This is great. I don’t need a software engineer, but I did hire a guy once for an unrelated job because of the amazing things he could do on the course. Turns out he was good at other stuff, too.

I was literally a day away from standing outside the tech area in Denver with a sign that read, “IT Pro needs work. Have resume.”
The sign was made, resumes printed, and I was ready to go.
I finally got a call back and hired for a job with shit pay and no benefits, but I was hungry.
When I was tired of getting screwed, I became a union electrician, and made more a year in 4 years than I ever did in the 15 I was in IT.
I hope you have better luck than I did.
