The golf world lost a superstar last week. Golf course architect Pete Dye died at age 94. If there was a Mount Rushmore for golf course architects, Dye would be on it.

His courses live in golf championship history, and his design at Bulle Rock in Maryland is one of the best free-standing daily fee courses in the country. Pete may be gone … but he is definitely not forgotten.
