This describes Palter to a tea. He’s not wired right. And if you’re watching, you know it. Burkdale 2008. So Palter’s on the last hall of the tournament. 15 foot for par. He’s tied for the lead with Harrington. But Harrington’s got several holes to blur and he’s blowing 5050 miles an hour. Borderline unplayable. So Paula thinks this is it. It’s his big moment. He’s with his bloody Union Jack trousers on. No doubt. He’s got Teddy Funniest Caddy on tour. So he’s got this 15 foot for par and he’s looked to the back of the green. Oi, tell come here. Tell is having a at the back of the game. He’s like, I don’t believe it. He ain’t asked me to read one P in 71. Now he’s got this. I’m coming, PZ. And as he’s walking in, Paul sees him coming in out of the corner of his eye. Says, stop there, Teddy. Teddy goes, what? Bearing in mind, this is the biggest career seen from Yeah, it’s true story. True story. So he says, “You know, Tel,” he says, “you remember when you were like 12 or 13 years old as a junior and you’re on the putting green outside the clubhouse back at your home golf club with your little shorts on and you’re saying to yourself, “This is for the open. This is for the open.” to yourself as you’re putting Terry’s going, “Yeah, we’ve all done that.” He said, “Well, yeah, this is for the open now. Piss off.” And he rolled it straight in. Now that is not wired right, but that’s how he works. What the hell? The selfbelief of that man was incredible. And he played seven, seven Ryder Cups. group. You never lost a singles, did

  1. i got to follow him monday morning for the singapore open defense in 2010 after they got rained out sunday. Only a few holes left, Adam Scott was leading, Ian was maybe a couple of shots back with 3 holes to play, 16th was an automatic lay-up hole. Well… Ian wasn't there to secure 2nd place and took his driver out! It didn't work out but respect for the competitor not caring about the money and only playing for the win.

  2. Then Pádraig blitzed the last few. I do wish Poulter had nicked a major to be honest, unplayable on his Ryder Cup form

  3. Im a bit gutted with the current state of the Ryder Cup exiles. Ian Poulter was a warrior for Europe, GMac would have been a perfect captain for Adare Manor… Donald is close to, if not the best RC captain we've ever had, but he can't keep doing it forever…
