Every year there’s certain trends with golf clubs. In years past you’ve seen the Jailbird Versa take the world by storm, and L.A.B. Golf, but what does Master Fitter Kevin Kraft will happen in 2025?

Kevin Craft Master Club fitter from our Columbia store we saw a bunch of new trends in 2024 in terms of golf equipment what do you think will happen in 2025 well my guess is we’re going to continue to see more and more High lofted Fairway woods and hybrids becoming more and more popular did you see the video with Freddy Couples going through his bag I mean who hits it better than Freddy Couples and he’s got a six hybrid in his bag Okay cool so I mean Freddy Couples making head covers cool right I mean you can see more bags full of head covers but that’s golf is hard and if a higher lofted hybrid makes your life easier and you get it ball up in the air better by all means let’s go that route if you have a hard time getting the ball in the air off the deck with longer clubs and a nine wood works for you let’s do that you know there’s 11 Woods out there there’s all kinds of options that we can go to so the higher lofted clubs which have become so popular over the last couple years I think it’s going to push even further

  1. I've always been a fan of hybrids and Freddy's bag inspired me to go even deeper. I remember that KJ Choi had like a 5 or 6 hybrid in his bag back in the day, and he's possibly the strongest golfer of all time. So if one of the best ball strikers ever and the strongest golfer ever aren't scared of headcovers, amatures that are too proud to put multiple hybrids in their bag are either delusional or at least doing themselves a disservice. I'm going one more fairway wood than Freddy and one more hybrid, so my longest iron will be my 9 iron at the beginning of this coming season.
