Following improvements to enhance safety, accessibility and the overall golf experience, the Ala Wai Golf Course Driving Range — the only driving range in urban Honolulu — will open to the public on Saturday, Nov. 15, according to the city’s Department of Enterprise Services Golf Course Division.
The improvements were completed as part of a new partnership between the City and County of Honolulu and Hawaii Golf Advisors.
“We’re excited to reopen the Ala Wai driving range and are looking forward to welcoming back all the golfers,” said Ed Kageyama, owner and founder of Hawaii Golf Advisors, in a release.
Director of Enterprise Services Dita Holifield stated, “Our collaboration with Hawaii Golf Advisors marks an exciting new chapter for the Golf Division. These updates make the facility safer and more enjoyable for everyone in our community.”
Refurbishments to the driving range include new turf, irrigation systems repairs and the installation of all new hitting mats, stall dividers and range balls.
Hours for the driving range are 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. with the following pricing:
Small bucket (35 balls), $10
Large bucket (70 balls), $15
Rental clubs for $45
