Have you ever paid any attention to your thumb position with your low hand?
.
Having seen a number of different grips over the years, it has always intrigued me how differently people hold the club in their dominant hand thumb
.
The most important part of a grip is where the club sits in your hand so whether it is more in your palm or more in your fingers
.
You can place the grip correctly in between your fingers and palm while adopting any 3 of these thumb positions that I showed in the video
.
From what I have found, arguably having your thumb either extended too far down the grip or placed too far over the grip (where the tee will fall out) can restrict how well you release the club through impact
.
Potentially making it more likely to hit a right or a left miss
.
You wouldn’t think that this would make too much of a difference but what I have found in golf is that nothing does any harm in at least giving it a go and finding out for yourself whether it will work better for you or not if you thumb doesn’t sit on the grip and keeps a tee in place between it and your finger

First
I get your point but this is a dumb video as you vary how you opened your grip all three times
