Berkshire-based golf tech company Clere Golf‘s cutting-edge event management platform, ‘Clere Golf Hub’, has been honoured with the European Tour Group Sustainability Award for Technology and Innovation.

The award recognises the transformative impact the ‘Hub’ has had on how professional golf tournaments are planned and delivered — enabling more efficient, collaborative, and environmentally sustainable event operations across the globe.

Developed entirely in-house, the ‘Hub’ has become an essential digital tool for the DP World Tour and other major golf events, including the Ryder Cup and the Solheim Cup. The platform combines centralised coordination, immersive 3D visualisation, and accurate remote planning to help teams work smarter while significantly reducing travel, material waste, and carbon emissions.

“We’re incredibly proud to receive this recognition from the DP World Tour,” said Gareth Grewcock, Technical Director at Clere Golf. “From day one, the ‘HUB’ was designed to solve real operational challenges — but its sustainability benefits have proven just as powerful. By enabling remote collaboration and precise resource management, it’s helping reshape how golf events are delivered worldwide.”

Key sustainability outcomes of The Clere Golf HUB include:

Reduced travel through remote collaboration tools that minimise the need for site visits.

Smarter logistics that ensure materials are delivered efficiently, reducing waste and transport emissions.

Targeted water management via NDVI and agronomic data integration for sustainable turf care.

Immersive 3D visualisation that replicates on-site experiences without the environmental cost.

The platform’s success stems from close collaboration with DP World Tour operations teams, ensuring seamless integration into existing workflows whilst driving measurable reductions in environmental impact.

“This award reflects the shared commitment between Clere Golf and the DP World Tour to embed sustainability into every stage of event planning,” added Gareth. “We’re thrilled to see technology driving meaningful change in how the game of golf approaches environmental responsibility.”

The European Tour Group Sustainability Awards celebrate organisations and initiatives that lead by example in advancing sustainability across professional golf. Winning in the ‘Technology and Innovation’ category highlights Clere Golf’s continued innovation and leadership in sustainable sports event management.

Beyond major events, the Clere Golf HUB is also a powerful tool for golf club managers seeking to streamline day-to-day course operations. By providing a single, centralised home for all course-related data — from agronomic insights and mapping to historical records, maintenance activity, and forward-planning documentation — the ‘HUB’ enables clubs to manage their assets with greater accuracy, transparency, and long-term continuity. This unified approach not only improves operational efficiency but also supports more informed decision-making, helping clubs protect, plan, and enhance their course for the future.
