In this video, we take a look at the new taylormade qi4d drivers for 2026 which look to be replacing the current qi35 models. They have only just hit the USGA conforming list so there isn’t that much info outside of whats available on there just yet but we can get a pretty good idea from the images. What do you think of the new range?

So, it’s now officially the season of seeing new drivers on the USGA conforming list and having to speculate for the next month or so on what the actual story is behind these new drivers. To kick things off, we have a few new models from Tailade with the Qi4D range. This is basically just going to be a direct replacement from the Qi35 range and a new head from Ping as well with a G440K model. That’s likely just going to be to replace the G430K. Ping run on a 2-year cycle whereas Tail, Cobra, Callaway, they’re all on every year. So, I’d expect to see them other two anytime now as well. A lot of the comments have been saying that it’s quite early in the year for Tail to be releasing their new one. Last year was only the start of December and the year before that was a similar time to this year. I think it’s just more common these days to see them before their official release from the brand. But keep in mind, even though they do change it every year, they do tend to keep with the same design for like 3 or 4 years maybe until you change it up completely. What a lot of people were expecting and hoping for them to address was the size of the core head. That was kind of the main issue I think with the Qi35 and probably the reason why a lot of their tour pros weren’t actually playing this last year. Does look like it maybe is a bit smaller. It’s hard to tell off a video and with nothing to compare it to, but I would be very surprised if they haven’t shrunk that head down slightly on the core model. On that core model, they’ve added in two weights at the back and two at the front as well instead of the single ones. So, it’s like the R seven quad mini driver really with hints of a similar look and color to that. And it probably wouldn’t be far off saying that those four weights have something to do with the 4D name, although I’ve not seen anything about that yet so far. The low spin head has moved from a previous double weight in the front to just the one. The Max as well has added in a weight at the front which looks like it will give an option between front and back weight adjustments. And on top of all that, I think a lot of people have been liking the T logo in the middle. It looks like it’s just been simplified a bit and it looks quite clean and smart. As usual, they’re coming loss ranging from 8 to 12° on the core head. The LS will have an 8, 9, and 10.5 option, while the Max option includes lofts of 9, 10.5, and 12. And I think we can expect some pros to be putting this into the bag pretty soon. So, if you keep your eye out over the next couple weeks, I’m sure you’ll see one. So, that’s all I have on it at the moment. If you know anything else about it and you don’t mind sharing, just let us know in the comments. I’ll probably cover the Cobra and the Callaway when they surface. As usual, thanks for watching. I’ll see you all in the next

  1. Two things that I missed off was that the 8ºloft is a new option to the core head this year and also there is no sign of the max lite model as yet
