highlight for you so far this week? You know, it it’s it’s hard to pick one thing out. I mean, we started with Monday ProAm. I had a chance to play with uh Kai Trump and then yesterday we had the women’s summit. We had like over hundred women here, executive women, uh just sharing kind of the the mission of the AnuKa Foundation. We had a lovely dinner last night and then a concert. Uh now I got this proam and then we’re celebrating the veterans. Um I don’t know where to to start or finish. It just keeps going and I’m just so happy to be part of this tournament and to see how it’s growing and how much better it’s getting every year. Caitlyn Clark has been in our coverage playing in the proam today. You got a chance to play with her last year in the proam. What does having Caitlyn here at your event do to elevate this tournament? Well, if you’re here, you would see the amount of people that are here. you see the atmosphere and I mean she’s very popular and great to have her part of this event in many ways and like you said I played with her last year and you know quite the athlete what can I say and it’s just I don’t know she adds a lot to this tournament in a lot of different ways and it’s fun and but I think that’s what gamebridge does such a good job they bring in athletes from different parts and just get women together and you know sharing some stories with her and then this year as you know we have some celebrity caddies some other great WNBA players whether it’s Sophie or Lexi and so it’s kind of fun to have them all here come here and be part of what we do here. You’ve been in her position. You’ve kind of been at the top of a sport for a long time. What is that like in terms of the pressure that’s on your shoulders, not only to to elevate your own sport, but bring attention to women’s sports in general? Yeah. I don’t know if I had it what what Caitlyn’s got, but I mean, I enjoyed my time at the top. Obviously, it’s fun to be there and be able to play your best golf, but you know, sometimes you feel responsibility making sure you do the right things and try to grow the game in the right direction. And so, but I also feel like it was a privilege to be in that role. And I mean, that’s one of the things I try to do now. Obviously, not playing, being inside the rope so much, but just trying to grow it, get young girls to pick up the game and enjoy it. And we’re seeing it this week. We see a lot of young girls. I love it. We have a big clinic on Saturday for young girls and want them to be inspired and for them to come here and see their role models. I mean, that that’s the coolest thing. See their smiles and see how giddy they get. It doesn’t get much better than that. And looking ahead to the the tournament, how’s the golf course playing? And uh is there a type of player that you think this golf course is going to suit this week? Nelly Carter has obviously played well here in the past. She has. She’s won three times. So, um I wouldn’t bet against Nelly at all. I mean, she does really well here. Um as you know, if you look at it’s it’s, you know, pretty generous off the tea. Uh but it’s the greens that I would say it’s, you know, they’re pretty tricky. They’re always a little faster than maybe when the ladies are used to quite undulated. So, you know, to summarize it, I mean, if you’re a long hitter here, you’re going to have short irons into these screens are quite undulated and that will give you a better chance for birdies. So, but as you know, 72 holes, anything can happen. If we get some wind, uh, then you got to be able to keep the ball a little low here. So, I think it’s really a true test and obviously as we come down the season here towards the end, it’s good to have a tournament like this that kind of feels out the best. Yeah, we’ll be looking at those bubbles, top 60 and top 100 in the race of the CM Globe. Anukica, thanks so much for talking to us. I know you’ve got a lot to do today and the rest of the week, but have a fantastic week and thanks so much for everything you do for the LPGA and this championship. Well, thank you. I appreciate the support. We appreciate the exposure and uh thanks for being out here. It’s going to be a wonderful week and just happy to be part of it. Grant. Okay, Tom. Anukica, thanks. Out here a day early, the Wednesday ProAm with Caitlyn Clark teeing it up. Third year that Anukica has been the host of this event rebranded. Her husband Mike and like Anukica did at Colonial back in gosh more than 20 years ago, 2003. what we’re doing today. What the hope is is that you transcend golf, right, Morgan? And you bring some folks in who maybe haven’t paid attention to the sport, especially the LPGA tour. That’s definitely you see that and you know, the crowds who are some of the crowds who’ve come out big Caitlyn Clark fans maybe have never seen a professional golf tournament before. And to see the best female players in the world out here on the LPGA Tour, it’s really can transcend the game of golf, the sport with having a superstar like that out here. There is Caitlyn Clark along with Lauren Win. Now a professional Lauren making her LPGA debut. She’s been here the last couple of weeks. Lauren has practicing, getting ready for this event. She’s going to be in the Epson tour next year, both playing collegiately in the Midwest. You think about what Iowa, the state, the university, what it meant for Caitlyn’s celebrity. She’s a homegrown superstar and that rabid fan base which we saw on display at the Soulheim Cup back in 2017 with the tens of thousands on hand as the US beat Europe. Anukica was the captain that year for Europe. Julie Ingster for the Americans and they were out in full force. This is at the 16th hole. Caitlyn’s playing nine holes with Nelly this morning and now nine with Lauren Win. Talk about intimidating shots on this golf course. That one she had on 12. Yeah, intimidating. This one 16 and 18. Those are those are three pretty intimidating shots on this back nine. She’s usually the intimidator. But um slightly different out of her usual element. The sun’s out, the guns are out. She’s like Anukica, been in the gym as Anukica did in her career, adding some bulk, some muscle. And uh given the way those first couple of years have gone on the the WNBA, Caitlyn may be glad to be playing a non-cont sport here. Crowds have been out all morning. The gates opened a quarter till 7 and uh out for a walk. I passed some folks with Iowa Hawkeyes gear and they were on their way in even then. Got a long one here. Three-point range. Seen so far today. These greens are super slick. pulled it back too quickly maybe. All right, so Caitlyn coming down the stretch here of her prom for now. We send it back to Damon. All right, Grant. Caitlyn Clark still got the game face going on Wednesday outside Tampa bringing the people out to the Pelican. When we return, a check-in on the PGA tour. Women’s sports are showcased throughout USA sports programming. How much? Roughly 1,000 hours of women’s sports programming in 2026. That is very cool to hear. Damon Hack, how exciting uh for next year. But right now, I’m going to turn this back to this week because there is still business to be completed on the PGA Tour. It’s returning to Bermuda as the island nation host the seventh playing of the Butterfield Bermuda Championship in the second to last event of the 2025 season. So, the season will end after next week’s RSM Classic where the top 100 players in the final FedEx Cup standings and PGA Tour Cars for 2026, whilst numbers 51 through 60 qualify for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro and the Genesis Invitational via the AON Next 10. So, Chap, there is only two events remaining and there’s still a lot to play for. Aean, what’s your kind of takeaway from from this year’s FedEx Cup series so far? It’s a reminder that while it may not be an important point in the schedule to some of the biggest stars in the game, doesn’t mean it’s not important. Period. I there’s some uncertainty about what happens to the fall schedule going forward. We’ll see what this Tiger Woods le committee comes up with in terms of what the future shape of the PGA Tour looks like. But in no way could it be considered as diluting the core FedEx Cup season right now. Nor could it be said that if the PGA Tour has international ambitions with the DP World Tour, it’s not going to dilute that either. The fall can be set up as kind of a hunger game scenario for the next generation to play their way through while still allowing the players who really move a needle to show up on occasion in Dubai or Abu Dhabi or Wentworth and really kind of extend the footprint of the PGA tour. The fall does not hurt anyone. Yeah, it’s a time of year to discover new names and new players. A year ago was Matt Mccardi in Utah. This year it’s Michael Brennan in his club in Virginia where hundreds were watching including kids standing on the chairs watching their favorite son win for the first time on the PGA tour. It’s Chad Ramy and Sammy Valamaki who we spoke to on golf today playing their way inside that top 100. Make no mistake, we’ll talk about Scotty and Rory forever. But it’s also neat to shine some light on these players that are hustling and grinding before Thanksgiving. Yeah, that’s right. You look at Gareth Higgo as well. surged from 99 to 52nd right now with the what three top five finishes this fall. So it is life-changing getting inside those signature events for the next year. The first couple finishing inside the top 60 can change the entire trajectory of someone’s year in 2026. So still a lot to play for. Gives me and something to talk about too in the couple hours of day. We love doing it. I’m glad you do. All right folks, starstudded Wednesday. We’ve talked about it a lot. When we come back Yeah. Another star, Brianna Scurry. Couple gold medals in gold world cup as well. She’s out there at the Anto. We’ll hear from her coming up. [Music] Didn’t meditate this morning. I didn’t stretch. Brown Scurig is a soccer legend. Now retired goalkeeper, twotime Olympic gold medalist, World Cup champ. Back in September, she had the chance to meet WNBA superstar Caitlyn Clark. Oh my gosh, Caitlyn, pleasure to meet you. Nice to meet you. You’re an amazing player. It’s an honor to meet you and I’m hoping you’re getting well soon. I know. That’s the goal. I can’t wait to see you back up there again. It’s been fantastic. And some gloves for you. I got to be a little bit different with the glove. How about this resume? Soccer hall of fame, 173 appearances for the US women’s national team, FIFA champ, Olympic gold twice, goalkeeper of the year. So with more, we send it out to Florida, Tom Abbott. Yeah, Brianna is with me. You know what it’s like to be at the absolute pinnacle of women’s sports, but your first time at an LPJ event. What’s the experience been like? It’s been absolutely fantastic. I literally used to be an avid golfer about 30 years ago in the mid 90s. So, it’s been a minute, but it’s been absolutely fantastic. I’m I’m really thrilled to be out here. It’s great to see such incredible talent and uh just the support um that Gambridge has given women’s athletics in this country right now is really exciting. So, I’m I’m really happy to be here. What took you away from golf? Was it concentrating on obviously on soccer? Well, yeah. So, in that in that time frame, I had just gotten on the national team and so I was trying to make my way and I decided to kind of lay off of it. Unfortunately, never got back around to it, but uh you know, I might get a little bit of the bug today from from walking around out here and seeing how amazing this has been and and fun it is. So, maybe I’ll pick up a club again. Did you get the buzz there on the 10th T having to hit the shot under pressure? I just wanted to make contact. I had one job to do and that was to make contact and I did. So, hey, we start from there. We got a lot of US uh soccer fans watching. Give us your assessment of the team right now and what’s coming up. Yeah. So, don’t get frustrated because this is the year when you try a lot of new players. Emma knows that. Um the year after Olympic Games, you want to give young young talent a chance in a real game so she can see what she needs to do going forward. And so, don’t worry about it. Uh it’ll come back around, but we got two years before next big major World Cup. And I think Triple Espresso will be back on the pitch anytime soon hopefully. So, it’d be good. Great to talk to you. Thanks for being out here. And I know you’ve inspired a lot of people and it’s really important to have somebody who’s such a legend of uh of Olympic sports and women’s soccer here. Brianna, thank you. Thank you, Damon. All right, Tom, that was very cool. What a day. Soccer, hoops, golf, a celebration of women’s sports happening now at the Anukica. It’s interesting listening to her talk earlier about she understands the balance that’s required here that excellence inside the ropes in and of itself isn’t quite enough in certainly in women’s sporting what’s demanded of of the top women players to be more marketeteers as much as they are athletes. She was excellent the ropes 72 wins 10 major championships in the spot in the LPGA and world golf hall of fames. Well, from Florida for this. That’s awesome. That’s awesome. You see Caitlyn Clark playing alongside Lauren Win, part of that national championship team at Northwestern, making her LPGA debut. But a lot of fun watching a WNBA superstar, her second straight year in the Anukica ProAm. This was the first hole of the day. You know, iron swing. Not bad. I’m going to say it’s a pretty good start, Anna. Especially for someone who hasn’t played as much golf or basketball as she was planning to this year. and suffering with injuries to come out on the first hole with the nerves, with the crowds. It’s a true champion, Aean. And like for many of us on the first hole, still trying to figure out the pace of those greens. Didn’t quite have it at the start, but she found it a little bit later. Yeah, it was a little chilly start to the day, upper 40s, low 50s, but you see her teammates there, Lexi Hall and Sophie Cunningham. They’re tough. Got shorts on, braving the elements. You see Bana Scurry, great goalkeeper for the United States women’s soccer team. That’s a gang that you want to be a part of, right? This is This is how much knowledge, competitive knowhow in that group. Yeah, that’s some cool chicks right there. I think anybody who’s going to be turning this on is going to want to know more. And Caitlyn Clark just putting it up there nice and close. How many photos will she have taken today? selfies and the the light. She is in the mix. She is the mix. She is the mix. That’s right. Using the full 10 finger grip on the putter for that one. But cozied it up there pretty well from well off the green. It’s nice to see her back with Nelly Corda. We had some shots earlier of Nelly’s coach Jamie Mulligan trying to calm her down, help her out, give her a swing thought to hold on to. But this is what it’s all about. The smiles, the laughter, the collaboration shouldertosh shoulder. Absolutely, David. That’s just friendship and it’s women raising women. It’s everything that we’ve been talking about for the last two and a half hours. And there’s just so much good stuff to come on the golf course, including that little approach there, I think, from Caitlyn. Little butter cut a kind of like that action. And this then for birdie, she kind of peaks a little early. You noticed that little putter flip started a little early on in that one. Nice aggressive roll though. Just saying she’s got time to get better in this game. This some off the green at six. She didn’t opt for the six degree wedge. Bermuda could be a little tough. She went for the Texas wedge. I think I think we’d probably all do the same, wouldn’t we? I’m not taking away on a tight lie like that. So, she makes the turn and she’s grinding a bit, but had a good pep talk. Interview with Tom Abbott says she’s going to play some golf. Look at the fist pump. Absolutely rips a drive down the middle of 10. She loves it. She said she wants to get this crowd going and she wanted to deliver something. She did it. So, we begin with off the tea. And then comes along her teammates. Yeah, Sophie delivered something. Four, right? S O R E. Felt a little bad, but you know what you do? You run over to the rope line and say, “Hey, I’m sorry. Give you a hug.” Look at all these guys now fainting trying to say, “Hey, it was me. You hit me.” So, you hit me. These, they got great personalities. The Fever Girls, she was straight down there. They’ve had so much fun out there today. And she did say before she hit that ball, she said, “Get back because this could literally go anywhere.” Are you okay? But nice of her. Are you okay? He’s like, “Yeah, I’m fine.” How about this now? Right after telling Tom Abbott we needed to make some noise. Like she’s done it a million times. Look at that. Beautiful teammates and Lexi lapping it up as well. you know, spoke to Paige McKenzie yesterday and said, “Hopefully Caitlyn Clark can just travel the LPGA tour, you know, week after week playing in proamps. Probably not possible, but man, this has been a fun morning into afternoon.” It has. And I think it’s also kind of wet our appetite as well for seeing Caitlyn Clark back in the WNBA next season as well. And just seeing the personalities and and the friendships and the bonds that she’s got with her teammates. So much of sport can be, you know, there’s there’s that wall up between us and getting to know the competitor and getting to know the player, which is partly the problem I think we have with the LPGA is really getting to know the players. But it’s the storytelling and it’s just having that access that I would have loved to have had a mic on Caitlyn today. That would have been really fun on Lexi and Sof as well. So I think just to kind of see their dynamic and just what fun can be had for sport. It’s been a massive thing today. And even if it is just something in a vacuum or a silo, it has been a fun day as well. It always is when you see someone who excels in a particular endeavor find their way to this sport. Whether it’s a Caitlyn Clark or a Steph Curry or Justin Timberlake or whomever it is, they all seem to find their way to this sport. I think it’s it’s great guerilla marketing for the day. It is not a strategy for growth for for the LPGA tour or or for the game in general because these people excel at other endeavors. They’re they’re busy people. they’re not devoting their lives to elevating the PGA tour or the LPGA tour. So, I think it would be very difficult for the leadership of the game to try to figure out how to take a day like this and make it part of the of the core product going forward in terms of a growth strategy, but it does get eyeballs on the game and it’s a fun experience for the people who are on site. It’s a fun experience for the viewers. We can accept it and appreciate it for that. Well, I hope they try. I hope Craig Kesler and and the folks at the LPGA try to capitalize. Create the playbook for it though. Maybe do ones in the fall, one in the spring, one in the summer. I mean, let’s think outside the box. Let’s get a little crazy. Yeah. Yeah, I agree. And let’s get other badass female athletes inside the as well. Use a day like this. Let’s get Olympians in there. Let’s get Let’s get Naomi a soccer. I don’t know if she plays golf, but let’s let’s do it. She moves the needle. It’s been a fun day out in Florida. Let’s send it back out to the Pelican to Grant and Morgan. Okay gang, thanks. Caitlyn finishing up. Had fun as you all have up there from down here watching. Beautiful look shots from above Morgan. And uh Caitlyn this morning, as we discussed earlier, hasn’t competed in an athletic endeavor since July when she was shut down because of injury. She said this is the first time since then I felt a little bit of a rush. She’s into it today. We’ve seen that. Yeah, we said earlier she’s definitely a competitor. Wants to come out here and and put on a show for the fans even though they’re used to seeing her with a basketball in her hand. Uh she definitely loves rising to the occasion. That’s what great athletes love to do. And it’s just fun to see her really embrace the moment out here. Love competing in this crazy game that we all love too. Yeah, it drives us crazy at times. You can see what a beautiful day it is here. Second shot here at the 18th where Nelly Corda has won three of the last four trophies. Sounded good. Be interesting to see what happens with Nelly this week. Of course, a lot of eyes on her having played here this morning with Caitlyn Clark. wondering if that will give her a little bit of a springboard into this tournament of which, as you said, she’s won three of the last four years. Lots of great memories here. Yeah, like she did last year. Played with Caitlyn, then went on to win. And if you’re a Caitlyn Clark fan and that’s the only reason you flipped over, stick with us. You’re going to see the greatest in the game it up this week. Quarter number two in the world currently. And it’s a huge week. This is the last big field event of the year. 108 players. Kai Trump and Lauren Wyn among the sponsor invites and Den Dunnan from Wake Forest alongside top players on the LPGA tour. Some trying to keep their jobs for next year. Caitlin’s got a contract. Hopefully all of those matters can be settled out with the WNBA and the players. But uh here this week, players hoping to secure their status for next year and some trying to move into the top 60 to play next week for a $4 million first prize. A ton of storylines this week on the LPGA tour. And what a way to kick off the week here. Yeah, I know. Yeah. Yeah, I see her all the time. She’s one of the pros I thought about a long time. Uh, it’s open. It’s just snowed last week. So, yeah, it’s an indoor sport that Caitlyn plays for a living as well as anyone in the world outdoors. You’re on a gorgeous day today. Chilly this morning. Temps in the low 40s. It’s warming up. We are set for a great final full week on the LPGA tour. Caitlyn has gotten us off to a great start along with Nelly win. Caitlyn’s friends from the Indiana Fever, Sophie Cunningham and Lexi Hall, Ry Scurry, who has soccer great, Carson Hosabar, the NASCAR driver, and of course our own Tom Abbott out there. There’s Carson. And we see this, don’t we, at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions when you see other great stars from other worlds talking to LPGA greats and each learning from the other about what makes them excel in their field. I think it was fun to see that conversation when we first came on today with Yeah. Caitlyn and Nelly talking about how Nelly manages her distance control and and uses a yardage book. Jennifer Cupjo has a chance to win a million bucks this week. Oh, nice. If she can excel on the 14th hole, the AON risk reward challenge. It’ll be settled this week. A million bucks on the line. And we had the young fan Micah whom Tom interviewed earlier hoping to get a picture with Caitlyn afterwards. Micah along with thousands of others up there surrounding the 18th hoping to get a little facetime with Caitlyn Clark. The Caitlyn effect this new TV contract that kicks in next year has tripled the previous contract $2.2 billion and USA Network is going to be part of that group televising the WNBA. I don’t see why it was almost right. By the way, I would watch if we had Nelly playing a game of pig with Caitlyn Clark. She was saying that earlier. Only fair, right? It’s I think it’s home and home. Yeah. Oh, you love to see this. The more the marrier. Come for Caitlyn, stay for Nelly and the rest of the LPGA. The very best in the world. They come from all over to play on the LPGA tour. It is the dominant tour in women’s golf. There are some other good ones, but this is the pinnacle. She’s got that flare for the dramatic. We saw the long putt she made at the 10th hole earlier, as the gang mentioned, saying she needed to get the crowd excited. She did. She’s uh had a history and a habit of that. I like and she has a little bit of time now. She can work on her game back healthy again. This will no doubt inspire Caitlyn as it did last year. She talked about what uh being here last year meant. She’ll have one more putt at it. Can you think about what she’s done, Morgan? With all the spotlight on her the last several years, she’s embraced it. And on Saturday Night Live, she’s she uh has done her part, hasn’t she, to to grow women’s sports. It’s one of the things that when you get to her position, you end up with so many opportunities and you have to choose the right ones. and uh she’s definitely embraced her position in sport and I mean that’s part of the reason why she’s become such a transcendent figure is because she has done those events and those appearances that transcend the WNBA, transcend women’s sports and have really made her an incredible star and household name. It’s the equivalent of a half court shot. Not going to make it very often. She makes it more than most on the court. You can’t say yes to everything, but certainly Caitlyn has said yes a lot. Well, you can’t say yes to everything and maintain your level at the top of the sport and that’s the balance that athletes struggle with. You want to say potentially yes to everything, but you know that any time you say yes to something, it takes away from your preparation and your practice and something else that you might be doing to get that much better at your sport. Well, Morgan, uh, let’s hope that those who came today to watch Caitlyn will stay. And, uh, we’ve got a big show that starts tomorrow. Yeah, certainly. As we said, a lot of great storylines here this week. You hope that some of those youngsters that came out as Caitlyn Clark fans will now be Nelly Ca fans and maybe pick up a golf club themselves. inspired by Caitlyn and Nelly and all of the other tremendous players out here in the field this week. We can hope and we will be ready to bring it to you. Round one of the Anukica driven by Gainbridge at Pelican. 10:00 Eastern time tomorrow. That’ll do it for us here in Bair, Florida. Let’s send it back to Damon up in the studio. Grant Morley, what a fun day we’ve had. Looking forward to tomorrow’s coverage as well. Also nice to shine a light on the LPGA, the WNBA, women’s sports, all kind of wrapped around this young woman right here, Caitlyn Clark. Yeah. So much of what we see in American sports is based around someone like Caitlyn Clark. It’s the idea of a superstar who’s either dominant or relatable. And at times the LPGA doesn’t necessarily feel as though it has a dominant or particularly relatable superstar. But I also think it would be a disservice to look at the LPGA tour only in the context of the domestic US market. It’s a pretty crowded sports market as we know and you know we talked before the show and Anna had pointed out how when you looked at the engagement on the ground during the Asia swing. It was phenomenal in terms of crowd support over there and it’s it’s worth the new commissioner Craig Kesler considering whether or not that’s the bedrock to build on the this idea instead of scrapping around the edges of a legacy US market or being hostage to this idea that it only matters if it’s within our time zones that embrace the idea of being a global market. There is a product out there. There is a market out there for a global product in women’s golf. we tend to think of it in a specific US context that maybe it’s outgrown. You heard Nelly Cer say it in her interview today. She was gutted not to play out in Korea with injury over the last couple of weeks because the fans are just so passionate out there. And I think in terms of an American audience, Caitlyn Clark just embodies everything that it means to be a female athlete in America and to sprinkle her magic on the day. For her to be so interested in in the LPGA and to come out here and to spend time doing this with youngsters and girls and kids and and men and women of all ages, this just has so much power and the weight that she carries. I’m not sure if there’s any other athlete out there right now, especially in women’s sport, who can do what Caitlyn Clark can do. No, she’s a singular superstar. Wonderful that she’s become a fan of golf, wants to get better, and bringing her star power to this stage. But make no mistake, big picture. It’s going to take risks. It’s going to take thinking outside the box to find something sustainable to really grow the LPGA. We’ve talked about the the opportunities and women and young women being the biggest potential growth area and maybe a day like today can be the starting point for something. This is two years in a row running. Hopefully we can do it again in 2026. But but my goodness, what a what a day to see what one person can really do and the potential for that. just to get people in a room to think about how can we bring the LPGA and the WNBA together more often. You saw Jennifer Cupcho major champ run out there to take a selfie with Caitlyn and Lexi and Sophie. Hopefully more of that to come, more collaboration, more ideas, and maybe more eyeballs ultimately. Yeah, we we spend a lot of time talking and you hear a lot of commentary in the game about how the LPG is a challenged product which is accurate, but what today shows is that it’s also an underleveraged platform and there are opportunities out there if you approach it in the opportunistic gorilla manner that is happening here today. This is, as I said earlier, it’s not necessarily a long-term strategy for growth, what we’re seeing today, but it is a great strategy for getting attention to your product. We saw a lot of these signs early this morning, a lot of these kids early this morning, hoping to get an autograph or a selfie, and this is the moment they’ve been waiting for. And you never know what kind of inspiration will come from an autograph or a selfie. These could be future. I don’t know. NBA, WNBA, LPGA, PGA. You never know. But this is this is what it’s all about. That that kind of handtoh hand face to face. I mean, that baby might be a scratch golfer one day. You never know. It’s so special. We heard Amy Rogers say it earlier in the show that the crowds that she has seen out here this week has been bigger than any crowd that she has seen at a major championship this year on the LPGA. And there are so many different factors that come into that. But there girls rocking up with signs this morning already pre-planned saying, “Please sign my t-shirt. It’s my 17th birthday.” Moms were baby. She got it. She got the picture. Happy 17th. Can we get a picture? Yeah. And it goes to show that there are so many youngsters and so many girls out there who are ready to be embraced into this world of golf and to stand on the outside the ropes like this and get autographed from their heroes and and their icons like Nelly or whether it’s Charlie Hull or whether it’s these we have we have very few needle movers on the LPGA who create this fandom unless to Ammon’s point you do go over to Asia and you go into Korea and Japan where the big stars of the LPGA are just woripped out there and that is where you will see scenes like this on a more weekly basis. Title N was passed in 1972 which prohibited sex-based discrimination in education allowing women to compete in sports in college. Remember Billy Jean King and Chris Ever, Martina Naverova, Nancy Lopez, and you know, Caitlyn Clark is in an ays that incredible legacy. And look at those crowds today who came out on a normally sleepy Wednesday and they absolutely brought energy and excitement to this program. I I don’t know any other prom or any other week that we get to kind of feel the power of of women’s sport necessarily on the LPGA. There there are, you know, the drive-on campaign. There are lots of things in place to be inspired by the athletes on the LPGA, but these are just really really special scenes. I think we’ve been lucky to see that today. Yeah. And it’s it’s always amazing to me how many e excellent performers and top tier athletes from every other sport, they always find their way to golf. And we we talk a lot about the idea that what we need to do better in this game, how we need to grow it. Maybe the fact that Keith Lenark wants to be there is a sign that maybe things aren’t that bad after all. Yeah, so many people love this game and want to play better golf, including Caitlyn Clark. They’re her teammates again, Sophie and Lex. They had a lot of fun as well. What a perfect day for a program, wasn’t it? Full recap coming your way 400 p. p.m. Eastern on Golf Central. Have a great one, everybody. There she is, the woman of the hour, Caitlyn Clark, arriving to Pelican Golf Club outside Tampa earlier this morning to compete in the Anukica driven by Gamebridge ProAm for the second straight year. What a scene. The guard for the Indiana Fever twice a WNBA Allstar. Back at the Anukica, mixing it up with the best on the LPGA, including Nelly Corda, the 15time winner. Caitlyn will play with her for nine holes. And tournament host Anukica Sordnam for nine holes. There you see Caitlyn’s Indiana Fever teammates Sophie Cunningham and Lexi Hall in Catty Bibs serving as honorary Caddies out there, no doubt to have a good time. And it was about 8:30 this morning when Caitlyn hit her opening T-shot. As you’d expect, the T- box was crowded with fans and kids to watch. of the biggest names in all of sports playing the game we love and we will follow along for the next three hours right here on Golf Today [Music] golf today large crowds outside Tampa where it is sunny temperatures in the 60s and Caitlyn Clark is the needle on this Wednesday. Folks bringing homemade signs and a lot of energy. Got their phones out. Even some little kids enjoying the sunshine and the star power one day before the start of the Anukica driven by Cambridge at Pelican. Hello and welcome. Damon Hack alongside Anna Jackson and Aean Lynch. Big day in the game. An exciting day for us as we announce USA Sports as the new brand and division name for our company’s robust sports portfolio across USA Network and Golf Channel. This includes PGA Tour, Premier League, WWE, WNBA to name a few. And speaking of the WNBA, got an exciting show today. WNBA superstar Caitlyn Clark is teeing it up today in the proam at the Anukica. She did it last year. Anna, what’s the significance, the impact of a morning like this? Huge, David Hack. Absolutely huge. When do we ever cover a women’s LPGA program? And when do we ever have a three-hour show to celebrate it? It is the most prominent, most transcendent female athlete in the world playing our sport. And you can just see it from the crowds that were there in her opening t-shirt. I’ve been told six deep. You’ve got kids skipping school to be there, all in their Caitlyn Clark gear, just ready to have such a good time. And it’s the perfect moment, I think, before we head into next week, the season ending event on the LPJ, the CME Group Tour Championship. The LPGA is back on US soil, back from the Asian swing. She’s going to bring a lot of attention, a lot of eyeballs, and it’s very easy to overstate the pi piper effect here. And the audience that comes out for Caitlyn Clark on Wednesday may not be the audience that shows for the actual competitors the rest of the week. And that’s okay. This is an opportunistic moment for attention for the LPGA tour. There’s a whole different conversation about how they turn attention into growth. That’s a strategic conversation for another day. But this is an opportunistic moment for the LPGA tour to put its best foot forward. like Steph Curry, Tony Romo, Marty Fish, Danica Patrick. It’s nice to have a star from another sport enjoying the game of golf. And as we told you, Caitlyn Clark already on the golf course. This was earlier, the par4 first. Let’s take a look at this golf swing, folks. She’s got to be a little nervous. You got to think the the the whole world is watching this moment. That’s a nice shot. That’s a green in regulation. Amen. It is. They’re playing a shambo format out here today. She’s leaving herself a long putt. We’re going to see that there’s no reservations. This is a traveling violation on this club. Damon, I imagine Aean, your game is quite familiar with the shambles. Would you Wow, we’re taking shots early. Look at her competitive already. Not happy with that. But look at the teammates there. You got number eight. That’s Sophie Cunningham. She’s of course in time first team all SEC and now a teammate with Caitlyn at the Indiana Fever as is Lexi Hall. Number 10, you’ve got, of course, Carson Hosavvar in the NASCAR Cup Series. Brian on a Scurry out there as well. US Women’s Soccer royalty. Let’s see how the putter is working here now for Caitlyn. Certainly got the speed done by the time she got to this green. Even the best players in the world sometimes struggle to get the speed of the greens early in around, right, Anna? Yeah, you just got to shake a little bit of rust off that. She hasn’t been playing her full schedule on the WNBA. We know that. I’m sure she’s had a little bit of time to just tinker on the golf course on the practice area. I mean, again, I’d be happy with that. I think most people who play for a living would be happy with that from that range. Yeah. Onto the fifth hole we go. And I mean, great facetime with Nelly Corda. I mean, this is great. We talked to Anukica earlier in the week a about you know what do the great talk about they do talk about workout routines and you know practice routines it’s not just hi and hello they’re trying to get some information yeah they learn from each other they don’t learn from the likes of us there it’s just appreciate that scene as well Caitlyn Clark walking the fairways with Nelly Corder two of the greatest American female athletes that we have right now it just it kind of doesn’t get much better than this I don’t think see that butter once And Aman says just starting to dial it in. Look a little action there with a little knee bend. Wonderful speed I would say. She about a high single digits handicap. Yeah, I think that’s what Anakica had her as. High single, low double digits. Better than us. Aiman. Didn’t see much of Clark on the hardwood in 2025 as injuries plagued her season. But great to see her inside the ropes on this Wednesday. So with more, why don’t we send it out to Pelican Golf Club where we find our own Grant Boon and Morgan Prele. All right, Damon and Aean and Anna. Great to have you with us here from Bair listening to the great the books and on the ground like you can get the exact carries of bunkers when you’re shooting with a rangefinder. It’s not the exact carry that you get like when you do it on the ground. So I would say it kind of like maybe could increase time too because there’s an extra step that you’re doing. Yeah. You’re doing like two things. Passing on some knowledge. Yeah. I think it’s just so fascinating. I mean I know uh the crew in Connecticut’s talked just about how important today is in the sense of women’s golf. One of the most transcendent athletes in all of sports, not just women’s golf or women’s sports. Caitlyn Clark here playing in the proam and trying to get some tips. I mean, every amateur in the world, nobody, if you know how far you actually carry your ball, that’s one of the most important things you can learn as a professional. Something that professionals dial in to the yard. And here, Caitlyn trying to understand, hey, instead of shooting the top of the bunker, why are you using the yardage book? That was a bit of the conversation they were having there. And how precise uh just these professional athletes are on the golf course. Caitlin trying to learn a thing or two. I love it. She’s an athlete. She’s competitive and she wants to show off for these fans. This is the par five seven and we have a third shot coming up. Just a big throng out there. You’re going to see a whole bunch of jerseys. Indiana Fever, Iowa Hawkeyes. You should. It’s so funny. Should I just write a little bit so go or what? I take it right out. All right. Has an actual caddy and then has some celebrity caddies as mentioned. Teammates Lexi and Sophie. There’s Sophie number eight. Lexi Hull number 10. They’re jersey numbers. Last piece of advice. Aim right at it. I’d have to say she’s used to that. Okay. High standards even uh in the sport that’s not her usual stock and trade. Well, it’s a delight to welcome you here to Pelican Golf Club. And we can answer Anna’s question from earlier. How many times do you ever show a prom on a Wednesday? Been doing this a lot of years, counting last year, two. And here we are, Morgan watching some oneame wonders. Nelly and Caitlyn and both times it was because Caitlyn Clark was playing in the proam here at Pelican and and a special day definitely. I mean making golf really cool especially we talk a lot about growing the game, growing women’s golf. Um and to see a superstar like Caitlyn enjoying this game, grinding on this game like we all do. We all love this sport and to see somebody like her really elevate this tournament, the LPGA of course playing alongside a superstar in Nelly Corda. Um it’s just fun to see. Yeah, Caitlyn’s second season in the WNBA was cut short because of an injury and she said this morning that she felt the rush for the first time. This is her first athletic competition since July, so she was feeling it. Here’s Nelly’s’s third at the five. [Applause] Nelly, this is her personal playground. She’s won three of the last four years. never shot over par. Coach Jamie Mulligan, this might be just what she needs, Nelly. Yeah, just um you know, hasn’t won yet this season. A lot of talk on that, but you feel like I think about when she came back from injury and came here and won um towards the end of the season a couple years ago. It was really powerful for her and a special moment. And here again, I mean, she clearly has tremendous memories here and a lot of comfort around this golf course. She’s one of the best ever at chipping from Bermuda grass just like that as she showed off there short of seven. Green makes it just look easy. And this was the the precursor last year. Played with Caitlyn and then went on to win. Last year it was her seventh victory of the season. She hopes to get her first of the year this week. left. So the complete like it’s going to the left. It’s going. Yes. I’m saying you aim to. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. There you go. Carson Hosvar, NASCAR driver there. Another Yes, you can. Caddies. Yeah, she had tremendous speed on the previous hole on her putt there on six. It again. Okay, we were talking. Yeah, she looks a little flammished. All right, amidst the uh huge galleries down there is our own Tom Abbott. Good morning, Tom. Good morning, Grant. It is a beautiful morning out here. A little chilly by Florida standards, but uh the sun is shining. is going to warm up. Great crowd as we have seen watching this proam group of superstars. But I tell you what, I think they just want to be a bit louder. You know, they want to be more of a basketball crowd, but you don’t do that on the golf course. I feel like there’s an atmosphere of just holding back a little bit. People want to kind of shout and get into it, but that’s not really uh the done thing during uh a golf tournament. But I think it’s really what what’s great, Grant, is that fans get a chance to see these stars up close uh doing something obviously not Nelly, but the other uh Caitlyn Clark and the others walking around that they don’t normally do. So that’s that’s a unique situation, but also to get very close as you can at a golf tournament um to the players. And uh you know, not every golf shot is straight down the middle. A few of them might be closer to the gallery ropes than you might see from the pros. So, chance to get up close uh and uh see Caitlyn Clark. So, it’s it’s really nice out here, but I I think we need some more energy. We need some putts to go in. We need some noise. Get them fired up out there, Tom. Yeah. Trying to do a Mexican wave or something. Great look from above. So, you’ve got you know, almost an entire team out there for the Fever who made it to the semifinals WNBA playoffs before losing to the eventual world champion Las Vegas Aces. And of course, you’re going to see a bunch of 22s out there for Caitlyn Clark. I have to say, Grant, she’s probably used to performing in front of a larger crowd as there would be in an arena. But this is not her natural sport. This is not her her sport that of course has brought her to this position in fame and in fortune. But it’s impressive to see her holding her ground. She’s hit some really good shots. It has to be nerve-wracking uh doing go that takes an athlete out of their comfort zone. [Music] And as we mentioned, so competitive once to perform. They play back in Indiana at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Title sponsor of this event, the Anukica driven by Gainbridge. Dan Towers of Group 10001 in that ProAm group with Nelly and Caitlyn. Yeah, you talk about the crowds. I mean, she has brought out crowds like the WNBA has never seen, like college basketball has has never seen. Record TV ratings, of course, on NBC and USA Network coming up in 2026. And now Nelly, of course, last year turned the LPGA into front page news with her seven win season, including five in a row. Par for eight right down the pipe. plays a crooked stick in Indiana, Carmel area of Indianapolis. You’ve played a thousand proams. You don’t usually get crowds like this, do you? played in a bunch of celebrity proams as well, which are which are quite common, but nothing quite like this in terms of celebrity status in an LPGA proam. I mean, the number of friends who texted me today saying, “Are you really going to be on today covering this proam?” And how excited they were to watch and to see Caitlyn. And and you just think about, you know, as Tom said, it’s you can get really close to the players around a golf course, much closer than in an arena setting. This is like the ultimate courtside seat. And let’s take a look at this swing of Caitlyn. She does hit a pretty significant left to right shot. It’s a little bit over the top. wasn’t happy with that one. Didn’t quite turn through it. She knew it. Okay, the fun has begun and we’ll be here to follow along. Damon, back to you for now. All right, Grant and Morgan, thank you so much. It’s fun to watch the process of a couple of greats in Caitlyn Clark and Nelly Corder as the biggest name in the WNBA is mixing it up on the LPGA. Three hours ahead, Caitlyn getting some tips. Stay with us on a fun Wednesday. It’s golf day. Look at this. And then when you hit it. [Music] Yes. This is golf. Nice shot, honey. And this is golf’s supertore. Oh yeah. She’s out there alongside Nelly Corder. It’s such a special day. We’re here for the next over two and a half hours for following every move that Caitlyn Clark is going to make. And it’s been such a special time having Caitlyn at this event. She teed it up last year alongside Nelly in the prom. two athletes at the top of their game. So, let’s get back out there on site and rejoin Grant and Morgan. Okay, I like shot at the eighth. Here’s Nelly. Aean mentioned it’s a shamble format. You mentioned earlier that Jamie Mulligan, Nellie’s coach is out there, was you saw walking off that eighth te giving Caitlin a few tips. She says, “Can you make me hit it like that?” This is such a tough hole. The eighth green releases away from the players in the fairway. So tough to hold. And from what we’ve seen so far this week, these greens are quite speedy. Yeah. And you can see the layers and the headgear. It’s chilly. There’s Jamie looking on. Temperatures twice Caitlyn’s number this morning. I went out there for a walk. 44 Fahrenheit. I can tell you these Flidians are not used to it. She’s from Iowa. She’s tough. About the swing. Just some early thoughts. Yeah. I mean, you know, it I love that she grew up somewhat playing golf, but you can tell she just she keeps that right arm a little bit too far out. Doesn’t let it fold properly and ends up coming out and opening up her body a little bit. Doesn’t quite release her hands. That looked like that was what Jamie was trying to work with her on there a little bit as well. Back we go to Tom. Yeah, down here with Nelly Carter as we watch uh a couple of players having to hit their shots in here. Nelly, but we’ll chat. Um, I haven’t seen you for a few weeks. How have you been? I know you couldn’t play in the Hanwa Life Plus International Crown because of injury. How you doing? Yeah. Um, you know, took that time to really um, focus in on my neck injury. Um, and feel good, you know, happy to be out again. Was sad to miss um, the Hano Classic. I love competing in Korea. I feel like the fans are just so passionate. So, they’re so fun to play in front of, but happy to be back. Describe this atmosphere. Here we got two of the biggest sports stars in the world, yourself and Caitlyn Clark. Describe this atmosphere. It’s crazy. I mean, that first tea um was something out of a book almost, but it’s so fun. It’s It’s cool to see how many people she brings together to another sport. Um and it’s fun to hang out with her. She’s super cool and we saw each other actually last week at an outing. Um and yeah, I mean it’s nice to be alongside great. I mean, even her teammates are super fun. So, um, it’s been a blast so far. We’re going to we’re going to walk we walk and talk. Is that all right? As we head up to the green. Um, I’ve been noticing a lot of young women, girls in the gallery here that you don’t see as many at a regular tournament. How important is that? And what does that mean for uh not only the LPJ but for women’s sports going forward? I mean, to see that, that’s probably the best part of being out here, right? inspiring the next generation, seeing those girls look up to us and saying like they want to be in this exact spot in the next couple years because we were those girls, right? So, I think it’s very important for everyone to have role models. I had amazing role models. So, it’s it’s really cool to see and yeah, I just I hope they love the game of golf as much as you know I do. Um, what do you learn from Caitlyn Clark? Obviously, you said you’re at that outing. you have a chance to chat away from maybe the the cameras and the fans. What do you learn from a player like her? I think she’s just, you know, she enjoys everything that she does. Um, you know, it’s sometimes with there’s so many things that you can juggle, right? There’s so many things that we kind of have to do and for her to be so laidback and relaxed and have fun and just chitchat with everyone is is cool to see. Now, I understand you’ve got some some new shoes that you’ve developed. Is this is this going to be a gift for Caitlyn? Yeah. So, I gifted her some shoes before the round, so hopefully she uses them. She did say or she did ask me if they’re going to make her golf better, and I was like, “Guaranteed.” Did you sign them? Thanks. Thanks, Tom. Guys, Nelly, thank you. Caitlyn getting a pleasure. And look just how tough these greens are. Kaitlin, this won’t make you feel any better, but we see this even from LPGA pros. They struggle on these greens. These are some of the toughest of the year. Mentioned it earlier because of that Bermuda grass, especially chipping from the runoffs. Typically, you’re chipping into the grain makes it very difficult to get solid contact. You see a lot of players elect to use a putter from positions like this. Great job. That isn’t a walk in the park either [Applause] at the golf course as usual in perfect condition here at Pelican Golf Club. Those things that give the other players fits is one of the reasons why we’ve seen Nelly in contention. Yeah. week in week out here at this golf course almost every year. Here we go. Uhoh. Little short on the first one, a little aggressive on the second. Yeah, [Laughter] and Sophie said they would be more cheerleaders than Caddies. Whatever that is, but we talked about the onename wonders with Caitlyn and Nelly. Here’s another Anukica, the tournament host. She’s playing with Rachel Hec was just honored by Anukica. Okay. I mean, it’s like she never left. Tries to tries to stay sharp competing in a few events throughout the year. And we go to the green at the eighth. Ellie hit a good one in there. She’ll have a putt for birdie. By the way, those shoes um that Tom was talking about with Nelly, that was really exciting for Nelly. She said she worked with Nike for over a year on those shoes. And we’ll maybe see these throughout the week, but uh Caitlyn still got her shoes that she brought to the course, but she’ll now have the Nelly’s. There we go. They’ve got little charms on them, a tennis racket. Uh Leo for her birthday in July. and and she said working with people who do this for a living, the very best at what they do. And here’s Nelly, of course, one of the very best to have ever done it, the LPGA. She loved the whole process. And when she opened it up, she said, “I was blown away.” It’s a cool thing for somebody like Nelly. I mean, first of all, it shows her stature in the world of sports and and what a a prominent figure she is, of course, in women’s golf, but across the spectrum of women’s sports and sports in general. to have your own shoe with Nike. Not many athletes get that opportunity to be in those meetings and and and build something quite like that. So, it it’s an honor, but also just really neat to see her personality come out uh like you mentioned with the charms that are personal to her and uh and fun to have and give it to one of the greatest athletes in Caitlyn Clark. The PE they call it, the player exclusive. And that’s going to be released next week. So, you can Get your pair starting next Thursday. This is the par three ninth. See if you can see. There you go. Kind of got the double swoosh there. Overlay. Family first. She said tennis racket of course for her family. Good job, Kaitlyn. Got her attention. There’s a little room over there. I don’t know if it held up or not. There’s left to right that flag on 18 grand stand. You can see it go straight. Yes, I do. I think it’s a 37 shot. You just hit it. Great work there. be interesting having hearing Nelly talk a little bit about her injuries that she has struggled with. She mentioned a neck injury there in that interview with Tom. So, hasn’t played in a while, but hopefully healthy this week. Not in about uh month and a half. All right, more from Bair later. For now, back to Damon. All right, Grant. Caitlyn Clark looking to heat up at the Pelican. And stay with us, folks. Special guest coming up on the other side of the break. Kate Scott has been named the lead playby-play voice for the network coverage of the WNBA. Scott, who enters her fifth season as the TV playbyplay announcer for the Philadelphia 7, will anchor USA Network’s seasonl long coverage of the WNBA through the playoffs and finals. Scott recently made history as the first woman to announce an NFL regular season game for Westwood One radio, calling the Steelers Vikings matchup in Ireland. It’s part of the NFL’s international series. One of the most versatile play-by-play voices in all of sports, consistently broken ground for their pioneering efforts as a broadcaster in the NBA, NFL, and NHL and the preseason TV voice of the Seahawks since 2023. She also served as play-by-play voice for men’s and women’s basketball during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and was recently selected as the first woman to provide voiceover for the legendary Madden NFL video game series. Something my boys are very happy to find out. Kate joins us now. Fresh off that big 76ers win last night over the C’s, Justin Edwards with 31 points off the bench. And speaking of hoops, Caitlyn Clark, so many of us try to figure out the ingredients of what makes a star. Kate, Caitlyn Clark is a star in your mind. First at Iowa, in college, and now in the WNBA, and then everywhere she goes, as we’re seeing on the course this morning, right, we saw last year, fans follow because she just has that it factor that people want to be around. They want to try to soak up themselves. Yeah. You can’t teach it. You either have it or you don’t. Kate, I mean, Damon just read out your resume. You have broken new ground as a pioneering play-by-play voice across the NBA, soccer, and now of course the lead for the WNBA coverage on USA Network. You’ve had a front row seat to this history and this surge in women’s sport. How would you describe the movement that women’s sport is experiencing right now and how can we capitalize on that? Yeah, it’s so fun, Anna. I mean, I I broadcast now, but a long time ago, I played sports myself and never in a million years could have imagined women’s sport in general being where we are right now. Um, and I think the W has shown the other leagues, whether it’s the LPGA or women’s soccer, that the best way to do this and to grow your league is to allow all your players who are from all over the country, all over the world, to truly just be themselves, right? Because that is how you bring in more fans. if you don’t just try to be one type of player fitting into one little box because our fans are from all over the country and all over the world. Um, so I think really allowing players I love that we were just talking about Nella Nelly, right? And she’s got this new signature shoe that is really her. You see those great leopard pants that she’s wearing and fans are going to be attracted to that maybe that don’t even know the sport of golf, but wow, I really like her style and we saw that in the little sizzle reel from the W players coming in. Look at all the different things they’re wearing before they even

John, you are awesome!
Great our CC. I'm very happy for her.❤❤
In Florida and if CC is involved next year we will get tickets!
So glad you have this, enjoyed watching her, thank you Jon!!!
What a mess, hearing you shout over the audio begging for likes is soooo annoying. Shut it off hopefully the Golf Channel will re-air it so I can watch it without the interruptions… I'd kinda like to hear what the people being interviewed had to say.
Everybidy knows.aces winning the over fever was RIGGED
Lexie and Sophie so cute.
😅You got to understand liquidator it's nothing but the grown-ups out their❤ school is in😅😂 so no kids present
You doing this again tomorrow
Does this cover any of the other golfers or just Clark?
You are annoying
Act like a real person.
What is wrong with you? CC22 has been injured all season. No basketball & no golf practice. Zero. So all you see is she is not playing well? Anyone not picking up a club since last year is going to be rusty. I see someone playing exceptionally well after the year of battling health issues that she has had. Besides your bias & blindness for CC22's recovery from health issues thank you for the stream.
