This one might be a little niche, but it has been highly requested from a few followers. I have ten golf balls total today for you, 5 of the best tested golf balls from the Value Tour line. These golf balls combine great value with urethane covers for optimal feel and spin at a price that won’t break the bank.

The other 5 are my favorite 3 piece models that are non urethane. Suryln and Ionomer have a firmer feel and a tougher cover for increased ball speed and durability.

1:51 Top 5 Non Urethane Balls
5:32 Top Urethane Value Tour

This has been requested by quite a few of you. And today I am giving you my top five non-urethane three-piece golf balls or higher. And I’m also going to go ahead and add a little bit in there as well. I’m going to add my five best urethane three-piece models or better of the Value Tour line. Let’s go ahead and dive right in. [Music] As always, thank you so much to everyone who supports the channel. You guys are the best. This is the best time of the year for Golf Ball Addict. If you want to support this channel further, it’s just a dollar a month. That’s what the plans start at to become a member of this channel. And it just helps me provide even more. The reason I keep it that low is because most people wouldn’t even notice a dollar out of their account every month. And so it and if everyone if all 20,000 subscribers did that or even if a thousand did it, it would really help out the channel a lot. So thank you to everyone who does that. And also just liking, commenting, subscribing, all the free stuff really helps, too. Thank you so much. So we are going to go five non-urethane, five urethane. We’ll go ahead and start with the non-urethane. I’ve tested over 120 golf balls this year. Now listen, some of you might be thinking, well, why are you doing non-urethane? Like isn’t Serin and ionomer not as good? No, that’s actually kind of a fallacy. I completely disagree with. I have tested golf balls for 5 years and the amount of golf balls I’ve tested that are not urethane that light up the scoreboard, lower scores, change golfing lives. It would probably blow your mind. It really would. Now, I’m not saying urethane’s bad. U’s great. But I’m just saying this notion that some people still think you can’t play ionr. The technology is improved and some of these ionomer and sirland golf balls are really top of the line. And we’re going to see that showcased in here. Let’s go ahead and start at number five. These are in no particular order. And starting with we are going to go ahead and talk about my most recent tested one. And that is the Mazuno RB Max. This has been requested by so many people to have reviewed over the last few weeks and I finally just tested it yesterday and it’s really solid. Now, it’s not going to stop on a green and it’s not designed to. In fact, if you look at Mizuno’s website, they’re very clear. It’s a distance golf ball. It’s supposed to have penetrating flight. And you know what? That’s exactly what it does. It had one of the best driver numbers of the year when it came to total distance. And that’s just because the launch angle was optimal. Really had that penetrating fly. And what I love about it is they use their dimple technology that they use on their tour balls on this one for $30 a dozen. It’s definitely one worth checking out if you’re looking for a little extra distance off the tea. Next up, we are going with the Max Fly Trifly. This has been a favorite from this year, and no, it’s not going to win any distance awards, uh, but it’s really reasonably priced. It’s around that $30 a dozen range, but you can actually buy them in bulk and get them way cheaper than that. Uh, they come with really cool designs this year, which has been really fun as well. Uh, but what I really like about it is it’s nice and soft. It’s very accurate. It’s very forgiving. Um, it’s actually very consistent. A lot of people have played it and really seemed to enjoy it. Some people don’t like the really soft, squishy feel, but if you can get past that, if you’re like a slower swinger, it’s actually a really good model and it has a lot of greenside stopping power despite the fact that it’s not your thing. There are still people that are like, “Well, if it’s not urine, how does it check up?” This one actually checks up really well. So, it’s definitely worth checking out. The next one we have is the Volulvvic Vista 3. So, you know, Volv actually makes a bunch of different, you know, Surlin or Ion or three-piece golf balls. This one sits right around $29.99 to $35 a dozen. But what I really like about this one is it comes with a 360 alignment tool. Um, this is what I called Rainbow Road when I actually did the review. And it was actually really cool. It was fun. It was easy. If you’re a beginner golfer who’s kind of getting to that intermediate stage and you like a good alignment tool, this one’s really fun. It’s fun to watch the colors when it rolls. It’s it’s a fun golf ball to play. Um, no, it won’t light up the scoreboard, but it’s actually really solid. It’s above average. It gets the job done, and you know, it just adds a little bit of uniqueness to your game, which is nice. Next up, we have the Snyder Speed. Now, this golf ball, again, out of the Schneider lineup, maybe not the best. Um, it definitely was on the bottom half of it, but that still actually has a high bar, believe it or not, because the Snyder golf balls tested really, really well. The Snyder Speed is one of those golf balls that if you need a little extra distance, it’s not about stopping on the green. It’s not about launching high, it’s got a low penetrating flight. It reminds me a lot of the Mazuno RB Max. Uh, but just kind of from the German perspective, it’s a German company, so you know, kind of the European balls tend to usually fly a little lower and have a little bit more firmness to them. Definitely the case here. Uh, so definitely a golf ball worth checking out. It’s a little more on the expensive side, but you do get a lot of spin considering it’s not a urethane golf ball. So, there is that. And last, but not least, I am actually not afraid to say this, the Srixen Ult is the best out of this bunch, and it’s not close. Uh, the Stricksen Ult this year, I know there’s an an issue with durability. I know some of you have said you can’t get through a round with it. You can only get through 15 16 holes. Um, that’s kind of where I’m at, too. I can get about through 14, 15. But if you’re someone who loses a few golf balls around and that’s irrelevant to you, there is no better performing Sirland Ionomer three-piece golf ball on the market this year. This golf ball explodes off the driver. It explodes off the irons. It explodes off any club you have in your bag. I mean, even the putter, to be honest with you, it comes off pretty hot on there, too. Uh, but what I really love about it is not only do you get that explosiveness, you get some of the best accuracy and this and the best distance control I’ve seen all year. Again, unequivocally, it is the best out of this bunch by far. That is the top five Sirin Ionomer models. Now, let’s get into my top five favorite urethane value tour. Now, value tour can mean, you know, like your your tour response, your ERC soft, your direct to consumer models, your vice, that kind of thing, right? They’re not 50 60 a dozen. They’re not played on tour. They’re not, you know, sponsoring people really. It’s about either influencers, you know what I mean? Come on, let’s dive right in. All right, number five. Again, in no particular order, we’re going to start with the Tour Edge Exotics. And the reason I wanted to mention this one first is because it was a complete surprise this year. I just tested it about a month ago, right when it came out. U you know, Gabe from Let’s Play Through was kind enough to send them to me. And thank goodness he did because this golf ball performed. I mean, it didn’t just perform. I mean, it didn’t it didn’t perform at the top of anything, but it was just consistently great throughout, right? It was just consistently great. The greenside chipping was so much fun. The putting was fun. Uh, this is a golf ball I would play on the course. And considering this is Tour Edge’s first attempt at it, you got to give them some credit. That’s really hard to do. Next up, we are going with the Sugar Pure. Now, Sugar at one time was the number one golf ball on this channel a few years ago. Our first top 100, they got the top spot. Unfortunately, since then, because of, you know, the golf ball fire and just, you know, other tariff issues and and you name it, just all kinds of stuff. They’ve had trouble getting stock. They were out of stock for over a year. It’s been a really uphill battle for them. But this year, they dropped some new golf balls. They dropped a two-piece, another three-piece, a new variation of their Pure model, and then a four-piece. And I’ll be real with you, the two and four piece, I’m not even going to talk about. The three-piece though is the real deal. This golf ball had explosiveness off the driver. It’s one of the best golf balls I’ve tested this year when it comes to driver performance. And with the irons, it’s not too shabby either. It’s definitely one of my favorites when it comes to the value tour line. This, of course, being in the direct to consumer part of it. Next up, we have the Legato LTX3085. And it’s just impossible not to mention this golf ball because uh it’s 29.99 a dozen retail for three-piece urethane. And it performs. It was top 20 last year. It’s going to be really high on a top 100 this year. It performs great. It has a cult following. Uh they they they advertise well. They do these sales on Amazon Prime Day and stuff where it’s like $19.99 a dozen. It’s so easy that if you use that golf ball and even if you’re mostly satisfied with it, it’s easy to be that guy because why would you chase an extra two yards for $40 a dozen more when for 19 to 20 to $30 a dozen you can get what the Legato gives you? It’s truly incredible. If you haven’t seen that review, definitely check it out. Next up, we have the Vice Pro. And you know, yeah, I mean, look, Vice has had its ups and downs over the last year for me. Uh, but it’s still an excellent model. They still come out with some of the best designs. Right now, they’re in their Black Friday sale. And like, look, this is the new cotton candy. Tell me this isn’t sick. I mean, this is just Oh, I love that. I love the designs. I love the cool personality vibe they add to it. If you buy in bulk, you can always get them way cheaper. You can get them down to like 33 a dozen. With Black Friday, I think it’s like 30 a dozen you can get them down to. Vice still does. so many things well and the Pro model in particular is my favorite because it might not be the most forgiving model, but overall as far as a performance-wise with the average swing, it did pretty well and I enjoy it. And last but not least, the Trust Bison Power Series. You can actually either do the V or the X, I don’t care. Either one’s fine. Um, both of these golf balls are from $30 to $40 a dozen. And I’ll just be real with you. I I’m I’m really shocked at how they’ve performed. I’ve taken them on the course. I’ve had people test them. I’ve talked to people in emails. I’ve done comments. Um, there’s not a lot of negatives. A lot of you really seem to enjoy these golf balls and for good reason. They perform really well. The the metrics are great. Uh, they have a uniqueness to them. They use that glittery powder coat that isn’t obnoxious, but it helps you see your ball better. Has a great alignment tool. It just there’s something about looking at these golf balls that it just screams kind of like personality and boldness and they perform. And when you add those two things together, for me especially, you guys know I love that. It’s awesome. And these golf balls will do really well this year. I’m super impressed with them. And again, the feedback’s just been phenomenal. So, that is my top five non-urethane as well as my urethane in the Value Tour line. If you’re looking to, you know, if you’re you’re a mid handicap and you’re kind of looking to upgrade, you’ve been playing a two-piece for a while, you want to upgrade, but you’re not quite ready for a tour ball because those things are punishing, they’re unforgiving, these are some golf balls that I’ve mentioned today that might be a stepping stone to kind of get you and see if you’re ready for that. So, I hope this helped. As always, keep watching, keep saving, keep learning. I’ll see you soon.

  1. Some of us are old enough to remember adverts in golf ball magazines where Surlyn was used as a selling point and was used on premium models! There was also a whisper that went around to “those in the know” ( possibly a golf urban myth) that for par 3 and irons, you used a balata ball and for maximum distance on par 4’s & 5’s when using a wood off the tee you hit a Surlyn ball to maximise distance!

  2. Good list of solid options. Glad to see the RB Max get some love. Stops for me. Similar to others. That distance though is great. Thanks again. LFT top 100

  3. For me the best value ball in urethane is still the Maxfli Tour and Tour X, especially the Tour X in yellow. I also like the Tour S, all balls in that line play well.

  4. I've played and liked the Ultispeed, Members Mark, Topflite XL Distance and Control and the Trifli and all stop fine for me some even spinning back. Would i really gain anything by going to the Maxfli Tour balls? I feel like my chipping is pretty poor, with generally too much run out with all of these balls, but honestly I'm pretty bad, just guessing less than 20% up/downs.

Is that because my full swings generate backswing while chips too slow to get spin?

  5. I love the ultispeed, but I've started gaming the z star line as I was looking for more spin around the greens, and I've been able to get my slice under control

  6. I have always played whatever ball I found on the course. You have convinced me that it affects the ball flight and action on the green. Thank you

  7. would love to see the best high performing balls – the balls that have the farthest distance and best spin but maybe doesn't have the accuracy, durability, or some other downfall 🙏

  8. I'm surprised the Wilson Triad didn't make this list. I haven't tried the new 2025 model yet, despite having a couple boxes in my garage but I'll get to em. I know they're really good.

  9. If it's value, I don't see how the Sam's and Kirkland balls don't make the list. If you buy them in the store, you get a 3 pc urethane ball for a little over $1/ball.

  10. Huge fan of the channel. Had such a different experience with the Maxfli Trifli. It felt like I was putting and chipping a rock. The Softfli was a total different experience though. Same thought with the Srixon Ultispeed, but love the Softfeel.
