Sand wedge bounce—measured by the leading edge’s height—prevents digging. Open the wedge for more bounce, close it for less. Simple golf tip for better sand play. #GolfTips #SandWedge #GolfSwing #ShortGame
The sand wedge has a feature called bounce. And bounce is measured as the degree to which the leading edge is higher than the back edge. And so if I set this down on a flat surface, a horizontal flat surface here, and take my shaft and hang it vertically, this leading edge will be a little bit higher than the back edge. Now that the degree to which that’s so is the degree of bounce on the wedge. Now you ask yourself, well, what does bounce do? Bounce prevents the club from digging. And the more you open your wedge, that is rotate it clockwise, the more bounce it has.
