Returning this December with an exciting new twist, the event will again showcase golf in a fast-paced and entertaining format. TVNZ will continue to hold exclusive broadcast rights in New Zealand, with coverage on TVNZ 1 and TVNZ+.
The 2025 edition will see Fox welcome one of his close friends from the international golf circuit to New Zealand to take on an all-star field of competitors drawn from across the country’s sporting and media landscape.
“I’m stoked that Chasing the Fox will be available for fans across the Tasman through Fox Sports,” Fox said. “I’ve been lucky to spend a lot of time playing in Australia, and the support I get there means a lot. This event is all about showing golf in a new light – fun, fast, and competitive – and having Fox Sports come on board helps us share that energy with even more fans.”
Set for Friday, 12 December at Royal Auckland and Grange Golf Club, Mānuka Phuel Chasing the Fox blends elite sport with music, culture and entertainment, connecting new and loyal audiences to the game while redefining how golf can be experienced.
The format features a six-hole showdown – Ryan Fox and his guest taking on the “best of the rest.” A unique field made up of top names from New Zealand’s sporting teams and media will play in groups of three, challenging Fox on his home turf. The lowest score wins, and if there’s a tie, it all comes down to a dramatic playoff on the final party hole.
