I cannot even explain how excited I am to marry the chick that I have had the hots for that. Uh yes, thank you. Thank you. No, I have I have literally eyed her since seventh grade and uh it is a dream come true to get to marry this woman. [Music] First time I ever heard Hayden’s name was during a beach trip when Cat disappeared in us. We found her at 2 a.m. sitting on the sand happily eating Taco Bell on the phone with Hayden. At that time, he was just the name, but obviously he was very important to her. I just want to say that I was an integral part of Catherine and Hayden getting reconnected. And when Laura saw you a couple of years ago at Sinko with your young life boys, she instinctively and enthusiastically said, “Catherine’s coming over for Easter. hoping you would take the hint and you did. Years later, Hayden came back into Cat’s life. At this time, it was just different. There’s a steady calm about Hayden that brings to Cat’s wild card energy that just fits perfectly. We just love you, Hayden. I prayed every single day of Catherine’s life about who she’s going to marry. And I just know from the Lord that it’s you. And I’m I’m just thankful for you. It’s clear how God has been so present in their story. The timing, the growth, and in the way they show for one another with patience, love, and faith. Hayden, thank you for truly loving Cat and seeing her exactly who she is. You’ve obviously added something very, very special to her life. And to all of us who love her, that means the entire world. [Applause] [Music] Catherine, you say hi. as a baby. Catherine, I I mean this I don’t think I remember her crying or throwing a fit. You were such a happy baby and you’re like my shadow everywhere I was. [Music] Oh my god. Oh my gosh. There is a sweetness and depth to you that doesn’t take long to see. Hayden, you are incredibly hardworking and humble. You’re the kind of person that people count on and gravitate to and will show up when others don’t. Your mom and dad have done an unbelievable job with you and Taylor. Aiden has this quiet ability to make everyone around him better. His maturity and resilience rubs off on people around him and that’s why he’s so deeply loved by so many and I know I can speak for so many of us here and say that you truly been a blessing in our life. We all need to have role models in life and Hayden is a fine one to have. You know they say you have like foxhole guys. If you were in a war and you were digging a trench like who would you want there by your side if you were fighting? And I think like probably every single one of us would say Hayden Fussle. Hayden, I don’t know where I’d be without you. I remember when dad died and I looked at you and I said, “You’re going to have to step up. You’re going to have to be the man.” And you did that. And that’s what everyone has expressed tonight. And I wish dad was here so bad. But he is. And I’m just so proud of you. And I love you all so deeply. from the I just want to come up here and affirm you and the man that I have gotten to see and just your love for people and how deeply deeply you care and sacrifice and I’m just in awe of you every day Hayden and just how you take hardship. One thing that I hear from you like if I if anyone’s going to take this it’s going to be me. Like I’m glad that I’m the one who’s taking this on and that is who you are. Just somebody who just will lay down your life for others. And I just love you. I really love you. [Music] I remember telling one of my friends that like he was older and married and asked him I was like when did you know you know he was like oh dude I knew immediately. It’s like I knew on the first date, just when I first looked at her, I was telling him that I was like, “Man, there was only one girl [Music] that ever did that to me. That was Cat. [Music] Heat up [Applause] here. God, you look so beautiful. [Music] Dear Hayden, as we I’m already going to cry. As we stand before each other today, I know it is not by accident. It is not by fate. And this was not an act of the universe. This heavenly day is a gift from the Lord. For it was him who has been weaving our love for one another in the background of our lives since the day we met 14 years ago. Who gave this woman to be married to this man? Her mother and I. across my skies. I thought you were an angel. Hayden, from this day forward, I vow to love you recklessly with patience, persistence, and devotion. I vow to ground myself in Christ and to always point you to the truth. I vow to cherish you and to always remember the gift of our marriage. But I’ve been searching for something. It’s been so long. I love you, Hidden Reno Fussel. And this is only the beginning. See you soon, my love. Cat. You’ve been a huge part of our year. And I get to have you as a sister starting tomorrow. And I’m just so thankful that it’s you. She was my first friend, my first mentor, my first teacher, my first role model. She’s steady, loyal, and always in your corner. I’m so happy for you and a lifetime of good loving ahead of you. It’s been a joy watching you both grow up, not just individually, but toward each other with care and intention. I can’t wait to see your journey unfold. Cheers to growing up and growing old together. I love you both. [Music] I’m lucky guy. I just never thought that I would get to be that guy. Never thought I could be so lucky. And I am so excited to marry her. I’m so excited for our life together and for everything that we’re going to go through together. Being in her life since middle school, you know that your future is full of finding her awake on the couch after all nighters, of laughing at her absurd spellings and sayings. But you also know that what you’re getting is a future where everything will be beautiful and where no detail will be left unturned. [Music] Hayden, I don’t think you know how cool I think you are. I don’t think you know that my friends know you as Mr. kingdom come. But I think you’re the perfect person to lead my sister. Um, and I love you both very much. I’m literally thinking about right now. [Music] [Music] We’ve heard some beautiful things tonight about Hayden. Hayden’s loyal. He’s steadfast. He’s smart. But my favorite thing about Hayden is his laugh. I love Hayden’s laugh. If you get him going just a little bit, he kind of pulls his chin back and he’s like, you know, and then the next level, you get him high pitch and he’s like, and then and then if you really nail it, it’s nonverbal and tears. It’s just tears. Tears start flowing. I swear. Then Catherine, I know that you are the one for him because you make him laugh more than anyone else I know.
