Brooks Koepka’s Winning Highlights | 2019 WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational

now a couple little flares up the tee here peter let’s take a look early to see where his tendencies are you like that one peter he liked it i think they like it heard somebody clap well yeah it’s going to be about 10 yards past rory and they’re both right on the sprinkler line 349 yards to the water so i think he’s gonna try and get a little bit of spin on this and try to control the roll out you can see the way he addresses that that pitch shot the same way he does with his putter he puts the ball on the toe and then he hits it in the middle that basically reminds him to go ahead and close the toe down that was quite apparent there on that chip and there’s enough guys now whoever have a chance to do that olivia’s bogey this whole twice got one back there there we go there we go yeah in the water twice first two days of actually of decent shots it’s a pretty narrow target that’s why that one just peel it off the camera tower nice high one yeah he set up well left and just hit a slight push cut delightful shot there from capco back to five birdie but number one in the fedex cup number one in the world rankings just a hint of right to left and he takes the lead here good start for kepker birdied the hole you should birdie that third but that’s a bonus at five and you gotta hit your shot and then run or put a helmet on because there he comes only going with 3 wood as this is substantially downwind today yeah they get the ball in the fairway here peter they’re just killing this hole today brooks kapka now he’s got 137 also a gap wedge and he’s kind of come out of this and kind of flailed it out to the right this couple of really below average web shots for those guys technology there carried that ball about 30 feet to the right of the hole and now peter what do we got here on this little low 25 footer yeah it might try to get away a little bit to the left and you got a pretty good idea oh man right now why didn’t you get a really good idea there where he addresses that ball on the toe and then hits it in the middle hits it like a little ping-pong shot he says you know like he likes to come up and give it that little extra bit of top spin yeah brook’s ready to play 140. well when it’s only 140. just went with a baby nine iron interesting club selection there it’s gonna stop a little bit of breeze swirling right now yeah that’s capcom barely similar to rory’s just a little bit shorter sorry gary it wasn’t much of a dent all right let’s see if somebody get it back our second hardest rank hold on the golf course today peter costas with his pin placement i don’t think anybody’s i mean you got four steps beyond the flag and four steps to the left of the flag well it looks like it should break a considerable amount to the left but the green spoke says not so much so somewhere in between yeah okay but it’s going left oh we got it there he kind of turned out a good putt really good putt seems to have that distance down nicely with with the flat iron to brooks two shot lady if you can knock this one in got a good blunt shot of this one right in the middle ron tapped his in as did brooks kepka he will wander off not too far away to the ninth t let’s get to the t the knight two shot lead for capcom well another solid tee shot here on a perfect line just find the short grass get it down the bottom of the hill even better and really well done 9th hole a sharp dog leg right water to the left water in front of the green and number one this week on the greens question in if all these guys basically to a man have more issues with slow greens then why are we speeding them up to challenge them perhaps at 10. it’s been a long way peter yeah but it’s uh a three wood for brooks no room for the driver no it’s 300 max peter that’s all they need well it just needs temperatures that’s easy to do with a three wooden yeah that’s long that’s gonna get to the edge of the fairway it’s gone through the little downhill lie just a gap wedge let me see what difference of fade in the draw makes peter let’s see that sits down rolling with the draw and it released it flew and released and the fade just plugs [Music] is not afraid to stand on your throat to 15 under par 400 for the day 155 yards pitching wedge in hand with the three-shot lead middle of the green it’d be just fine i don’t think that’s intentional that one to be honest a little bit too far left oh yeah i think he wanted still wanted to cut it this would get my heart beat up but not this young man i think he was trying to hold it that’s pretty good you can hear that click when he hit it it’s coming down a little wire in the aon risk reward challenge let’s go to 13. well he’s not waiting at all but the players have just hit their second shots ahead of him yeah he doesn’t mess around as i said before peter i think they were barely out of range let’s go to 13. just as the group in front walked off the green they’re set to go ready to play from 143 just a pitching wedge for brooks cut this on a terrific line if it’s the right distance good safe shot all right peter costas what are you gonna do with this one it’s gonna be an eight iron it’s gonna be left toward that bunker and short we’ll wait and see no problem he just doesn’t let too much change his emotions did he nothing flatline deadline the smart that was a bailout use the bank oh that’s good he’s done it again just like he did at 14. [Applause] can’t believe he took the flag out cannot believe it took the flag out where that thing rammed at the left side of the hole three bars his first three [Music] rounds likes it pick the tee up quickly and that is right in the center of the fairway one could say that’s in the mayor’s office [Music] that is for sure only player ranked number one in fedex cup standings to win event three times if he hasn’t made all of these today he’s hit the edge for sure they made two or three very good ones for par [Music] and it’s another one [Applause] brooks kepca takes a three-shot lead to the 18th gary player cup is going to belong to him because he’s the best in the game brooks kepka is the world golf champion at the fedex st jude invitational [Applause] go ahead and amanda all yours all right brooks you know what it means to win on the biggest stages in golf you are now a world golf champion what does that mean to you oh it’s so special um everything st jude here fedex here it’s i mean it gives me chills even thinking about it it’s it’s been one of my favorite stops on tour for four or five years now and uh to win here this um this is really special to me what you’ve locked up this week is pretty remarkable number one spot in the fedex cup standings you’re still going to be number one in the world you just claimed the top spot in the wyndham rewards and probably winning the aeon risk reward challenge how do you put that much success in so much consistency in perspective to us mortals uh i have no idea um it’s it’s one of those things you know i’ve been playing so well as of late and everything just kind of comes if you just let it happen and just stay patient and you know if if you keep playing well and putting yourself in contention a lot of good things will happen you’ve been loyal to this tournament you just spoke to what it means to you as saint jude reid was here to greet you on the green what does it mean to you to know what this tournament stands for and how it aligns with what you’ve what you stand for as well yeah no i mean i’ve taken a trip to the hospital and it changed my life i think anybody that has the opportunity should go you see these kids and they’re just struggling struggling for their lives and you know it really touches your heart and it makes you put everything in perspective how little golf matters how little anything and how much you know we need we didn’t take it for granted unbelievable perspective another huge win for you brook scott congratulations jim walk around the clubhouse here tpc south wind if you want to watch another european tour video click here if you want to subscribe click here

  1. I think if Rory had of birdied the third hole, it would have been a different found for him. But what a player Brooks is, never took the foot off the gas! Well done sir.

  2. Wow, Brooks Koepka's silent intensity is utterly ruthless! It must be like being tackled by Willy John McBride….after an hour you remember your name….after 2 hours you remember that you were playing Rugby/Golf….and then after 3 hours you start crying and calling for your mammie!!!!!

  3. Rory again not performing I know he's got good form but he never appears to produce when it's on the line brookes was 2/1 yesterday in hindsight mortgage on it

  4. Brooks has become also peoples cham for sure for many reasons. He plays fast, has good opinions incl. not speculating and is always one of the very first player to congratulate the winner in case hes not winning by himself ie. lots of respectable features and human behavior. ✌️😊

  5. “Cause he’s the best in the game” 💪🏻 Gamebreaker!! Wakes up in beast mode
