Arkilab Architects’ designs, partnered with City Build’s delivery, seek to address the golf concept’s growing demand by bringing its total number of hitting bays up to 82, aiming to reduce waiting times and increase visitor capacity.

Trafford Council gave consent for the 11,300 sq ft expansion to Trafford Golf Centre in February 2025. The club within the Peel Waters-owned TraffordCity has now begun to enact the plans.

City Build will carry out the 11,300 sq ft expansion, which includes the addition of a three-storey 15-bay West Wing with a modern ‘lounge bay’ design, and the creation of a three-storey, six-bay East Wing, to be home to The Academy golf school.

A full refurbishment of existing bays and facilities to improve the drive, dine, and drink in-bay experience would also be undertaken.

Pete Styles, director of golf at Trafford Golf Centre, said: “This expansion represents a significant milestone in Trafford Golf Centre’s evolution.

“The enhancements not only respond to growing demand but also reflect our commitment to innovation, sustainability and providing an exceptional customer experience.

“This investment underlines our vision to position our venue as a hub for golfers, families and corporate groups alike.”
