What can I do differently! Short game and putting is as it should be but for some reason I can’t keep this move consistent enough. 1.6hcp reach out with advice

The main issue is your setup-you’re a bit too upright at address. That tilt can make you rise in the backswing and push the club out, which can lead to inconsistent contact and even a little slice. Tip: set up with a touch more forward tilt so your spine leans toward the target and your weight sits a bit more over the balls of your feet. Keep your wrists relaxed and feel the clubhead stay a hair behind your hands through the swing. Your short game and putting look solid, so fixing this setup should help your wedges stay more consistent.

A lot of good stuff in that swing. As the previous person said, it would be good to see your knees further flexed placing them more over your toes.

  3. Dude, nice swing. Good balance, good timing.
When you plates, and I assume you’re talking about score. Hit the short game hard. A fellow pro once told me, ‘when you’re confident that you can get it up and down, from anywhere you miss the green, then you’ve got a short game.’
    Good luck.

  4. Underrated thing that nobody ever talks about is hit the gym and work on flexibility.

It’s harder to figure out what to work on when you become lower handicap. Could try the Butch Harmon method of more width. I think you cut off your upper body rotation early going back, then get narrow, and the club drops under the line on the way down closer to impact. Probably scorches when it’s hot both distance and accuracy but when you’re not timing it or you get under the gun then consistency drops. Everyone’s short game can improve. Nobody gets up and down 100% and makes every single putt every round. You have a good game. Don’t quit.
